Great video Shawn. What a great way to simplify parametric acceleration. The extension of the lead leg thru impact turbo charges club head speed. Lee Trevino is not a fan of it which is why he appeared to chase the club down the fairway forever. He wasn't as long as most but he was surely accurate with that low held off fade. Thanks Shawn
Another great instructional video Shawn and Team. Hinge/Unhinge has provided me with not only greater distance but I'm sticking my irons in a radius that I've never been able to achieve before. It just gives me a more consistent feel of doing it this way. BTW - I've really improved my game the past two months watching and learning from you. The over the top swing was killing me and I'm gradually getting it fixed - no more 30 yards to the right slices. Now just gotta start NUTTING the driver. At 53, I'd be happy to carry 240 :)
Yeah man! I am here for you bro, let’s do it! Definitely sounds like it is just a matter of time with some work with a solid launch monitor like the GC Quad. 💪🤘👌👍😀
Observation from my “deployment of the knife” in my round of golf today. Here’s the setup: bogeyed the par 5 17th hole. Tee on 18th hole, 135 yard par 3 across a lake, flight plane… preshot rehearsal, I was the only one in my foursome to hold my shot on the green. Guys in my foursome chuckled and commented “we thought you were going to throw your club in the lake!” I just pointed at the green and smiled. 👍🏻
You want both legs to straighten in the backswing; I have been teaching this for over 14 years now and the rest of the industry has only started since 2020. Watch Bryson come right up in the backswing now the same way Kenny Perry did when he played the tour and almost won the Masters and PGA with his awesome swing!
One of your colleagues purports long-ball hitting (300 yds) by using the capitate joint. Are you doing that while throwing the club into the direction you want the ball to start on?
I know who you are talking about and “that joint” is like saying that your toes lead your heels when kicking a ball… IN THE WAY WE TEACH THE GRIP, the hands are at maximum leverage to compress through the ball and the “capitate joint” is right where he advocates. I would have never thought of marketing the grip in this manner but hats off! This Jackknife drill is a great acid test to the grip!
@@golflessons Indeed. That's what I was thinking while watching your "jack knife" demonstration. If he told folks they could hit the ball consistently 300+ yds. by swinging with the right grip, no one would buy the pitch. It's cheesy, and dumb marketing - that's why you wouldn't use it!
Love your videos, but not sure I’d use Niemann as a model swing to demonstrate your concepts. That amount of sidebend coupled with rotation is a recipe for back problems (particularly with the discs). Another famous instructor who is a big proponent of extreme sidebemd through impact has numerous pros wh have collectively had numerous surgeries, including a young long-ball hitter who is way too young to be having such surgeries!
Yes, I agree! IT IS THE VISUAL that is great and shows the ultimate “collect the ball from where it lies” and “release the ball into the flight plan” and I don’t think any other human could get into those deep positions…😝😝
If I was a narcissist, I would think you did this just to help me. This is a great visual to help me with early extension. Thanks so much for your service.
I notice that your club face is not square during back swing. Some other coaches suggest that we need to maintain a club face from beginning to back swing. I myself feels that a loose grip can add more distance but the accuracy will be lesser
Hi John! Human anatomy has a reset button and adapts through time to what you want it to do. If the grip and club face is set properly to begin (closed enough or strong enough) then you are free to stay on a steadfast task that WILL BRING ALL THE BODY PARTS TOGETHER LIKE A SYMPHONY. To supervise and micromanage body parts and angles during the swing with a conscious mind that works at 40 bits per second is a waste of time. let the 40 Million bits per second “self preservation” machine do it’s thing and do it’s learning; you just need to plug in the best task for you. as an example, see “grass whip training shawn clement” and “hammer through shawn clement” as examples and then get with our premium channel at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com to see these videos: “task trumps everything”, “top 3 tasks”, “throwing the club”. “the throwing series”, “kinetic chain series” and “kinetic chain facilitation series”
It is the focus, the feel and the reality! Accelerometers will tell you things slow down at impact, but that is because the grass and ground provide the resistance for that; if you were swinging through whiffle balls, the speed would barely change!
There is 30 yards difference between AT THE BALL and THROUGH THE BALL. Starts with a solid and strong grip, then you must learn to deliver THROUGH THE BALL AND TOWARDS A TARGET. See all my “throwing the club shawn clement” videos to get that going and then you will need a bit more help with the release of the swing to make sure you are not manipulating of forcing the swing which inhibits power big time. See “fencing for power shawn clement” and then you can get with our premium channel at just $9.95 per month and see all the “release” videos (use the search box on the site at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com) and then “the throwing series” and then the all important “goldie locks series” to predict how the ball will be solidly in the way of your new THROUGH WARD ACTION!
Excellent explanation Shawn , very accurate and clear as usual, thanks.
Thank you Jose Manuel! 😀👍
Great video as always Shawn going to start practicing this immediately
Let’s go! 😀👍
Absolutely great instruction . Using the body to take over the speed.
Yeah Man! 😀👍

Right on Mike! Great example of leg use!
Hi Shawn. Thanks so much for the swing analysis yesterday. I’ve already started to make the changes.
Right on Erik!

Shawn. Love your approach. If one heaves in the backswing. How do you ensure your getting all the rotation you need ?
Thank you
Great video Shawn! This is something I’ve been struggling with and I can’t wait to take these drills to the practice range.
Let me know how you do!
Great video again

Thought you might enjoy this
Great video Shawn, what do you think of players who straighten there right leg in the back swing for a right handed golfer
You want both legs to straighten in the backswing; I have been teaching this for over 14 years now and the rest of the industry has only started since 2020. Watch Bryson come right up in the backswing now the same way Kenny Perry did when he played the tour and almost won the Masters and PGA with his awesome swing!
Shawn , The grip like your holding a knife . Right Thumb no pressure on the shaft ? Wrapped index finger , should you have a firm feel of the wrap.
Yes! 👌👍

You're welcome!

Shawn did y’all get a 2nd setup? I thought y’all only did the one.
You talking about our indoor set up? we upgraded!!👍🤘👌💪😀😎
@@golflessons yes I saw when you got the one installed about a month ago. Was there a 2nd installed more recently.

Have you ever thought about collaborating with Ian and Matt from TXG! You guys are my golf bible
Hi Glenn! look at his first video he ever posted! It was Matt and I who got them started and Matt got the gig with them! 👍😀
Is peak speed really out there Shawn or is that just the feeling you need ?

I don't understand how you can generate so much power with a 6 iron? I barely squeeze 160ish on a good day.
