Only Scott Thompson has just enough grace and poise to tastefully portray her Majesty. I'll bet she would have been amused. Thank you Scott for your loving light. RIP 👑
@@lonelysith66 you know you can leave, right. I'm very pro replacing every america hating american with someone who wants to be here. Would you be willing to swap lives with a Nigerian or perhaps a Kenyan woman. Maybe youd be willing to switch with a gay middle easterner.
It was my legit reaction to it as well lol. That was a savage roast. One of the worst things you can call a Canadian like myself, is calling us Americans.
What is totally amazing about Scott is just HOW much he actually looks like a young Elizabeth, both visually and in mannerisms! Sure do miss KITH!! And is ya read this Scott - that to go beating that "tummy problem"! Laughter is the best medicine, eh lymphoma?
One of the many times Kids in the Hall was psychic. I imagined the Queen having this reaction when she heard that Harry announced he was leaving the Firm.
I'm a British Canadian and I love this :) My fellow English who are offended THEY KNOW WE DON'T TALK LIKE THAT OR ACT LIKE THAT! My fellow Canadians who were offended LEARN TO LAUGH AT YOURSELVES!
Great video clip, it is sad these great men of Canadian TV are no longer on this show... It is even much more sad they would come down here to the States and of course got more money but that goes to show money does not make something better. Thank god for the U.K. and Canada, to still keep up the high standers of TV. We U.S.A. people are so hungry for good TV, we have to watch stuff from up North or the BBC.
If I were Scott Thompson, I would have gone to London on the day Prince William got married dressed in full Queen Elizabeth get up.. It would have been a freaking RIOT and a boost for his career too to have pull this stunt. walking down the streets, greeting the people maybe giving a couple of short interviews to the press in character..
@LordWellington15 she the queen of United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis...AKA Commonwealth realms
Thanks megapolon. That's decent of you and I accept your apology. My reaction was a bit over the top too, so I apologise for that. I've visited the US many times and I love it there but I'm proud of my own country too, There are a lot of people out there who don't like Americans or Brits and we should stick together as friends. I have a great respect for Canada too. I just think it's sad that the English speaking community and the French speakers just can't seem to get it together.
@megapolon 1. Canada might have done that if the English-Canadians weren't fighting with the French-Canadians. 2. Canada had a much smaller population than America. 3. The War of 1812, which would have pretty much killed chances of Canadians wanting to emancipate like the Americans at that time. 4. The fur industry would have likely been compromised as well. It should also be said that the British Loyalists who fled the U.S. during the revolution fled to Canada.
lol that's hillarious! KITH is fucking awesome. Damn the comedy network for not airing it anymore! And Canada will never abandon the monarchy. We're Britain's favourite commonwealth country! WHOO!
Scott makes a better Queen than Liz does! All you Brits should vote him in. He'd certainly cost you less to maintain. And once he dies you'll be done with the Monarchy once and for all.
@flyby7a I've had this same conversation with other Brits before, and it's always funny. We consider America to be two continents: North and South. While we are certainly loyal to the Crown and Commonwealth, we really prefer not to be called Americans, just as I'm sure you prefer not to be called Europeans, the 49th parallel (albeit the border curves down in some places in S. Ontario and for Vancouver Island) separates us from the citizenship "American".
If I were Scott Thompson, I would have gone to London on the day of Prince William's wedding in full Queen Elizabeth get up and parade it up and down the main avenue where the event was held..
By the way, here's a geography lesson. The 'British Isles' comprise the 2 largest islands of Great Britain and Ireland and a lot of small ones. The countries of England Scotland and Wales are on the biggest island of Great Britain and form the 'United Kingdom'. The island of Ireland is divided of course. Southern Ireland is an independant nation and the North is part of 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland' shortened to the UK. Wish you 'experts' would get it right.
Because megapolon, Canadians were British, they saw themselves as British Subjects, and proudly so - the Monarchy was and is a symbol of Canada's heritage and history and moreover, Great Britain, did not object to Canadians running their own affairs - Canadians didn't really have to "demand" it.
CANADA! Play with your brothers Scotland, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Netherlands NICELY!!! And France is your Mama, England is Papa, ask your cousin... USA
Because there was no point for them! You think the driving factor behind the American war of independence was the yearning to be "free"? It was about money, pure and simple. Canada's situation was quite different, they depended on the UK for a lot.
Terrifying how much Scott looks like Queen Liz circa 1975...
Terrifying how much the queen looked like a guy in drag...
Only Scott Thompson has just enough grace and poise to tastefully portray her Majesty. I'll bet she would have been amused. Thank you Scott for your loving light.
RIP 👑
RIP. I always thought Scott's impression was as much love as satire.
Imitation is the highest form of admiration... or so the saying goes.
Scott Thompson always deliver doing the Queen Elizabeth....so much talent on that guy 👍😆
God save THIS queen! Scott was always my favorite Kid.
Forget about Charles. Just let Scott take over the Monarchy.
Was looking for this comment.😄
"Without me and the French you are just Americans"
I love the audience's reaction to that joke
Canada, y’all don’t want to be Americans and I’m American.
😒

