Hey Nate, I have a suggestion for the regular series. So a small detail that many a dragonborn have missed is that in the Thieves Guild questline, when heading into Snow Veil Sanctum to kill Karliah, plot twist, she saves your life from Mercer, you’re blatantly told that the dungeon is home to the previous guildmaster, Gallus’ final resting place, but you never actually see the body, and assume it’s just somewhere as you’re pulled out of the dungeon. Well, if curious enough, and you randomly decide to head back through the dungeon that you have no reason to ever go back to unless you missed the Model Ship, and head to the final chamber, and you can find Gallus’ skeleton. Despite knowing that it’s here, the likelihood that anyone would go back to see it is extremely low. Not much, but an amazing tiny detail most would have missed.
You can actually see the skeleton during the cutscene of you getting shot with Karliah's poison arrow and being stabbed by Mercer Frey, if my memory serves me correct. It's been a few years since I've done that particular quest line. I think that you should be able to see a skeleton when the cutscene triggers or something.
I think I remember seeing it years ago when I went back to Snow Veil Sanctum as I wanted to do a clean sweep of the place to see if there was anything I missed and I think I happened upon Gallus’ Skeleton in the final room and not thinking much of it.

The Pyro-Mann Yes, the dunmer, known for their rounded ears... It was retroactively claimed to be Jiub in Skyrim bc fans said it looked like him. In game it’s just a decaying human head, decay being the cause of the rotting eyes and ashen skin. It’s used all throughout the game, particularly in the planes of oblivion. There’s even multiple instances of the same head in the city of kvatch.
Hey nate I’ve played Skyrim for a long time and I just recently figured out some hidden dialog. After rescuing Serana from the cave you can take her back to Fort Dawnguard instead of heading straight for her castle. She will have a unique interaction about the fort and you can talk to Isran. You can tell him all about Serana and get some unique interaction from him.
Nate, i dont know if you have covered this small detail yet, and i just found it today. When you are stealing Frost the horse from the Black Briars, on his deed of ownership, it says his great-grandsire is "Sleipnir" which is the name of Odin's 8 legged horse from Norse mythology. Love the vids, keep em up.
If you get to the part in the story to find esbern if you go riften for the first time you can tell brynjolf that your looking for esbern he will have some unique dialogue a tiny detail
Durnehviir, the summonable undead dragon you unlock can also be called in blackreach too, he's a bit clunky down there cus he can't fly but he can and will happily murder any falmer or dwarf constructs that decide to use you for target practice. personally I like to find somewhere really really high and let him get some air whenever I'm bored. he's such a polite dragon, he almost always thanks you when you summon him, Ive taken to calling him Durnes.
I recently discovered that if you tell Harkon no to being a vampire then clip your war through the wall to the right of the castle gate and then go in through the front door. The entire castle is just open and everyone seems a little bugged out. You can trade with the few shopkeepers and take whatever you want then just leave. Also Harkon is broken and just stands in the hall in his vampire lord form. Not really useful but I found it kinda interesting.
The reason Arvak can be summoned in Blackreach is because Blackreach is technically an outside cell. You can you Clear Skies and Storm Call down there for the same reason. And, you missed one! There is a Race-Specific interaction in Fort Dawnguard itself. After recruitment efforts add more NPCs to the Fort, you can run into a Wood Elf woman named Beleval. If your Dragonborn is also a Bosmer, she will comment on this fact by complimenting you (if you are male) and expressing her surprise at seeing a fellow Bosmer fighting Vampires (if you are female). (As a side note, she is also the only Female Bosmer follower available in the entire game)
Hey Nate, So I don't know if you've covered this, but if you take the road south of Dragonsbridge and head till you cross another bride there is a raided wagon(not the moth priests, a different one). This wagon has a merchant and a note or a journal(can't remember which) and the whole place is littered with Falmer arrows, indicating that the Falmer have been making raids on the surface. Just an interesting tid bit.
I was playing through the dawngaurd DLC and had just finished it, went back to the dawngaurd fort and realised that the moth priest will take the 3 dragon scrolls off you for 6000 gold. Literally never realised this, and used to just carry them around 🤣🤣🤣
I've seen people make him in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) as their personal character and max him out using ragged clothes as their only armor, and sometimes fists, but I've only see that from the dedicated players. It's amazing.
