The cherry blossom tattoo for the guy who spent time in prison I actually like. I've spent time in prison, also in solitary confinement, and I can definitely understand that tattoo idea.
It is an actual tattoo ritual. The guys who do it call it baptism by pain. They do two guys at a time on one canvas. All black and misformed lines. Your a bad ass if you can sit through even 30 mins.
@@ChrisPBacon-1313 Vice did a video on this project. The tatoos are so big that it often take several sessions. The clients bleed a lot and sometimes vomit. The tatoo artists insult them during the session. It seems like a weird sadistic fetish. One of the tatoo artist said he wanted people to feel broken. Even if people give their consent, it makes me uncomfortable.
@agasalhador de croquete I wouldn't do that either but let's not pretend fecal matter is not dirtier than the mouth. If you get a cut in your mouth eating some damn tortilla chips too fast or something (lol) and saliva and mouth germs get in it, you will be ok. But if you get cuts/abrasions in your anus and poop gets in it, you can get MRSA (I work with kids and have seen a bad diaper rash land kids in the hospital on IV's).
Okay but some of these tattoos sound so cool tho. I loved the idea the man who spent 7 years in jail came up with, and the woman’s idea with her 3 pets dancing on that island is so damn cute, and tbh the aladin tattoo, although weird as fuck, seemed really fun to me
I dunno... some of these really don't sound bad... you would think that creative types would be less judgemental. At least the clients put thought into what they wanted, who cares how out there their ideas are? In my opinion, it's better than someone coming in with no idea what they want or picking flash art and getting it for no reason.
Some of the people said it was a bad idea for them because it is not their art style. Maybe ask the tattoo artist what their art style is. That is what some of them meant.
Sometimes people ask for a lot of different things without considering the tattoo artist's style/specialty and whether all those elements would work together. Like for the cherry blossom tattoo, how are you gonna make a black cherry blossom work? They're little white/pink flowers, and having them dripping water is just a lot. You might say "it's the artist's job to figure it out" but sometimes the artist feels like they're being given a list of contradicting design elements and it's going to be hard to make it look good - but when clients are super specific right out of the gate like listing their pet's personalities.... you know they're not going to be happy if you suggest changes. That's my take on the video
@@nunyabusiness164 That makes sense. It probably does get annoying talking people out of concepts that just wouldn't be executed well or to their liking. I just think that the clients probably don't know why their tattoo ideas are bad.
Listening to Ryan Ashley’s story about the woman who wanted the modified Lion King pose tattoo got me thinking; that woman *genuinely thought* that idea was brilliant… … how many of my tattoos came from ideas I thought were brilliant, but secretly pissed off my artist?!
I had someone wanting a zodiac sign (solid red) with clouds on the back ( black n grey realism), some musical notes (in 2D) and a cross (in color). Made no sense to me. I think the weirdest tattoo I've ever been asked to do was being asked to tattoo this family tree kinda thing but the guy wanted the bodies of everyone him and his dad killed hanging off the branches and the branches were not branches they were the people they killed names but in the shape of the family tree ... i had to pass

I want a tattoo of Stephen hawking and Albert Einstein fighting in a celebrity death match scene with Albert Einstein dropping an atomic elbow while Stephen hawking is hanging his mouth open in his wheelchair.
Dude, I want that tat now. Sounds dope af.
Did you get it?
Discombobulate
"Do it!" - Shia Labeouf
I have a shirt of Albert and Stephen in a rap battle made by the guy who played Einstein in ERB
The cherry blossom tattoo for the guy who spent time in prison I actually like. I've spent time in prison, also in solitary confinement, and I can definitely understand that tattoo idea.
Tattoo artist: so what do you want?
Michela: black
It is an actual tattoo ritual. The guys who do it call it baptism by pain. They do two guys at a time on one canvas. All black and misformed lines. Your a bad ass if you can sit through even 30 mins.
Hmm, I didn't know that. Pretty cool
Look up Brutal Black Project. That's what she did. Insanity.
@@shenreice thank you!!! Couldn't think of actual name.
Butthole tats?? Wtf is wrong with people?
dude imagine healing a butthole tattoo... yikes
No sense or common decency. Everyone has a different normal but not to be ableist but psychosis is rampant
DIGIMON! DIGITAL MONSTERS! DIGIMON ARE THE CHAMPI- “this guy wanted diggie mons”
Yup she pronounced it wrong lol
She pronounced it so wrong I cringes internally and tried to not let it be too distracting because I like her otherwise.
She has a Finnish accent. It’s not her first language.
Dicky moms is all i can hear
DIGIMON DIGIMON DIGITAL MONSTERS
I died when I figured out she meant Digimon (actually pronounced Digi as on digital) hahaha diggy mon
Joshua Barnett She pronounced it with a Finnish accent. It’s not her first language. Cut her some slack.
*Since we are talking about bad ideas, can we all agree that Lalo’s dreads aint really the wave considering the hairline?* 😂
I need to meet the person that got a tattoo of Jafar and Aladdin kissing with Jasmin in the back crying.
“A ship in a bottle, but it’s a pirate ship, with a duck standing on the deck smoking a joint” that’s pretty dope actually
seems like something that would look really great and funny in ignorant style, maybe a traditional artist with a sense of humor
"I don't think it's a bad idea, I think there is a lack of effort to make it be a good idea" lol I'm dying with this
That Hakuna Matata tattoo actually sounds pretty cool!
11:21 Mark Wade is probably the least tattooed tattoo artist I've ever seen
The way she said "Digimon" had me trippin 😂
Nick Markopoulos lmaoo
When you hear someone say “I was young I needed the money!” You don’t usually associate that with being a tattoo artist. Lol
everyone gotta start somewhere
Wdym, tattoo artists need money like everyone else???
