This is an excellent video. I love the part where they feature Lenny Castro on the bongos. Thanks, Robert K. For more great Toto songs, I suggest "Hold The Line", "Rosanna", "Georgy Porgy", "I'll Supply The Love", "I Won't Hold You Back", "Afraid Of Love" and my favorite "99".
Thanks Robert K for the live version of such a beloved track. They had some big hits back in the day but this live was fabulous. Great reaction, L33, you rock. Blessings all.
@KLStorer he was really great. The whole show was fantastic, but I really loved seeing Colin Hay doing his Men at Work songs. And of course Ringo didn't disappoint.
The Roseanna shuffle pretty well known in the drum world. Pocarro a highly respected session player. I just listened to La Grange for the millionth time. Can any drummers tell me if Beard is playing a shuffle.
I believe the brothers here talked about as teens they saw Emerson Lake and Palmer live in the US. Thinking about starting a band, they were blown away by the gig. And decided they needed a keyboard/ Moog. The rest is history. Once again ELP influences lives!
Toto are a phenomenon as much as a band. Roseanna is a must listen to track, studio or live. This is a nice early live version with Bobby Kimball vocals and he sang the studio version too. There are some available with Joseph Williams who is arguably the better vocalist of the two, the fans are divided.
Go ahead and explore some more Toto. There's a good list of songs in one of the comments already. I'd suggest you do "Hold The Line" next. They're all really talented musicians.
This was good live version and a good jam at the end. But it’s really necessary to listen to the studio cut. Can’t believe it swell over 40 years since I saw them do this. Smh.
I mean from my limited perspective and from the sample of the bands I do on here, yes they are a lower band. But like I said, I don’t know shit about them so my mind is opened to be changed.

I loved these plus "Pamela", maybe generic to some, but I liked it.😄
love 99
By far their biggest hit. So iconic if you were here in the 80s. Keep it rockin' L33 🎶🎶🎵🎶🔥💯✌️☮️🕊️🇺🇸
I’ve always loved Toto’s Africa. The jam was good. Thank you, Robert K.

Great version of the song, thanks Robert K.
I saw original band member, Steve Lukather play this live in Ringo Starr's band recently. It was phenomenal
I love Ringo and I loved all the other members of this summer's All Starr band, but Lukather's renditions of the Toto songs was the high spot for me.

Since you havent heard any other Toto I will request a few more next month glad you liked it so much.
Nice one Robert, professional musicians just killin it. Toto almost had too much talent. 😊
I love this song ❤

Oooooh that was so good. I've never heard this song sound like this (in the second half).

Always loved this song. Never saw this live version and it was so worth it. That lead and bass jam was TASTY!

❤🎉❤ vocals ✔️,

Simon Philips is a great choice to replace Jeff Porcaro
Band of session players I think.
yup all of them are
Originally, they were the band for Boz Scaggs.
💜💜💜💜
I didn't think I would like this 😅 But I really enjoyed what it turned into.

More LUKE! Please....😃
Thanks! Try Rosanna.
Pretty damn close to the original band for so long after the original. Original drummer was missing. I know he died recently, maybe health reasons.
Jeff Porcaro the drummer died long ago in 1992 at 38

The jam was good in the second half. The first half is “africa” by Toto lol
Great band / song Bobby Kimbal on lead vocals , such a great vocalist !