Hey Nate. not sure if it has been covered or mentioned before, but I only found this out recently and I've been playing for quite a few years. If you head over to Sovengarde and speak to the guy guarding the bridge, he will ask you "by what right can you enter?". The normal response is "by my birthright of dragon born". if however you have completed any other secondary quest such as the mages college, the dark brotherhood, or theives guild, it will come up with other unique options such as "by right of knowledge, I am the archmage" or "by right of death, I am the listener". It's quite a unique one that I was super excited about when I found it out.
If Katria is based on Ria then the Dwemer Forgemaster would be a slight (but noticable) nod to the Numidium. Aetherial Staff's power is pretty unique and familiar too
Hey Nate, love your videos. Quick question, do you use mods with these videos? Besides the dlc obviously. Looking to do a playthrough of this game again since it first released. Want to keep my eye out for some of things you showcase but want to know if you need any mods to experience them.
Yo, another „tiny“ detail from the main game that I bet like 90% might have missed (I only did discover it in my 9th or so playthrough doing that quest) is that in the Whiterun quest to restore the tree, when going to Eldergleam Sanctuary with that pilgrim Maurice Jondrelle following you, after hitting the tree’s roots blocking the way with Nettlebane he will catch up to you and if asked he reveals another way to complete the quest, goes up to the tree and prays to it and the player will then receive an Eldergleam Sapling to deliver to Danica Pure Spring in Whiterun and shortly after a new, smaller Gildergreen tree will grow in Whiterun‘s Wind district. Maybe include dat in the next „Tiny Details“
I remember a tiny bit with Katria that might be interesting. When you find her body, she'll mention it and morn, but if you take the armour off her body, leaving her corpse in her underwear, she'll dishearteningly rebuke you for it, saying something like 'Really, did you have to humiliate me?' ..... Don't ask how I know that....
Not sure if you mentioned this one in a different video, but it's pretty easy to miss. If you try to talk to the random souls wandering the soul cairn, there's a chance one of them might say "Time is but a window. Death is but a door. I'll be back." which is a reference to Ghostbusters 2, in which those were the last words of the movies antagonist, Viggo the Terrible, when he was murdered to death centuries ago.
I found something that I don’t think you’ve ever mentioned in your videos. In the Pale Imperial camp, inside a chest in a tent, there is an amulet of Talos
Jiub is also refferenced in Oblivion in random converastion between NPCs in towns, confirming his story he was made a saint after driving the cliff races from morrowind
There is a nice secret in Helgen at the very begining of the game, it's in the very room where you find a dead stormcloack solder. (Just look up, I am sure that you missed it in 99% of your walkthrough guys).
Funfact, if you guys didnt know there is a unique restoration book i found when gaining the last word for the drain shout. At the bottom of skyrims map if you go right then up you see some stairs that lead to some potions and a draugur deathlord, but if you past that and to the right you'll see some stairs leading up to a tower with a few more enemies. At the top there is a restoration skill book with an entertaining tale. Glhf all!
Duhrnoviir (the dragon from the soul cairn) can also be summoned in Blackreach, and will even teach you the soul tare shout that he claims to reward you for letting him return to the sky’s of Skyrim once again. The first time I tried it I hoped he would fly around the same way that the orange ball dragon from blackreach does, but duhrnoviir prefers to just crawl around. Although mounting him with the Dragonborn ride dragon shout causes him to fly around and phase through the walls
Hey Nate, check The Blue Palace, after you won the war for Ulfric, i just found something interesting down the stairs. I found it when i was doing "The book of love" helping Calcelmo, after the war against the Empire.
I saw and enjoyed the first part of this series. I enjoyed this part as well, but you still never mentioned Auri-El's Shield found in the Forgotten Vale.
If you are referring to the cave system you enter from within the castle, you can activate the path's puzzle targets with any projectiles (arrows are more efficient).

One you may of missed but... It's possible to trade with the vampires the first time you meet them without having to pick a faction at that time. One merchant however sells the restoration spells to heal undead. He is on the balcony to the left as you go in. It's possible to reach him by jumping from the closest table and interacting with his leg before you hit the ground. This gets the player access to the otherwise off limit spells should the player reject the vampire lords offer. Hope this helps

Well if you didn’t know you can take wooden plates and press it against the wall of the vampire castle on the right side of the entrance and run into it while holding it up you will pass through the wall and can buy the spells you normally could not get if you side with the dawn guard.
