Watch DW artist and working drummer, Curt “Kirkee B” Bisquera, play a dynamic groove powered by the all-new, all-Maple, and acoustic-electronic DWe drum kit from DW. dwdrums.com
Maybe it's just the way this video was edited, but when he switched to the DWe kit there appears to be a lot of false/unintended crash sounds triggered from the ride cymbal. After watching it a few times, I'm surprised how obviously bad this issue appears to be... I'm excited about this kit. I've been waiting for the release since the day it was announced. Now I'm going to wait to get my hands on one before spending the buckets of money they're sure to cost.
Who is this even for? Assuming the 'electric' function doesn't reduce the volume and it's the size of an acoustic kit. What on earth is the benefit to having this?
It's for somebody that is looking for an extremely high quality electronic kit that looks good. For somebody that wants literally the best ever made. It probably does lower volume. I'm not sure if it ships with mesh heads. But it'd be kinda dumb if it didnt.
Having the drums trigger samples is going to be a huge advantage at a live show. With a setup like this, you could have overhead mics on the kit (maybe kick and snare) and the triggers of acoustic drums. That's going to sound amazing to the audience. Remember, in the studio we may mic and and record everything on a kit and we are adding samples sometimes more than 75-90% of the original fine tuned mix.
@@JG-nx3jg Honestly i kinda agree listening to demos it sounds like a mid range electronic kit. not some crazy professional thing. This is gonna fail like the Pearl E Pro Live did.

Saw this on another video, this would give you a better idea of this prototype. ruclips.net/video/-GOWbibuwXM/видео.htmlsi=GAE8FICNbRTIacyJ&t=673

Its not going to sell many units, not because the product isnt good, but because the price point is outrageous
