  • Matthew gives you a look at project Bad Decision and starts out by swapping the inexplicable snow tires that are on it for some more appropriately sized shop rollers. The video includes a discussion of removing locking wheel lug nuts when you don't have the key or the key is damaged, and gives you a look at this 88 Mustang roller and the brake and suspension setup that is on it.

@ mistersecret88 I have actually considered it. Not sure I would live it down though. From an objective point of view, I think that really has to be a consideration these days.

If those are real 95 Cobra R rims from Japan, they can worth a good fortune. Hope that black paint can come off, cause OEM never came in black.

I'm 100% sure they are replicas.

Do you have chips for a tune for sale

I have a small supply of Ford modules in stock. Because of the finite supply of them at the moment, I am only selling them with a dyno tune, or for the dyno tune price. I am actively looking for a new solution to this situation, but so far I haven't been successful in obtaining a replacement supply.

@johndishman8893 I get it. I actually spent most of the day today working on this problem with only some small stopgap successes. I would love to go back to selling the chips for a chip only price, and hopefully there will be a future date where that is possible. In the meantime, each stock chip represents a dyno tune that someone within driving distance will pay for, so it doesn't make sense to send them out for a chip only price when there is no legitimate way to replenish them. If you get a Moates Ford module that you want me to program for you, then we can talk because right now the limitation is the hardware availability.

NOPE ... these kind of locks make me smile when im in the supermarket and someone parks next to me ... they come off in under 20 seconds each ...
super-secret here ..take a 1/2 inch 12 point extended socket knock it on with a 3-5 lb sledgehammer and un screw with a 18v 1/2 impact ..works on them new outter spinner lock nuts too.... i do this all the time in the junk yards ...get a good socket not some cheapo china thing something with a warranty.

Hammering a socket on often works. The nuts are deep inside these wheels so hammering a socket on the big headed lock nuts was not an option. Fortunately by some miracle the key I had decided to fit at the last moment.

My two cents, those wheels are so ugly, why would anyone want to lock those things down. Hope you can get top dollar for them though.

@cunninghamroc Black has never been my color for wheels. On a red car they are a lot less obnoxious than on a black car though. Someone will love them if I need to sell them though!
