- Welcome to Ukulele School! This is the Ukulele Chord Tutorials for Beginners Video Series! In today's video, we are learning how to play E7 chord with the proper hand position.

In order to produce a E7 chord, we need to play notes E G# B and D on the ukulele. You will use fingers 1, 2, and 3 for this chord.
In the ukulele chord series, each video is dedicated to learning how to play one chord. In this case, the chord is E7, also known as E seventh chord.

Another great instructional video Bernadette. 7th chords have a great sound to them.
+Rocking Dan Teaching Man thank you! Seventh chords have a great sound and E7 in particular is a much easier alternative to E Major when it is possible to use it.
I pratice it but its make my finger damn painful when i hold it.. But i check the way i hold the string kinda correct tho..but thnxx you for the tutorial 😍😍❤❤
This helped me a lot! Ty!! Also, someone said that the E7 could substitute the EM chord, but it just doesn't sound right lol. Am i playing it wrong or something??
Hmmm I wouldn’t use it... the notes in the chord work in a different way, so definitely try and use the chords the song calls for first and then try to experiment with sounds you like!

Do you have instagram? Can you send me a video picking each string slowly as you hold E7. Make sure you get a clear shot of your hand as you do this so I can let you know what to fix.

Hi Bernadette, Was there a typo in your UTube video chord chart for the E7 chord? I think it should be a D and not D# as indicated.
I guess there's an error somewhere... In pictures showing sounds of ukulele is written that the 2nd fret on the 3rd strum is D, no D#. And I don't understand that, because according the principles of chord-building in chord E7 it should be so as you wrote - D#, no D.
I don't know why, but I can never seem to strum E7, I did the correct finger placement.But the sound comes out different, can you subsitute E7 with another note?
Edit: Nevermind, I got it!

Bernadette Teaches Music I actually tried it a few more times after I commented this, turns out I just had to press the 1st fret harder. It kinda hurts but I'm sure I'd get used to it, thanks for making this video though! This helped a bunch, I subbed.

Why when I put my finger on a string it doesn't make any noise…No sound comes out except the sound of a blocked string 🙁🙁🙁🙁
