i dent my guitars just by looking at them, polyurethane finish is not immune. You're thinking of polyester resin, that is indeed rock-hard and extremely durable.
@@mentalitydesignvideo - you can dent a poly finished guitar if the body wood is an inexpensive type of basswood. Better quality basswood or alder, not so much. I have an 85 Japan Strat that is impossible to dent.
"I have gigged the heck out of this guitar!" "It's pretty rough looking" That guitar is cleaner than many brand new guitars hanging on the store walls! It's refreshing seeing someone that takes care of their gear! With all the relicing these days, and everyone talking how a banged-up guitar has character, I wondered if I was just being OCD trying to keep my instruments as nice as possible, It's refreshing to see a gigging musician with a pristine guitar that's had lots of play time! Killer video my friend, you guys offer some fabulous products! Oh yeah, your playing is killer too!
Every business has a "secret menu". I was 15 in 1985 and the Scorps were my band. This would have been right around Rock You Like A Hurricane time period. Matthias Jabs was the one who got me to pick up a guitar. The local music store in the little town I grew up in was a BC Rich distributor, so I bought a Warlock (Mick Mars also a huge influence) with a Big Muff pedal and a Fender Deluxe Reverb. That was my first rig. I had a tuning fork that I would slap on my knee, tune the A string, then backtrack and tune the rest to the A. I didn't get my first real tuner till two years later. But when you have to tune like that, it makes you develop your ear and when you play an out of tune guitar, you know it immediately. I love all three of those "oddball" guitars, and the SD JB pickup is the best pickup ever made. I have them in all my Warmoth guitars. When you split the coils, you can get a fantastic Strat tone. And the full on growl of it in humbucker mode it legendary.
i don't know why it's never occurred to me to look and see if you guys have a channel. but i'm glad you do. i have purchased stuff from you guys several times, and it's been great every time.
I have seen that last guitar before when Spike sent me a picture of it back in 2018 when I asked about the carved at the bridge. Cool too actually see the whole guitar 🤘🏼🎸
I have a 18 year old American Fender '62 re-issue Strat that I put a Warmoth neck on right after I bought it. It has a compound radius rosewood fretboard, corian nut, Sperzel tuners and 21 small frets.with a head stock adjustable truss rod. It still plays like a dream all the way up the scale.
Thanks for your vid Aaron. I appreciate your time and efforts. Stay safe and healthy. I just received my roasted maple strat neck a week ago and I'm anxious to get it on my 80s era Dimarzio strat style body.
Well...speaking for myself. ..ALL 3 of those guitars are AWESOMELY SWEET!!! Especially LOVE the Explorer..but the other 2 are AWESOME!! Sounds great too!!!!
as much as it is a large commitment to have them done, I LOVE scalloped necks. I bought a counterfeit Yngwie Malmsteen pro model strat that played so amazingly. it had super dead frets in some spots but I did my best to tamper with it and man it was so fun
Aaron! You are awesome man. Great playing and thanks for the Warmoth update. I’ve ordered many bass bodies and necks over the years and you guys just make the best stuff and are totally cool guys. I’ll be ordering a Olympic white pbass with a pj configuration when you guys are up and running again. Take care and stay healthy.
Awesome video. I love the guitars. yeah, The blue green one flame maple scalloped fret with a Floyd rose but is way cool!!! Keep up the great videos. And I love the LPs on the wall. I also have the old Jackson headstock on my V2. I was mad when I had to get a nomad neck last year for my soloist I built...I wish Ken would have just paid the licensing fees so he could make the older models that have been discontinued. i.e. PRS, Gibson, Jackson etc...It's a pain in the butt to hunt through Ebay looking for them. BTW, I never get stainless frets. They are too springy sounding.
