    Great route. Did this back in 1992 and again last Tuesday.
    Didn't do the descent down Arten Gill but carried on round using the PBW which missed the road climb out of Deepdale under Denthead viaduct.

      kamucho prob one of my favourite natural descents. Steeper than it looks. Great fun to ride

    love watching through your videos at the min me and my grandad go up there whenever we can train spotting and now ive just got a new bike i can ride up there in the summer. Its awesome to see all the places i can recognize as well. Keep it up!

    Do that most years before 3 Peaks X race but other way round , start from Bainbridge then go down to Austwick from Ribblehead and back to Cam Road via Helwith Bridge on X bike , its a bloody monster !! Good like !

    Did this last Saturday! , it was hard work coming up to 53 and really unfit , pushing an e bike up those bloody steps on the way to Whernside nearly killed me.

    Big thanks for sharing the GPX files Andy, did this on Saturday, cracking ride and great battery test for the 540W, used quite a bit of boost for the climbs as my fitness needs improvement but got back on 1 bar, loving your rides and always grateful for your time and effort into putting this videos together 🙂

      @@TrailFinder Now my tyre pressures are sorted I am beginning to properly enjoy these more technical descents, yea the first one was great fun 🙂

      @@MrCarlpenny softer you can get them the better. I’ve just upgraded mine to 2.6 x 29 allowing me to run even lower pressures. (15F 18R) transformed the bike in all areas.

      @@TrailFinder Yea that's deffo something I will be playing with when I go tubeless, still on tubes atm but just buying gear slowly, pedals and saddle next month.

      ImAlexx it’s a great little ride. And yes I couldn’t believe it. I just didn’t notice the front 😂. But luckily it had sealed so only had to pump it up

    I feel your pain with the puncture, I got one coming out of hardcastle crag in hebden at the weekend. I’d come over the tops from Burnley to Hebden Bridge luckily the local bike shop sorted it for me I was to knackered to wip the wheel off & do it myself.

      badlydrawn1000 the next 3 rides after this one I got punchers. Had so much bad luck. But now I’m used to using those tyre plugs I don’t mess around anymore. I put one in and continue straight away

    looks an amazing route..! shame about the punctures...got a tubeless setup myself, but fortunately no punctures as such, but will need some more sealant come the spring when I'll be doing some long rides again..

      Not had a puncher since mid 2019 since switching to schwalbe. With Maxxis I had flats every ride

    This looked super fun, I am used to riding my motorbikes along the roads near here, mostly from Hawes or Ingleton.
    I wonder if there is a route back to Brough along here which is where I live.

    Two of the better Dales descents them. I lkke the one off Whernside into Deepdale. Got to look out for the loose stuff lower down though hey! You were tearing down Arten Gill pal, shape about the double flat. Looks like you had some finger damage too.

      Lakedistrictrider yeah the 2 descents on this ride are amazing. The second is my fav. Sliced my finger cutting the tyre plugs. Blood everywhere 😩

    Looks awesome! I’m looking to get out with a mate on Saturday, any routes you’d recommend for a couple of relatively novice bikers wanting to get out into the countryside? We’re based near Skipton so can travel to all the sort of areas you ride 👍 Thanks

      possibly the grassington ride I did. It’s a manageable distance. Climbs not to bad and some good descents. Also not far from skipton

      @@TrailFinder we opted for the Nidderdale Classic having seen your video and having done part of it before on my motorbike... We extended it slightly as we did the loop around Scarhouse too. It was tough but really enjoyed it and the weather was perfect! Thanks for your suggestion, I reckon we’ll try that one soon 👍

    How often do you get punctures Andy when you’re out on the trails? It’s not something you’re doing every ride is it...repairing holes in the tyre(s)