When i became the lord of the vampires at Volkihar, i could rebuild the passage to the courtyard but nothing else yet... dont know if its a bug or if u just cant rebuild anything else, and no its not a mod. Anyone else rebuilded something else??
I've done this in vanilla special edition. If you talk to garan marethi in the volkihar castle after defeating harlon he gives you the choice to open up the passage to the courtyard
Daniel sharp will he give you choices to rebuild other parts of the castle? It doesnt make sense just to rebuild that one and leave the others like that
@@lifan9892 nope just the passage to the courtyard. He explains that harkon wanted it kept broken but since the player is in charge now you can get it fixed if you want
If you side with the Dawnguard you can use the old plate method to clip through the gate of the vampire's castle and enter the door to talk with them, I think there were a couple spells you could buy from one of them.
Hi, Nate. About the Harmony and Calm spells working on the Dawnguard members when the vampires use them, but not vice versa: go watch Bela Lugosi's original _Dracula_ movie. It explains this thing. A bit squicky IMO, but once you know prior vampire lore, it makes sense...
If you have completed the companions questline and became a werewolf, when harkon offers you immortality you can say "but I'm a werewolf" upon which harkon replies with "I know I can smell it on you" which makes me think of the twilight saga when the vampires say the wolves smell
you've been missing out, one of the potential quest rewards for lost to the ages "The Aetherial Crown" is incredibly useful. the other two rewards, the Aetherial Shield and the Aetherial Staff are fun to play around with but since you can only choose one of these three I recommend the crown.
@@Sianic12 Yeah. I was surprised Nate went off and mentioned it as a secret - everyone who hears of the Soul Cairn usually finds out about Jiub not long afterward because everyone makes a great deal about it.
You can do the restoration potion glitch to make a strong enchanting potion then make a alchemy necklace with a extremely high alchemy boost then make a fortify illusion potion and it will allow you to calm enrage or scare almost anyone including some that can't normally be effected by the spells
Nate I am playing this morning and thought I'd give you a new detail you may have missed that I am really enjoying! Did you every find the Spider scroll forge in Solsteim? If you get cured as part of the vampire faction they stop being friendly to you too, so if you become a vampire lord from serana, then try the harmony spell then maybe they will start selling to you.
I'm not sure if you covered this but if you are a vampire while joining the dawnguard they won't notice until you are tested for being a vampire and there is some interesting dialogue😂
While you become Lord or Lady of Volkihar (and after), your [future] underlings will send you on small errands advancing the war effort against the Dawnguard while also painting them as paranoid zealots in the eyes of the people, until you finally storm their citadel and murder them to death.
I always thought the Dawnguard side was the most boring side I've ever participated in. But the vampire side always had better quest and characters, memorable ones even. Dawnguard's just... bland, forgettable, boring for me.
Don’t know if you know this, but if you command a follower to use one of the pillar’s under Mirrak’s control in Solstheim, they’ll fall under his control.
I love the Elder Scrolls but Dawngaurd is the only bit of content I truly hate. In Skyrim the elder scrolls were a good plot point, in oblivion the elders scrolls made a good final addition to the thieves guild, I don't think they even show up in Morrowind, and I haven't played enough of Daggerfall or Arena to know about how they show up. My point is that the elder scrolls are rare and powerful, but Dawnguard threw that away and made a quest revolving around basic vampires involve FUCKING THREE OF THESE LEGENDARY ITEMS, IT GOT RID OF MY INTEREST AND LOVE FOR THE ELDER SCROLLS BECAUSE THE MOTH PRIESTS BECAME BASIC SCHOLARS AND THE SCROLLS WERE JUST MAP AND FUCKING PROPHECIES, THATS WHY I HATE DAWNGUARD

@@jayaitch3076 yeah he's covered this guy and the head like 5 different times. Looks like Nate is running out of ideas
Joshua Adam nice picking up on that “sleipnir” means slippery
The most pain In the arse quest in dawnguard is you had to go around the ancient falmer place and collect every water
She was always my favorite follower. I've only found one mod that allows you to revive her
I recently discovered that if you tell Harkon no to being a vampire then clip your war through the wall to the right of the castle gate and then go in through the front door. The entire castle is just open and everyone seems a little bugged out. You can trade with the few shopkeepers and take whatever you want then just leave. Also Harkon is broken and just stands in the hall in his vampire lord form. Not really useful but I found it kinda interesting.
