Your clothes are cute and comfortable. I like that you focused only on jersey like fabrics. The jumpsuit is 🔥

Beautiful makes, V! I vote to leave the ruching where it is and also keep the drawstring the way it is now. 💗

I absolutely love your sewing makes. The knit dress with the ruching looks so pretty. I have that pattern, but I haven’t made the dress yet. Thanks for describing how the gathers and ruching is created. Thank you so much for linking my video and for even mentioning my twist top sewing make. You’re so right that the twist looked more complicated than it was. I love jumpsuits too. I love the fabric you used for yours. So cute.

Your tank-a-thon sounds like a lot of fun. I think the placement of your placket on your dress is perfect. I love the self fabric ties. Props to a truly invisible zipper.

Hey Stelly! Thanks for the feedback. I have been back and forth for over a month with this dress. I need closure 🤣🤣.

I am currently doing a tank-a-thon, but I gave my self 3 days to get as many as I can. I also like your makes and am heading over to I can sew to check her out.

Hey how did you tank-a-thon go? How many did you end up with? I plan to get mine done this week 😬.

Come through with the jumpsuit for our #unofficialcollaboration... lol! Thank you for the shoutout. It's funny how we were not only working on the same jumpsuit at the same time, but the order we sewed it up was funny. Also, I made a second one, but just did shorts instead of the whole romper. I'm always here to help and that zipper situation was completely off. I was so laughing at the "ah ha moment, with the zipper. We will not be running to Joann's for things that we can fix real quick with these gas prices. Just be sure to always measure twice is what I learned over the 12 years I've been sewing. Love the makes and can't wait to see what you sew this month. Yassssssssss keep it coming.

@@85thAndWade my pleasure anytime. I know I'm always in the background watching and supporting others. My watch list is growing but after that collection I said I'm taken Sunday off. I did just that and not even mad about it. I cleaned my sewing studio, the baseboards, etc. It's squeaky clean just for me to get ready for next week tomorrow.

That turquoise dress looks amazing on you! I wouldn’t move the ruching up to the original placement because that looks great to me! However, the I think the twill tape would be less bulky especially being in the front. Hopefully that won’t change the look of your modified placement. All of your pieces were beautifully made! Looking great in those “home decor” pants too!! Great video and thanks for sharing!

Put a small tac on that tulip split . It won’t open and you’ll still have the look.

I think I decided that the reason why I had a hard time with the butterick pants is because I sewed the wrong size. I think I am going to try it again in the correct size based on my hip measurements and grade out for the waist.
Also I like where the roushing ends currently.
For this month I only have two things I want to do currently, but that could change easily.
I am working on completing maccalls 8211, but I ran into trouble. I was trying to mix view c and view A, but the zipper installation is proving problematic.
I also want to try those pants (shorts) again and see if I can get the sizing correct.

Hi Rachel. Yes, be sure to use those finished garment sizes listed on the pattern pieces. I have had to donate quite a few things because I used the wrong size. We sew and we learn ☺️.

WOW That jumpsuit is incredible, and that print! Ok I am going to have to consider this pattern, I haven't seen this pattern yet, very well done, I love all of your experimentation. For the hoodie dress, I could be curious to see the ruching start where intended. I like the fabric pull string to keep the color the same, however, to stop the cotton on cotton pulling and rubbing, it could be nice to see it with a twill tape or string to see if it works better for you, but the channels you created may be wide for twill tape, so now I'm unsure to.... hmmm I just talked myself out of it. OK maybe try reducing the drawstring out of the fabric, that could be good!

Lol yes Fatmata all my thoughts too. I am going to keep the fabric strings and just reduce them slightly. Thanks for the feedback.

  • @quelinajordan

On the teal dress, I like where you placed the fancy add-on and the string made of the same fabric. I wonder what it would look like if the tie or bow was at the top though, and could you create other strings of different colors (white, yellow, or print) to switch it up a bit.

I love all of your makes. Really great job! I love your purple slacks. I plan to make that pattern. How do you think those slacks will look in a stretch twill? Are the legs too wide for a stretch woven meant for fitted pants? OMG 😱 that jumpsuit 😍😍😍😍 Where can I buy that fabric?

    • @rochelle.handmade.designs
      @rochelle.handmade.designs 2 года назад +2

The jumpsuit you can purchase the fabric from dose.of.fabric, houseofmamiwata, waxprintslacenmore, or afriqueclothingstore. Let me check to see the link again. I'll send it to you on IG

Hey Sheree, thank you! Rochelle is right, the fabric comes in a few color ways from a variety of vendors. My sister brought this back from Ghana last year. The pants S9376 does list stretch woven as a recommendation along with cotton blends and lightweight wools 🥳.