Awesome video Aaron. All three guitars are sweet! Love one off guitars! That's one of the best reasons to buy WARMOTH BODIES AND NECKS! You can build custom guitars to your specks. Jackson is my favorite production guitars. Fender keeps making cheapest versions they can. Figured tops are so thin I don't know if it's real or just a photo! Buy from WARMOTH and get top QUALITY parts made in the USA. Love reverse Arcade head stocks. I call the extra point the rino horn on my WARMOTH necks. I also get the wizard profile. Those necks are so AMAZING they put Jackson's necks to shame. I also love the bridge pickup only and one knob set-up. I could go on all day about WARMOTHS AMAZING QUALITY. I'll be glad when life gets back to normal. I hope everyone stays safe!!!
I'd love it if Warmoth made regular 24 fret necks with no fretboard overhang. With a full scallop, it doesn't make sense to me to not have the last two frets scalloped as well. I wonder how much the manufacturing process would need to be adjusted for that.
All Warmoth's products are based on Fender's original 2-3/16" neck pocket specs, and have to be compatible with that. A 24 fret neck with no overhang would not be, and that's why we don't do it. Hope that makes sense!
Love your uploads, man, great job! Reg. the last shown horn on this vid, would really like to see the back of the body...I`m a sucker for those green/blue/red (ish) quilted tops with that kind of "natural" backs....PRS, but not quite....stay safe, stay healthy!
Love the finish of the last green guitar, which is also on the thumbnail. Is it "TURQUOISE DYE" or "TRANSPARENT TURQUOISE" on flame maple top, or any other special?? I'm thinking about my dream guitar to order. Thank you!
I've been watching a lot of these and am curious if there is anything special to know about getting a replacement neck for a 70s 3 bolt strat? Do they come predrilled or will I need special tools for setting it up? Thanks.
Excellent video Aaron! It would be nice to see some superwide necks and maybe discuss why certain shapes are not available anymore. For example, my 10-year old 25.5” bolt on Warmoth Les Paul is literally irreplaceable now that the Regal is what’s on offer and I’ve missed my opportunity to do a true Jackson Dinky-style Warmoth because of the Arcade neck. I’m not saying it would be an easy topic to cover, but it would be really nice to know why things are as they are. Thanks again, glad you remembered to say Keep on pickin’! and stay safe yourself. Much love from the UK.
I want an all maple tele with a wizard neck partially scalloped with a 17 or so inch radius and reversed headstock. Locking gold tuners, only side fret markers, a set of gold brass emg pickups. Either a humbucker mini humbucker combo or humbucker single coil combo. I want a locking trem with mixed gold and silver parts. I was gold knobs and switches using push pull pots for splitting. I want the body to be stained a perfect sunburst, and then painted seafoam green and weathered until you can see both finishes. Top it off with a mint pick guard and bam, the best guitar for me. I’ve never played a 7/8 guitar but I like the idea so maybe if I liked the size.
If you look at the picture I use for my logo, that is a body and neck that I bought from Warmoth in the 70's. The body was a special shape that they only made a few of, and the neck was made from some amazing African wood that they said only grew in one valley in Africa and had to be brought out on the backs of elephants. It sounds amazing!!!
Ibanez' JEM has demonstrated 30 years ago that it is very well possible to scallop the topmost frets right up to the 24th. in fact, the top 4 or 5 ones are all that Steve Vai ever commissioned to be scalloped in the first place. So: no, it it is not impossible to scallop the top frets.
Still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on that LPS body I had been dreaming about for years. Now i’ll never get to build that LPS to match the LP I’ve had since the early 90’s. Stupid Gibson. Cool oddballs!
That black guitar is not ugly. I absolutely hate strats. Like, can't stand them. But that black "ugly" guitar actually looks awesome. Lol. I'd gladly rock that thang
How about a video going over some of those off-menu options you mentioned?
Great idea!
Or how about some of the coolest or weirdest requests Warmoth has accommodated
for guitars that have been gigged to death, you keep them pretty clean!
No kidding. If I was using those, they’d be completely beat-to-shit. I’m just too hard on guitars/accident-prone
It's because they have polly finishes. It's kind of like a plastic shell encasing the wood
This is Pro who is trained to handle guitars without your brutish disregard for them.