I still can't believe after all this time Skyrim still surprises me! Awesome video man
"How's it going Nate? It's guys here"
How long will these vids go on for?
Im hoping a while i love these
Until Elder Scrolls 6 comes out
As long as people keep giving him content via comments on the previous video.
Another Arvak fact: He's the only summon spell that works with 100% magic absorption. Maybe it's not cast on the player like other summoning spells.
I was playing through the dawngaurd DLC and had just finished it, went back to the dawngaurd fort and realised that the moth priest will take the 3 dragon scrolls off you for 6000 gold. Literally never realised this, and used to just carry them around 🤣🤣🤣
I keep trying to quit playing after clocking THOUSANDS of hours in this game, but your videos brake my will off I go to make another new character
Prove ur 1000 hours
korncows1 And how exactly would they do that...?
Nate, you never fail to renew our undying love for this game. It’s simply supercallafrajjalistic expialladocious.
Haven’t you already brought up Jiub? Or am I crazy?
You can actually catch the apprentince on his way to Markarth, if you mention Katria--he will attack
Another amazing video!!
It’s mad how you watched an 11 minute video on 2 minutes
@@papashaggy9526 lol maybe it's speedwatching,maybe it's Maybelline😂
His name is Jiub, not Jib.
Ice Jiub from N'wahs With Attitude :)
@Lost Khajiit So? He'll never learn how to pronounce it right if we don't help him.
@Lost Khajiit Come at me, Nate! Murder me to death!
Jiub pronounces it Jib
Jiub literally says his own name and pronounces it "jib" what are you on about
I remember a tiny bit with Katria that might be interesting. When you find her body, she'll mention it and morn, but if you take the armour off her body, leaving her corpse in her underwear, she'll dishearteningly rebuke you for it, saying something like 'Really, did you have to humiliate me?' ..... Don't ask how I know that....
"Really? The Armor too... at least leave me with some dignity". XD
im pretty sure you already mentioned saint jiub in the normal secret series :), still great episode
Vampires suck.
Can't believe you didn't waste your comment by saying you was first because you were
I agree vampires are a threat to Skyrim and we Dragon Borns must stop them
demandred1957
Naw, that’s lame. I’d rather make a dumb joke.
You are correct. Vampires suck. That is what they do. They suck blood to survive!
But I like the eyes the elves get if you turn into them, but I prefer being a werewolf.
I found something that I don’t think you’ve ever mentioned in your videos. In the Pale Imperial camp, inside a chest in a tent, there is an amulet of Talos
"Murder to death"
Is there any other way
Dan c plenty for the initiated.
vampires were murderd to life as undead.
I know what you actually mean, but yes, there are other ways to die, murder isn't the only way. Also, this is an infamous inside joke on this channel.
Jiub is also refferenced in Oblivion in random converastion between NPCs in towns, confirming his story he was made a saint after driving the cliff races from morrowind
There is a nice secret in Helgen at the very begining of the game, it's in the very room where you find a dead stormcloack solder. (Just look up, I am sure that you missed it in 99% of your walkthrough guys).
bacd 1990 tell me pls
Nobody have finded yet the secrect place in the Dawnguard Fortress that only can be opened using solar spells ?
What explain pls.. im confused
If you are referring to the cave system you enter from within the castle, you can activate the path's puzzle targets with any projectiles (arrows are more efficient).
@@squidwardwardsquid1349 the guy that sell tou sun spells sometimes said that there is a rumor that there is a secret room in the fort that can only be opened with those spells ... but nobody has found it yet
@@raulparrado1547 i remember: that arkay priest guy used to say something like that. Back in the day, when i was tired searchin for it by casting that spell on every fricking wall i was facing, i startet researching the Internet. In fact: arkay lied. There is no such hidden place...sorry.... -.-
Luv the vidyas bro
Mouse Trap you haven’t finished it!
Daddy DIO -I always love his videos :)
Lmao there was duping method for all bolts .
I.e find the npc shooting at a tree ,pick pocket and replace the bolts and wait / the enchanted bolts dont explode...
on the 360 not sure on next gen.
