So for "last week's pay" if we round up to $625 income and we divide it by 43 hours online time, we get $14.53/hour. If you deduct gas, cleaning expenses and other expenses, do you even reach retail worker pay, let's say 11 to $12/hour? That's horrible money. Let me rephrase that, that's no money. That's why I stopped driving as soon as I got a job. You get retail worker pay, if that, no health insurance, no paid vacation, you destroy your car. That's a horrible deal. Don't get me wrong, I respect you and anyone who drives. I just think it's a horrible deal. For your work, with all the expenses you have, if you need to save for car repairs, save for a vacation, save for retirement...drivers should earn at least $25/hour. Unbelievable. Again, if this works for you, great. But every time I do an average hourly pay, it's horrible. Income per trip is not the best indicator in my opinion. Income per hour is better. All the best and good luck!
Online doesn’t mean that you are actually driving or even sitting in the car. I’ve had online time recorded when I’m in bed, doing the dishes, or sitting on the toilet 🚽 😂 while looking for a ride that made mathematical sense. Example: Doing house work for 45 minutes and then accept a ride that takes 15 minutes and pays $25. On the surface it looks as if I got paid $25 an hour but it was really $25 for 15 minutes, not including fuel cost.
I bought a 2020 black suburban with black leather interior not knowing anything about uber or Lyft. Come to find out I can drive all premium. I live in metro Detroit so I signed up and just waiting on the background check and I’ll start xl, black, and lux. Im excited to get started. Side hustle for me.
This past Saturday night, I had 8 rides at a total of $190 in app, plus a $20 cash tip. The one trip that cashed in big time was a downtown Cleveland private client XL ride, it had a $45 surge attached to it. They tipped $36. I was driving both X and XL that night.

11:30 man stop crying about not getting a tip.
Man, stop crying about my crying. Real talk
so tips are optional but be decent to the drivers specially on those big travels that they bring you safe home on top it can be a bit frustrating i beleive that if you do a big travel and also people are so wealthy and they dont even give 1 dollar, so is not crying , think about your job and think how would you like to be appreciated and some one tells you! don't cry for more money just do your job and shut up and don't even ask forextra hours pay !
200 of that is gas for me