You're right about that! 🤣🤣🤣

One of my fave sketches. I quote it when crossing the bridge to Canada and have done the same in sight of Parliament.
This sketch was the first thing I thought of when I read the news that Barbados is becoming an independent republic. Congratulations to them!

As an American I love the jokes at our expense in this sketch got a good laugh out of me.
They're all so wonderful and talented in their own right but Scott Thompson was always my favorite

Well, two of them went south over divorce-related issues. They can't go back without facing legal consequences.
As a Brit, I approve wholeheartedly of this sketch.
Love KITH and this sketch! I have gleaned many subtle nuances of comedy from their brilliant performances.
My favorite Kids in the Hall sketch...ever! Scott Thompson's Queen Elizabeth is awesome!
Like a cross between Liz Mountbatten-Windsor and Hyacinth Boquet from Keeping Up Appearances. And Edward's the biggest queen of 'em all.

LOL Love this skit :)
Scott doing the Queen made it almost look like British Madea.
watching this after the queen just passed 😔🤙🏼
This is my favorite sketch from the whole series! Lol!!
Scott's laugh at 3:17 is miraculous.
yes my fav part as well
That laugh and Graham Chapman's "I DON"T LIKE SPAM!!" put me on the floor every time.
Rest in Peace, Sovereign.
Scott Thompson’s Queen Elizabeth is by far my favorite impression. Rest In Peace, Your Majesty.
The best of the best of Kids in the Hall
:D

Oh, Mumsy!
R.I.P.
Love the Hudson Bay point blanket!
Mark as Prince Edward is hilarious.
Edward is a pretty cool guy. Should have been playing creepy Andrew.

Or the poor guy may have been arrested.
Yeah, would have been a crack up, but he would have been lucky if it lasted more than one minute.
I love the skit where scott plays the queen visiting someone in there home and starts ripping huge farts, very very funny.
If you want an actor to play a great queen you hire a great queen.
When the queen passed. I kinda wish they would have hired Scott Thompson to dress up and be the queen for a while longer.
The hudsons bay blanket in the background tho
What about it?
I have thought about this skit ever since I first saw it air. III Looooooove Yooouuu!!!
When I heard it was QE2's day to pass Victoria, I thought, "It's a good time for a little Scott Thompson."
One of my favorites.
2:53, that laugh made me totally lose it.
RIP, Queen Elizabeth. Now Canada can really abandon the monarchy.
After Brexit, they've given Canada many reasons to abandon the monarchy.
RIP Queen 👑
I thought I was watching The Crown!

The funny thing is that Scott Thompson didn’t want to do this sketch- he thought he looked nothing like the queen😂
@paulzrulz As a Canadian you should realise this is a Canadian TV show
Yes!
@jonowaller= As an American, I find that funny. We love Canada for it's resources, your cheap medicine, your beautiful women, and rock stars.
