amazing dan and thanx , you have really helped my guitar playing. bass player for 42 years....guitar for 9........ started the bloody journety in 1982. dig it
Just found you on You Tube. I'm inspired to try some of you licks and hopefully get them down under my fingers. I've been learning some Gary Moore and this seems to be the way to go to ease the way so to speak. Cheers!
Thank your for this lesson- great as always!! 👍Maybe you will be interested and find the time for a lesson on Tony Iommis speed tricks and typical licks?!Would be really great.
Hello, Dan! Can you please make some transcriptions of some of the liks that gary is doing on the song Stormy Monday (Montreux 2001), pleasE? I can do the basic licks but the fast ones, hell no :)) Cheers, mate!
Hi Dan, another great video. One technique that I am finding hard to master is raking, I understand the concept but I am unable to creat that crunchy noise/texture in between phrases. I am sure this is something you have studied particularly in the style of Gary Moore? I would love you to explain this technique further.
thanks for the comment :) When you talk about raking, are you talking about when you play a series of dead (muted) notes on the strings preceding the note you actually want to play? Usually I do this before bends to add a bit of power to the sound. Unless you're talking about something else entirely.
@@DanCampbellGuitar Yes I think that is exactly it, it never sounds right when I do it. To my ears it sounds different to a normal muted rake. Hope I am making sense. I see Chris Buck do it all the time and I just think it adds so much to his solos.
