My boiler stopped working today, low water pressure, and the heating engineer is away for a few days. I followed your video carefully and resolved it myself. Feeling very grateful to you and just a bit pleased with myself. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much, I saw the message and panicked because you can't get a plumber in our area for love nor money. Small donation left as a thank you. 😊
Helped me so much! I’m new to the UK, from South Africa and thus completely clueless with central heating. We got home and were very worried that our heating wasn’t working! This was very simple.
Thank you so much Mark you have just saved me a lot of time and money your tutorials are amazing, they are so in depth and so so easy to follow. I was able to reset my water pressure and how to change the wee air valve on my radiators as a few had snapped of and I couldn't bleed them. Again thanks a million x Colleen from Belfast
Thanks! I watched the first 5 mins which was enough for me to actually locate (with the aid of a mirror) the two blue taps, turn them and wait for the pressure to creep up to 1.5. Saves hours of waiting for the engineer to turn up and worry about no hot water! I'll have to watch further in due course as the idea of bleeding things is a complete mystery to me and I think I've done enough for one day! Once again thanks. BRILLIANT!
An extremely helpful video, with really clear instructions. I was able to fix the problem myself, and am feeling very (and undeservedly) clever 😂 Donation given, with thanks.
Thank you so much for this video! Turned on my heating half an hour ago and I got the low pressure message...panicked instantly cos it's freezing today and getting to below freezing tonight...but you video helped, I have the same boiler so it was perfect. Thank you!
What do I do when this isn’t adding pressure? Like I’ve followed this and even when I leave the pressure filling up for 30 secs it still isn’t moving the pressure gage?
Hi there - I have a Ideal combi boiler that I would usually repressurise after bleeding a radiator. However, today I have attempted to do exactly this, but was met with silence. The water did not fill the boiler to increase the pressure. The sound of water shooting was there for less than half a second, but then nothing. What could this be? How could I fix it? It's almost as if the water filled the filling loop then got stuck. Could the valve going into the boiler be stuck shut? Is this easy to fix myself?
I spoke with a heating engineer who was servicing the boiler and he hadn’t seen this before. He took a few parts off and couldn’t understand the problem, so called a colleague. The colleague said he’d seen it before, and that the ‘easy fix’ is to repressurise whilst the heating is on. He was correct. The water flowed through the filling loop and increased the pressure. You’ve just got to be careful to know how much you need to increase by before you put heating on, and then watch the pressure gauge very carefully when pressurising as it’ll already be higher due to heating being on. Hope that makes sense.
Hi, Thank you for your video. I’ve got a same combi boiler. Hot water is working But my heating is not working. Would you please help me what Can I do ?
Trying to find a video to show how to top of the water pressure in the following Ideal Boiler - ideal boiler s24IE - the pipe system underneath is different than the one in your vid, there is no loop pipes.
Hi guys, I am having an issue with my boiler. I have followed your very helpful video, but this time around, after moving the blue taps, the gauge did not move. Is there any other way I can try and put the pressure up? Thank you so much - ideal Logic + boiler
Hi there. I turned off my Combi C 24 over Christmas and came back to a boiler with no pressure. Is it essential to bleed the radiators or can I get by with just adjusting the water pressure?
Hey Mark. Ideal Logic 35. Not firing up on the timer. Cold pressure is 1.5 bar. As soon as I open the loop valves the boiler fires up. Is there a sensor that could be faulty? It seems that it needs a nudge to wake it up. Thanks
I have a logic combo boiler c24 and it’s on an L2 fault, I had no gas but it’s now been delivered but it’s still not working, I reset it and checked the pipe isn’t frozen but I don’t know what else to do! Help! Please!
My boiler has only got 3taps underneaf the boiler . It has a black tap on the right hand side and a yellow tap in the middle and a black or blue colour tap on the left hand side. Plz could u help me cuz my boiler has the f1 sign showing on my boiler. Plz any help would be much apprieated plz ?
Hmm... so I got the same message with a pressure of 1.4bar. Still bled radiators to drop to 1.0, then topped back up to 1.4. Same error message. Fault only shows when hot water is involved, no fault if using heating only.
Hi Mark i’ve repressured water but now have no water coming from hot taps 😳Can you help me I don’t understand the valves underneath the boiler and think i’ve switched the wrong one as they like slightly different positions than normal. your help would be so appreciated 🤗
My ideal C 30 boiler is saying that the room stat and timer is off. The timer has fresh batteries and no change. Does anyone have any ideas because the boiler is not firing without it
Same as me ive been told it could be a complex problem and it seems like i cant get a plumber to my house and this all started straight after my boiler was servisd a couple of weeks ago mine is only about six years old, on the blink all the time.
Done all this and didn't work, pressure is fine but every so often keeps giving a false message about bleeding radiator's and no air is in them. Water keeps going cold with false message pressure at one and a half.
Hi can you help my father has the same boiler as you.the pressure is at 1 bar or 1/12 bar when is use. But when no radiators or hot water is being used it drops to near zero. Is this right

Thank you so much for the very helpful video. Found the taps, refilled the boiler, and heat happened. Perfect.

What do I do when this isn’t adding pressure? Like I’ve followed this and even when I leave the pressure filling up for 30 secs it still isn’t moving the pressure gage?
Thank you! Sorted.
Thank you so much 🙂
Thank you mate 👌👏🏼

Hi mate the blue left switch will only move about a third so I can’t do anything to fix the F1 fault

Hmm... so I got the same message with a pressure of 1.4bar. Still bled radiators to drop to 1.0, then topped back up to 1.4. Same error message. Fault only shows when hot water is involved, no fault if using heating only.

quick how you forget to turn both to fill! thank you
What if you have to much pressure
I have moved both the blue levers but absolutely nothing happens.its an Ideal c24 and has F1 showing- no hot water
opened both blue taps but no water going through , cant even hear the water , help
My ideal C 30 boiler is saying that the room stat and timer is off. The timer has fresh batteries and no change. Does anyone have any ideas because the boiler is not firing without it
I have this error but it still says that the pressure is 1.75 on the pressure gauge! Don’t have a clue what to do
Same as me ive been told it could be a complex problem and it seems like i cant get a plumber to my house and this all started straight after my boiler was servisd a couple of weeks ago mine is only about six years old, on the blink all the time.

Had this boiler installed today and it's crap. The hot water lasts for about 15 seconds and then goes cold... its even set to 65 the max it'll go....
