Went to see motorhead in 92 at camden town forum. Lemmy pointed at me playing this song. I will never forget it. Had to stop on the way home because i could not here a thing
"There's a Mr Death at the door darling. I think he's come about the reaping, or something". "I have come for you. You're all dead" "So, how could we all die at the same time then?" "The salmon mousse".
It is much better when you see it live front stage at a small venue. or In a giant arena with a raging mosh pit that your part of 'Live it Love it" Motorhead the real deal. Their will only be one "LEMMY". And he will always live forever in a part of my heart and my soul. He truly lived his life on his own terms and never compromised his style.
One thing you gotta respect Motorhead for is they still fucking rocked this song out like there was 100,00 people there....all of the band too. The lame ass crowd did not affect their commitment to their mission. I guess that is why they lasted, they truly didn't give a shit what people thought about them.
Also, just completely professional musicians. There to do a job and give it 100 even if the 0:05 crowd can’t be fucked. Another live version of this from Finland is one of the greatest live performances I’ve ever heard- Motörhead at their absolute best.
You have to remember that Motörhead were a household name in the UK in the early 80s. They regularly appeared on kids TV shows and - believe it or not - were often featured in teeny pop mags like Smash Hits. Between 80 and 82 they were a huge act.
By 1984 we can clearly see now after almost 40 years /4 decades gone that it was still directly connected to the prior 70’s …. But like myself if you’re there in 1984 it was miles , light years from the 70’s , I do remember in 1984 looking my mothers magazine from 1976 and it to me looked like light years behind like centuries, but if you look it now it was only 4 - 5 years from the 70’s and l do remember my mother mentioning the RollingStones and they also seamed like as pre historically as dinosaurs 🦖 like the rolling stones has been playing Rock’n’Roll for 20 years , it seamed a such old and prehistoric that some band has been together for 20 years and now I look anything 40-50 years and it seams so young and fresh … everything I remember has at least 30 years ago , and it seams to me it was only yesterday’s, it’s really amazing how the whole perspective changes as you grown older !
Utkarsh Dubey think the song had it's real magic with Wurzel and Pete . Actually think it sounds best with this old school metal vibe rather than the more uptempo version they played later on.
Al Willmott Look for the BBC tv series "the Young Ones",there's an episode where Motörhead plays it with Phil Animal Taylor on drums and it's fuckin' great
Such a killer band.Great raw footage too. I’m just imagining how loud that was with 6 100 watt full stacks on stage. Lemme might have even been using the 200 watt Marshall major amps. That’s a LOT of volume. I play with one full stack and it’s louder than hell. I saw them in the early 2000s at an outdoor amphitheater show and it was so loud that they were getting noise complaints from the nearby airport 😄😄😄 you could hear Motörhead over the sound of jets taking off 😄😂😂 That’s become my musical goal. To be so loud you can hear my band over departing jet airliners😂😂😂😂
Lemmy said somewhere that the neighbors of this lot werent too happy. They rehearsed this first at like 8AM, Im guessing at the same volume, and its a bit much for some English folk I would say. but I love this version because you can hear just how FUCKING LOUD THEY WERE. Even in open air as they are!!
We played with this line up of Motorhead in New Zealand and I simply cannot relate in mere words just bloody loud the soundcheck was. Standing next to the drum kit and every time the kick drum was struck, my head felt like it was being rocketed about 3 meters up in the air. Sort of like being in an ultra-fast lift. I just could not comprehend how it was going to be possible for the four of them to play a set with that level of stage volume.
I always brought ear plugs when I saw Motorhead. I brought extra ones and offered them to my gf at the time at one show. She turned them down and regretted it later. They were the loudest band I ever witnessed.
Best MH-line up after Lemmy/Eddie/Phil. Great days. Still remember the feeling, when "No Remorse" came out and how I was looking forward to receive that parcel. I guess it was short before christmas and I had startet to earn my own money a few months before, at age 16. And "Orgasmatron" is still one of my favorite MH-albums.
This is how filthy rocknroll was always meant to be played...RIP Lemmy gone but never ever forgotten, one of a kind which the universe is a much better place for:-)
Here you can witness how great there were as a 4 piece. Wurzels & Campbells solos compliment each other so well, just listen to the dynamicsand the build-up of this great fucking classic and marvel at their raw ebergy.
There will never be another Lemmy and the will never be another Motorhead. Thank God that I lived to see them perform. Thankyou Lemmy. I still have the ringing in my ears!!!!
YEAH, BUT AT THE SAME TIME THEY (THE CAMERAMEN) FAILED TO SHOT THE CORRECT WAY AND WE MISS SOMETHING OF LEMMY AND THE REST OF THE BAND, WHAT DO YOU THINK, CHILLTON ?
This reminds me of the first, and only, time I saw Motörhead. The Netherlands, Leiden, 1982. I totally wasn't into hardrock. Queen (best band ever btw) was the loudest I liked. But a friend I was visiting bought a ticket for me, and we went. I didn't know what to think about it, but I was there, not knowing what a legendary concert I attended at the moment. Now, 40 years later, and a Motörhead fan now, I am so happy that friend took me to see Motörhead then.
So cool to see more footage of them with Pete Gill. One of my favorite drummers. I’ve only seen their 10 Anniversary show that has him. So much good music from this era. Snaggletooth, Steal Your Face and of course Orgasmatron later. 🤘
Yeah! the little kid MUST be a Rocker by now!!! Rip lem, We'll never forget you guy play Rock 'n Roll!!! ;)....Forever MOTORHEAD, once in you never leave.
Pure joy, Lemmy and co belting it out in some fucking brutal carpark, but the best bit is at 4:12 when young Tommy or whatever is dragged away by his horrified mum. Another convert.

Lemmy was in his thirties when this was filmed.........12/24/11 he turns 66 and he's still rocking the shit out of hell today, Happy Birthday Lemmy we all love you.
LUGER WOLF Yeah their 4-piece lineup was musically the best hands down. This version here is even better than the one on "No sleep at all", here Lemmy stops singing towards the end and from 3:50 the guitars (Phil is really great here) drive the song till the final crescendo. Very energetic!
Agreed, wurzel was so underrated, I was at a bike rally with him and jem in 2002 and the band got him up to play ace of spades he fucking shredded it and he got mobbed afterwards, that made him so happy cos he always felt that no one cared about him after he left motorhead. Truly the nicest and most humble guy in rock, rip my friend.

Good ol' Pete Gill on drums. Still alive and well, in fact I sometimes bump into him at the local supermarket here in Sheffield. :)
Not seen him in years 04 ish glad he's ok
Manchester apolo 1986. Pete Gill on drums awesome. I'm still deaf. Zodiac mind warp.
Having seen him with this set up rumours are he is still to this day wearing those shorts.

@JasonPatterson-jr2ww As far as I know, Lemmy is the only songwriter who has managed to get the word "parallelogram" into a song!

Absolutely mental this was on a Saturday kids’ show! Superb.
Back when people actually cared about what kids were watching and listening to!!! Now they try to kill them and chop their bodies all to shit!! Sad!

This is pure rock at it’s finest. I love Phil Campbell’s solo at the end.

I like his solo after the beginning too.