What's with Nate and every video's thumbnail being a guy or gal with some text under it
Too bad lost to the ages quest is easily bugged, so according to my game her spirit is still trapped
That sounds like a mod, but I will admit to not having talked to anyone in castle volkihar past those required for the main questline.
@@Dusk_Shade Its not a mod
Hello Nate I love your skyrim videos I have been hoping you might do like a skyrim play through livestream series
Hi, Nate. About the Harmony and Calm spells working on the Dawnguard members when the vampires use them, but not vice versa: go watch Bela Lugosi's original _Dracula_ movie. It explains this thing. A bit squicky IMO, but once you know prior vampire lore, it makes sense...
@Lost Khajiit The mind-control element is the same in both... isn't it? That's what I was referring to.
I have nothing witty to say today in order to get likes. I just want to say I enjoyed today's video Nate.
If you have completed the companions questline and became a werewolf, when harkon offers you immortality you can say "but I'm a werewolf" upon which harkon replies with "I know I can smell it on you" which makes me think of the twilight saga when the vampires say the wolves smell
I’ve been playing Skyrim for years and I never new about any of these this is actually amazing
Traitorous bastard
seems like you have played skyrim but never lived it
you've been missing out, one of the potential quest rewards for lost to the ages "The Aetherial Crown" is incredibly useful. the other two rewards, the Aetherial Shield and the Aetherial Staff are fun to play around with but since you can only choose one of these three I recommend the crown.
Not even the Jiub Thing? Wow, that's sad. It's actually common knowledge.
You can exchange albino spider pods and gems to create scrolls of spiders of all sorts (poison from emeralds, frost from sapphires, and fire from rubies). The quality of gems will create different effects from the spiders and from what I can gather, some stick around indefinitely until they die in battle! You can find this forge during one of Neloth's side quests to find the black books. Look out for White Ridge Barrow! Love your videos! Thank you!
Thats like a common thing my guy
I totally found your video from August where you mention this! I just hadn't seen it yet! :D
@@notatruck2640 This game has been out just under a decade -- of course it is a common thing! But as a gamer who plays exclusively Nintendo, I haven't had the time to dive deep into this game until I got my copy on the Switch! And trust me, I'm loving every second of it! I have been keeping up on Nate's videos and hadn't seen this mentioned (until today) so I thought I'd help a brother out :D
Something I wish these games would incorporate, is that your actions have real significant meaning and consequences, I love playing Fallout 4 but it saddens me that I take over a place, I start building but there is very little I can change, not to mention rubbish is just left everywhere, mpc's should be cleaning the place up getting rid of rubbish and such, basically, you can terriform the land and make real changes
7 years and 2 month' = nearly 8 Years?
If you get cured as part of the vampire faction they stop being friendly to you too, so if you become a vampire lord from serana, then try the harmony spell then maybe they will start selling to you.
Nate you really are scraping the bottom of the barrel here
I totally thought with Katrina that you were gonna mention how she reacts if you take her clothes from her corpse
I’m proud to see Nate’s pronunciation is getting better with each video. Congrats Nate!
I'm not sure if you covered this but if you are a vampire while joining the dawnguard they won't notice until you are tested for being a vampire and there is some interesting dialogue😂
8:09 Nate respects pagans and that’s pretty neat
Hi Nate! Can you do a series for the Fallout New Vegas? That will be cool tho!
My biggest secret is my uncle Sigurd... Oh no, he's coming now
Can you make a list of which mods do you use for better graphics?
That’s weird because I sided with the vampires and I didn’t storm their castle
While you become Lord or Lady of Volkihar (and after), your [future] underlings will send you on small errands advancing the war effort against the Dawnguard while also painting them as paranoid zealots in the eyes of the people, until you finally storm their citadel and murder them to death.
Fiusha Ironfoot oh okay I gotchu thanks dude
Burn it! Burn the Vampire!
Bandit Thug I regretted going either the vampires once I realized how much good things the dawnguard have
I always thought the Dawnguard side was the most boring side I've ever participated in.
But the vampire side always had better quest and characters, memorable ones even.
Dawnguard's just... bland, forgettable, boring for me.
Can you soul trap someone in the soul carren? FBI: Stay right where you are
Lover's stone and the Ladystone. Quite interesting looking rock formations and fitting for their names.
