- "Back in England, before starting off on our tour to promote "No Remorse" (it had come out in the UK the month before), we made an appearance on ITV's "Saturday Starship" (a kids' Saturday morning show - the successor to "TisWas"). Apparently some people complained because we were rehearsing early in the morning for the show in the station's parking lot. I don't know what the problem was - 8:30 AM was the time they gave us to rehearse and they put the stage up in the parking lot for us." - Lemmy

I’ve seen them 3 times back then, People standing around and staring was the norm for Motörhead , they were the opening act a lot, unfortunately the sound system for opening bands usually sucked
Imagine opening for Slayer, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden when these bands were on fire, even the crowds were not fans of Motörhead back then, I’ve seen it, I went because I wanted to see Motörhead , my all time favorite band

Best ever version of 'Killed By Death', Phil Campbell nails it..it's a cracking set all round, almost surreal: Motorhead tearing it up, in what looks like a post-apocalyptic inner-city car park, with dazed and confused zombie shoppers as the crowd..priceless..thank god all this diverse Motorhead stuff still survives out there.
"post apocalyptic"... I mean, I know it's Birrmingham in the mid 80's, but that's still a bit harsh.
The version on the live album "Everything Louder Than Everyone Else" is pretty awsome too.
I was there central news said on the Friday night news broadcast Bob Warman said that motorhead were playing in the carpark tomorrow on the Saturday starship I was 15 at the time and me and my mate went over what a great day I got Pete Gills drumstick too

I remember watching this 14 years old on tv Motorhead AC/DC and Saxon killed it in 84 on the sony walkmansthe power was there and if you saw them live it rocked your head, Donington 84 I will never ever forget Ozzy and AC/DC totally stole the show fuck van halen .

I seen this lineup open for Slayer , Slayer was at their best, Slayer destroyed all opening acts including unfortunately Motörhead , watching Slayer back then , it was like a beast escaped from hell😮
They ve played the songs in a short way, or they video is cutted down, but that's very impressive too. A great and scurril show. Great!!

Remember, Saturday Starship was a CHILDREN'S morning TV show, and openly smoking in front of kids is bad enough, but it's a fire hazard as well. Bronze was just about to drop them off the label, they just released a compilation album with some new tracks on it (killed by death is one of them) it was a low time in ther career, not because of the things that they were putting out though, Robbo really fucked they're image as a band, still, Another Perfect Day is a misunderstood album.
It's a great album. One of their best I think, but i can see why it was received poorly when it came out with it being the first album without Eddie. I could see some fans being "if eddie aint in it then fuck it"
It’s their best whole album , I’ve seen them live too with that lineup. Motörhead is best with 2 lead guitars . Playing bars with one guitar is one thing , arenas not enough punch. I was never impressed live by Motörhead . Always tech problems or sound board issues back in the 80’s
