The two captive screws are not tightening for me. I've made sure the keyboard is aligned properly and pulled towards the palmrest.

Nice video, straight to the point! My question, is this applicable also to E-480 series?

I don't have the E480, but I wouldn't be surprised if the procedure was similar.

I got a problem with the middle click. It's sometimes pressed without me pressing it. If i remove the smaller flexible cable, will it also disable the left and right click? 😢 Please reply.

Hi, I've been planning to replace the keyboard of my secondhand T480, but I am seeing some mixed reviews in the keyboards that I have found. Some say the left click doesn't work and it's fake and etc. Where do you think I should order to get an authentic keyboard, do you think it's worth to get one, since it's more expensive. Lastly, where did you order yours? Thanks.

I replaced my keyboard because the buttons weren't working anymore. Some keys aren't working with the replaced new one now.

Hello, greetings from México! I'm thinking of buying a renewed T480 from Amazon, however, it only comes with an english keyboard, would it be possible to swap it to a spanish one or are the cables different and thus, not possible? Awesome video btw.

Hi! I swapped my keyboard for exactly same model. Somehow I managed to break tab from trackpoint cable... and obviously trackpoint and mouse buttons are not working even if i stick the cable ang glue it. Is there any way to fix this? Also, the backlit isnt working either.

Any tips for removing a stuck keyboard? I spilled beer on it and im trying to clean it but its glued in there now. Ive replaced it once before and didnt have this problem

If you've spilled beer you've likely caused water damage to the motherboard underneath - time for a new laptop

@@ScorpionComputersHettonleHole yea it got fried, weird I took it all apart and there was no visible damage to the board, some component got fried. It's a Lenovo with drain holes someone once said you could spill lava on those
I'll admit I didn't know about the drain holes and tipped the stupid thing upside down, woulda been fine otherwise I think from what I read

FYI there is a setting you have to check in the device manager, and might need to rescan drivers. I replaced my broken light up with a different one and well it worked but the lights didn't come on for a few months till I played with the repair settings in startup.
