Whoa Matt! Another great glimpse at this beast! LOVE the PWM via LFO! Well Done! Not that this little box won't sell itself, but you're doing an excellent job ensuring that it will be impossible to keep this is stock for a while. Behringer named this one correctly and it is going to FLY off the shelves! Peace.

Love the transposing sequence. THAT is why I bought this thing!! I just got mine yesterday. Haven't quite figured out how to sync it with my Deluge & get those radical sounds yet.
@@mootbooxle I am having trouble understanding some of the more advanced concepts...I wish there was a better manual. OK for starters...the darker group of patch sockets is the "modulator" and the lighter are the "destination"? Or is it the other way round?
that's a very well thought synth, awesome sounding, great demo thanks ! Thank you especially for using accent features, they are subtle but very musical ! I love accents :p
I wanted this purely for the sequencer. Hands on, easy to use and instant jamming. Like the classic Roland sh-101. I just realized it has cv out, but no MIDI out. I can either get the Behringer 101 clone and hope midi out, or get a Kenton cv to midi converter. I just want to save quite a few sequences, load em up and turn a few knobs and call it a day.
Behringer have all the parts now for an MC-202, which is many of the same internals of the SH-101. This Crave doesn't go near that idea but it would be cool if they did a 202 with some of this functionality to it.
The bass lines and the sequencer is all very nice, but I would like to know how crazy it can get if you use the patch points. Can it sound as freaky as the Volca Modular for instance?
Hi Moot , I'm currently on this quest for a analog yet small bass synth - i'm gonna sell my Grandmother and wanting something smaller- . I really love the "earthquake-in-your-face-bass-sound" of my Grandmother and currently thinking of Crave, Minitaur, or Analogue Solutions Treadstone. I'm very curious if you have other suggestions /personal experience (soundwise). Thnx very much and greets from Holland
Impressive for having just one oscillator. Maybe Behringer should consider putting another one in and calling it a Crave Deluxe. But then again, that might be stepping on the Neutron's turf. Not having a second oscillator is really the only thing that would make me consider IK's Uno over this, but they're both so affordable that I could probably buy one Uno and two Craves and be perfectly happy...
Hi i'm trying to repeat the steps you run in the first 3 seconds and it doesn't work ...is any prior configuration required ? any parameter that i am missing to set ? 🤔🙄🥺
Sounds good and looks like loadsa fun. Wondering if it might become a bit of a one trick pony. Or two trick. The uno synth has 80 user writable patches with individual sequences. The crave possibly sounds better and is more user friendly, but the uno has the patch saving advantage. Mmmm. For the money I know what’s gonna happen though.
Great video , have you hooked this up to your SQ1 yet and experimented patching or 2 Craves patched into each other or Neutron or model D patched into Crave
what is it supposed to be? a synth on its own or something? i see mother 32 mentioned but it doesnt sound like it at all, more tb303 kinda watter-druppy resonance
Foundation Stepper of course, you can just patch the pitch CV to the filter cutoff and then tune the resonance to the fundamental, should be quite enormous! It’s essentially a Minimoog filter so yeah!
txrx no, it’s a successful Mother 32 clone but with some significant hardware differences. CEM 3340 oscillator with Model D ladder filter (so also does highpass). It doesn’t have any built-in FX!
Great video! If you happen to make another video, I would love to hear how to sequence reacts to the accents (and I'm dying to know how the little fellow will sound through some distortion :p)
Hey Matt, Do you know if the sequncer can be "disconected" from the VCO ? Would be cool if you want to use a tonal quantizer (CV of course) between those two to transpose the sequence and stay in scale !
Orelio Macchiavelli yes, you could do that! The easiest way I can think of would simply be to route the “KB CV” output (which is manual keys/MIDI notes + the sequencer merged) to your quantizer and then back into the CV input of the VCO!
Andreas Franke at the very low price point, “limited” is the name of the game here! More waveforms available: more switches and more jacks. Bigger panel. More cost. The Neutron is definitely a better synth...the main selling point of this is the sequencer and the small size I think.
Jerry Holden as soon as I am able to share it publicly, I have some videos where I’m doing exactly that - using Crave to sequence the Pro-1 and also using the Pro-1’s sequencer in sync with it! Soon I hope!
@sbmphr China is able to send very good satellites and reliable rockets to the moon, but they can make big craps too, all depends only on what you pay... Moog does not have the same specifications book than behringer... I have a Neutron and they had to change it twice in about 7 months... My Mother 32 works very well since 2015...Hence my question.
@sbmphr I think that you have absolutely no idea about industrial processes... the same chinese manufacturer can give you a lot of different quality levels for the same component. All depend on the price you're ok to pay it. That's why you can find a lot of chinese craps having a very short live and at the same time, they can also build very reliable space rockets with a high quality as high as the Nasa... If you think that all these things are built using the exact same components because they all are chinese, you are obviously wrong... For the Neutron, I was perhaps unlucky apart the fact I know a lot of other guys having problems with their own one. We are numerous to be unlucky. That can be true, of course. Or as for electronic components quality you're perhaps seeing the world with too much naivety...
