  • Skyrim has always been a large game, since its release almost eight years ago. But since then, The Elder Scrolls 5 managed to grow even larger thanks to a series of DLC releases by Bethesda. The final expansion, Dragonborn, took players to the island of Solstheim, a massive land littered with Easter Eggs and hidden details to be uncovered. So today we’ll be taking a look at five more Solstheim/Dragonborn DLC secrets you may have missed in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

    i don't think usha was taking skooma to drown his sorrows.
    what is much more likely is that usha was using the effects of skooma to mine more efficiently.
    in addition to that skooma can also have effects involving a boost to strength and speed, so usha was likely using it to work longer and faster wich, in time, took it's toll on him, since skooma damages intelligence and willpoer permanently and without any restore intelligence/willpower potions anywhere near him, he was most likely a highly productive, functioning addict until the constant working and the clouding of the mind, made him unaware of how muc hdamage he was doing to himself, he probably died of maleurishment or froze to death, being unable to notice hunger or cold while high on skooma all while ocnstantly working his ass off.

    I don't want to spoil it in case you or other comment readers has yet to find it, but if you get into the home of the blacksmith in Raven Rock, you can find an item called Glover's Letter that might be kind of cool to cover in a video like this relating to Solstheim if it hasn't been already mentioned. Sheds some like on a character I've always personally liked, as well as giving the Dragonborn a unique gemstone.

    Having reindeer pull goods in pulks has been very common in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland for over 2000 years, and is very much part of the norse culture that Skyrim gets the inspiration from. They still do this in some areas today, although just not as commonly.

It was during the quest "A new source of Stahlrim", when dealing with the Thalmor Soldiers, be it at the abandoned lodge or at Northshore Landing, if you are wearing full Thalmor robes, the guards will just ignore you and you can talk to their leader, Ancarion instead of having to murder all of them to death.

    You probably covered this already Nate but at the Usha scene, you can pick the Strongbox and loot the East Empire Pendant one of plenty pendants to be found on Solstheim to be sold to Fethis Alor in Raven Rock.

    In my personal headcanon, the carriage and such are actually the remains of uncle sweetshare, died doing what he loved best... rolling up to random people and forcefully plying them with homemade psychoactive drugs.

    On the subject of the Sadri family, isn't there also a Sadri in windhelm that has his own shop? This family is bigger than it originally seemed, but then again a lot of dunmer share last names it seems

    I love these videos. I've noticed something though, Nate. The end theme for these videos sounds a little like Tommy James and the Shondells "Crystal Blue Persuasion". Is this intentional? Just curious.

    As you pointed out in a previous video, Arvak could be a nod to one of the two horses that pulls the Chariot. Maybe they're worshipping the other horse, the Chariot and the rider.

    In an earlier video you talked about a theory that the reiklings were are different mutation of the snow elves, if that is indeed a Santa reference, it might hint towards the theory that they are really elves worshiping santa

  • @TheDanishGuyReviews

    8:40 It is entirely possible it's actually a reference to the Danish Bronze Age artefact the Sun Chariot instead.

    Mudcrabs probably have the same life expectancy as normal crustaceans. They are kinda immortal, only dying when eaten by a predator, disease, or just to big to move and die of starvation.

    For the Riklings ( sp?) maybe they killed Santa and saw his sleigh as the ultimate sleigh. So now they worship it

    Hey Nate did you know there are some secret locations on solsthiem, if you search up "mount moesring" the wiki mentions all four, I didn't know this mysf until yesterday when my brother challenged me to climb to the highest point in solsthiem, I was pleasantly surprised to find the location involved

    4:35 the story about chucking the bottle up and hitting the netch reminds me of the movie Twister where Bill Paxton has a story about him chucking a bottle into a tornado and it never hitting the ground =)

    Oh snap lmao! I just played thru the reikins and horse carriage scene! I was wondering why they were bowing

  • @pseudorchid2109
    @pseudorchid2109 2 года назад

    The Reiklings praying to the carriage reminds me a lot of cargo cults. During some wars, armies would stop at islands on their way to destinations. The islanders started worshipping the coming of planes that bring food and shiny new toys.

    On the subject of the reiklings, I say your Santa theory is more fun, but your second theory is more likely the canon one.

    • @troodon1096
      @troodon1096 5 лет назад

      The Santa reference is likely the intended joke outside of the 4th wall, but the other theory is more immersive, and joke or not, is likely the in-game intended explanation.

    I would have loved a reference to the mudcrab merchant. However I just don't get that vibe from him since the most important detail was always the 10,000 gold he has to buy stuff you sell to him. If Old Salty was a bit richer, I think I'd believe it. Still an interesting find though~
