My `99 with 390,000. miles on the clock still has the factory 16"s. I've been on the fence about what to do on my soon to be next set of tires. After seeing this I'm definitely going staggered with some 17" 275s up from and 17" 315s in the rear. Just want to make sure to get the offset right! Thanks for the video!

Can you please tell me what you have for shocks struts and springs? I’ve got the same wheels and car and having a tough time finding what’s perfect for a drop…same exact offsets as you have. I’ve watched more than a few of ur videos in the last few days and I just can’t find it…is it Strano springs with koni front struts and rear shocks? Assuming there only one set of springs he sells? So your running 295/30/18 front/315/30/18 rear. You said the fronts are 18x10 front but never said the rear I am assuming 18x11 rear??. What is your offset on front and rear?. 9:08 I noticed how close the wheel and tire is to the back part of the fender, how many inches is that gap? Because i kinda have some regular street tires on my F-body that the dealership threw on, (which are 235 width, 60 aspec ration and 16in rim) and I have about an inch of room and I'm not sure if I should consider getting 17 or 18 inch rims. Because I want to try to get decent fitment without having to realign too many things if possible (Also sorry if I speak weirdly or unclearly, I'm all new to wheel fitment and all)

Trans Am's/Z28's are pretty affordable man. You can even finance them if need be! Could be in one for a couple hundred bucks a month of you wanted to and can swing it.

I think it would look good. You are only talking about a difference of a 1/2 inch on each side of the wheel. It would be noticeable up close but not from afar. If you are wanting to be able to rotate you tires that's what you'll have to do anyways.
Nope. So far there's nothing like them "cheaper". There's a pretty good wheel company out there called "Cosmis Racing" that makes some good looking stuff that fits these cars.

It's a tough call man, hate to tell you ha. They will both look good at the end of the day. You should ask yourself if you want more function, or form. Choose your size accordingly.

Well I won’t be getting the welds I was negotiating on a pewter 02 wS6 with 5800 miles and came across a 07 victory red c6 z06 with 1800 miles and I jumped on it 👍🏻

I've seen that video probably 100 times lol. Legendary fbody stuff there, it's great. 500hp would be a good number to hit in an fbody.

It has a Summit Racing lowering spring kit. Think its 1" to 1.25".

I wouldn't think so. You may have to clear your bump stops and the offset is important. Lots of info on ls1tech regarding fitment.

Do you think 295s on 18x10s would fit the rear without clearance issues? I want a square setup wider than 275s and hopefully with 18" wheels.
I’ve ran 18x10 square with 295s. Front rubs slightly at full lock. Rears fit fine I rolled the back to be safe.

Not too sure to be honest. If the spring rates and drop is similar I'd presume not.

I wouldn't be sure either way. Still have the stock brakes on my car. There's a bit of room, but I'd hate to guess either way!

What are the tire sizes for front and back?
295 40 18 wide fronts & 315 35 18 rears if I recall. It's in the video.
how many inches is the car lowered?
It has summit racing lowering springs. They are something like 1.5" and were on the car when I purchased it, so I can't say for sure.