Surfing with the Alien, Invasion of Your Privacy, 1984, and (I think) Van Halen II all in the first frame. You have great taste!
and World Wide Live \m/
Aaron, that last guitar body is absolutely the sickest finish I’ve ever seen! Congrats on an awesome guitar.
that super strat oddball at the end is sick looking!
the upper fret access is horrible but ordering it without paint then removing some of the body near the joint helps
You've unleashed "the fury!"
Just when you think that nothing can get more 80's than Aaron's wall, he busts out the Matthias Jabs rep's and licks.
The tape and holes strat looks awesome, Mine's got tape and holes too.
Yeah the black strat isn't ugly at all. Looks and sounds like a metal machine. Didn't Kirk Hammett have an ESP something like that in the One video?
That green flame top is awesome
That green guitar is beautiful
That third one is a real beauty.
I play “I’ll see the light when testing guitars at stores all the time” CLASSIC and inspiring
Yes! Thanks for starting the home vids Aaron. I was hoping the top brass would green light this!
Thanks Aaron for sharing those oddballs. Good that you are still doing Warmoth videos during this down time.
Thanks for the video Aaron, some cool and interesting oddballs there.

The teal color guitar is absolutely gorgeous!
Awesome video! I loved this one, I pray y’all get through this rough time in good health. Y’all stay safe!
The paint job on that last one with the scalloped fretboard is seriously pretty. I like the strings straight into the body too.
i don't know why it's never occurred to me to look and see if you guys have a channel. but i'm glad you do. i have purchased stuff from you guys several times, and it's been great every time.
Thank you for sharing...it's not only about looks but mainly about sound. They got it....keep rocking and more more videos!Loved it.
The neck I got from you guys is awsome, and im diggin the JS Surfing with the Alien CD in the backround!
Great collection! Maybe we could see a full studio tour or guitar collection?
Also played my favourite Yngwie riff!
I have seen that last guitar before when Spike sent me a picture of it back in 2018 when I asked about the carved at the bridge. Cool too actually see the whole guitar 🤘🏼🎸
Dude, the white explorer totally rocks!!!.....like a hurricane LOL
Keep the oddballs coming!!
Some badass axes. I love the last one.
I am so digging that green one. 💖

Straight up guitar porn. Thank you for sharing. And please, please, please, do more videos!
Thanks for your vid Aaron. I appreciate your time and efforts. Stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for sharing these guitars!
That 3rd gtr looks amazing, nice flame!
That recessed bridge is doooooooope.
Great video! Keep on uploading 'em !
Some of my favorite albums of all time are hanging on that wall behind you. Rock on!!
Keep an eye on 'em...I'll be changing them up!
Fun post, thanks for keeping it going, Aaron!

be safe, be happy, work hard \m/
I love the green one.
Love these videos!

Very nice, the 2nd one was my favorite.
Love all 3 Guitars Aaron!! Bad ass!
I've already got my next Warmoth build planned out! Just need to find a new job first! Damn COVID-19
Yes a job would help
the first guitar is what custom guitar builds are all about.
Very cool! Thanks!
The last one is sweet.
Those odd guitars look oddly new. That's odd! Great vid, thanks a lot, waiting for more to come.
Oddly, they are all least 7 years old! :)

Your oddballs are so unique and beautiful to me (fdesalvo here). I LOVE LOVE LOVE that soloist.
Hey fdesalvo! Ya, that Soloist is a looker for sure.
The last one is bad ass.
Odd balls? Great guitars roll that power on brother
The last guitar is a great guitar. It's basically a fixed bridge guitar with the benefit of staying in tune like a floyd.
I'd love it if Warmoth made regular 24 fret necks with no fretboard overhang. With a full scallop, it doesn't make sense to me to not have the last two frets scalloped as well. I wonder how much the manufacturing process would need to be adjusted for that.

I unofficially wish you an unofficial safe and illness-free respite from your unofficial Warmoth Lair of Aaron. 🍻
the explorer is just neat !
Great video.
Killer flame top.
I love oddball guitars. If I wanted basic, I'd just buy off the shelf.
*the turquoise finish tho 😍*
*What finish is that?*
the last one was the best
Love your uploads, man, great job! Reg. the last shown horn on this vid, would really like to see the back of the body...I`m a sucker for those green/blue/red (ish) quilted tops with that kind of "natural" backs....PRS, but not quite....stay safe, stay healthy!

Any Matthias fan is top shelf in my books
Do more, also if you could is walk us through your live rig that would be great!

The 3rd guitar is my favourite
Mathias had a Bill Lawrence L-500XL in the bridge of his original black strat. Popular pickup back then.
Regards 🎸
Yep, I knew about that. Never felt the need to get that accurate my replica, but someday maybe...
I want an all maple tele with a wizard neck partially scalloped with a 17 or so inch radius and reversed headstock. Locking gold tuners, only side fret markers, a set of gold brass emg pickups. Aaron, you might have just started the resurrection of those discontinued parts. Haha! Cheers and stay safe!
"I'll see the light tonight!" Waooohhh!
cool axes!

Nice guitars! Stay healthy
Scorpions Tribute band HELL YEAH!
Why are those bodies no longer available? Some of that old stuff was cool!
There is a warmoth headstock with golden tuners that I really want to see... Nice playing by the way.
I want a video of you just playing those riffs lol

These videos make me wanna destroy my bank account.
Thanks Aaron!
I’m planning on making an entire warmoth build. But I’m piss broke so I’m gonna find a job and save up when everything settled
Still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on that LPS body I had been dreaming about for years. Now i’ll never get to build that LPS to match the LP I’ve had since the early 90’s. Stupid Gibson.
Cool oddballs!
hey aaron, after the quarantine is over, can you make a warmoth custom telecaster? i would love to see your taste translates to a tele.
is there a video that shows or tells you WHAT you will need to assemble when you guy a warmouth neck and body shipped?
Dang, I want an hss, two point trem version of the green flame maple top guitar!
Cool video
That black guitar is not ugly. I absolutely hate strats. Like, can't stand them. But that black "ugly" guitar actually looks awesome. Lol. I'd gladly rock that thang
The last guitar is super killer.
What color is it?
Also would like to know this
How Grreat you are1 HOW COMFORTINNG YOU RE THERE TO HELP ME WITH THE BUILD....
Nice!
How about a lesson on playing the Rock You Like a Hurricane main solo?
Proof that Aaron's a genius? The office chair - WITH RETRACTABLE ARMS for an ACTUAL Guitar player! GIMME! ;)
Thank-you for noticing! I searched high and low for that. Playing guitar: arms up. Mixing: arms down.
