Feb 2024 Partnering With Your Soul

Humans are designed to crave companionship. We are pack animals who can’t easily survive without the help of others. Most people go through life looking for their soulmate-the one who will complete them and/or make their lives feel whole. But how often does this actually happen?
While the concept of marriage has existed for as long as we can remember, the idea of partnering with someone is fairly new. How are they different and what does this have to do with the soul?
Marriage is generally recognized as a legal agreement between two people in a personal relationship where roles are divided for the sake of maintaining the union. Partnering involves not only sharing responsibilities and supporting one another emotionally and physically, but also knowing your partner well enough to anticipate and take care of needs in such a way that there is an almost seamless flow between the individuals involved. Partnering is more of a dance between two people in which communication, respect, trust and willingness to compromise and collaborate are natural parts of the relationship. While this type of bond may seem even more unlikely than a well-functioning marriage, one partnership is entirely possible-a partnership with your own soul.
Your ultimate soulmate is you. The relationship you build with yourself and your soul-the truest and deepest part of who you are-is the most vital of all types of unions. Partnering with your inner ally ensures not only life-long fulfillment, but an overall ability to connect with others in a much deeper way as well.