Listening to Ryan Ashley’s story about the woman who wanted the modified Lion King pose tattoo got me thinking; that woman *genuinely thought* that idea was brilliant…
… how many of my tattoos came from ideas I thought were brilliant, but secretly pissed off my artist?!
I had someone wanting a zodiac sign (solid red) with clouds on the back ( black n grey realism), some musical notes (in 2D) and a cross (in color).
Made no sense to me. I was able to talk him into something more simple that actually flowed together rather then look like a bunch of tattoos smoothered.
OMG I was actually on the phone with my mum when a guy with the “I HATE MY MOM” tattoo on his forehead got on the train and sat across from me! I said “I’LL CALL YOU BACK!” and just hung up. No one ever me believes that someone actually has that tattoo. Finally proof!
My buddy BJ Storms did that tattoo.
Ya I’m his dad. My wife isn’t happy at all.
Can confirm. I was the train
These videos are so entertaining! Arlo is one handsome guy and hilarious too, seems like a fun person to be around.
The dislikes are from the people who actually got these tattoos
I think the weirdest tattoo I've ever been asked to do was being asked to tattoo this family tree kinda thing but the guy wanted the bodies of everyone him and his dad killed hanging off the branches and the branches were not branches they were the people they killed names but in the shape of the family tree ... i had to pass
Prison
what the actual fuck. that sounds Horrifying. Gut wrenching and blood chilling
😂 I’m a graphic design student/aspiring tattoo artist and I swear that Hakuna Matata idea is fire! And so doable! Just have to find an artist with your vision!
Guys the lion king tattoo was the worse for her because she doesn’t do that kind of style...just because you like the tattoo artist doesn’t mean they can do any styles xD
sounds more like she's making fun of the person who had the idea. She didn't state that it wasn't a bad concept, it's just not the work that I do.
Also the title of the vid is 'Worst Tattoo Ideas'.
@@LA-mz1dd I think her problem was not the idea, but the fact that they expected *her* to design the pets as Disney characters. In general, if someone's not a professional Disney-style artist, that's a ridiculous request. She's a tattoo artist, not a Disney character designer.
@@psixi2668 exactly... disney pays teams of people to design their characters. there are professional artists who specialize in that style. her specialty is grayscale LOL
okay so some of these artists are definitely in the “morally questionable” category lol
Those are the ones I want to tat me 😂😂😂
The fact that How Far Is Tattoo Far exists shows that it’s time for MTV to go out to pasture
1:38 watching episodes of shows like that one, I'm seriously shocked with some of the things the artists actually do.
I watched an episode of Just Tattoo of Us and these guys were supposedly best friends and one of them had the artist tattoo names of various STI's around the guys crotch.
That last dude is a legend tho, I aspire to that level of not giving a shit
The "how far is tattoo far" artists are terrible artists.
Mary Emilio wym
They’re actually pretty good but they’re expecting to do a complete tattoo in a short time
Chei_Chei 13 i think she means they are terrible for doing the tattoos in the first place
I've seen their tattoo portfolios, they are good but definitely not on that show because of the amount of time on that show to tattoo.
I'm quite sure the Digimon one makes sense and could make an awesome tattoo.
Also the pirate ship inside the bottle with the duck smoking a joint... I'm getting that one myself lol
That tattoo idea of the ship in a bottle with the dog standing on the front of the ship smoking a joint actually had me LOL
And calming crazy, but the Disney style hakuna matata 3 pet line on the log tattoo actually sounds kind of adorable.
I totally got mentally insecure though when Ryan said that it was a super long paragraph, because I also wrote a super long paragraph when talking about my design that I want for my next tattoo in December. I suddenly feel really bad for my tattoo artist xD
Sara Fabel pronounce Digimon as Diggymon is cutest thing I've heard here.
I got a whole bunch of bad tattoo ideas!
Like intentionally getting a Chinese symbol that says something like vd, y'know like gonorrhea or something.
The cats one was awesome
“Digimon” ahhh I love Sara’s accent 🙌🏼😍
“Dickimon”
Victorian etching digimon would have been cool
Spiffy Salamence lmfao
I can’t get over how cool all these tattoos artists are. They all look like badass which they probably are.
Big OG SLEEPS! That's what's up! We need more!
Sure there is bad ideas, but a lot of them can be turned into something pretty neat if you do it right, style, placement, theme etc. And of course the professional work has to be there, every "garage" tattoo is a bad idea.
I almost cried when I got my ankle tattooed I cannot even imagine how much a BUTTHOLE tattoo would hurt
The way Sara says "Digimon" is music.
the hakuna matata us AMAZING. omg
Some tattoo artist agreed to tattoo a massive swastika on each of my uncle's legs and another agreed to tattoo on mid-shin socks to cover them. Life is fucking crazy
The ship in the bottle tat idea sounds badass 😂
Just gonna say it. A lot of the people talking about their worst tattoo ideas, are living examples of worst tattoo ideas.
Pls do a reaction to wwe superstar tatts
Good idea
I'm a straight woman who's married to a beautiful man but I have a crush on sara fabel
What's wrong with a Duck on a pirate's ship?
>: (
Too little space on the arm. Would've been impossible to tattoo.
Arvin it’s dumb
That Lion King one sounds bomb though.
7:56 the way she miss pronounced Digimon was so cute 😩😂💞
"OH THE FIRSS IDEA I GET THIS QUESTIOON ALLLL THEEE TIMEEE" * says sarcastically while rolling eyes *
*Well I'm so sorry to inconvenience you sir...geez*
A pirate ship inside a bottle with a duck on the ship, smoking a joint. That's the funniest damn thing I've heard in a while
counterclockwise: “I hate mommy”
3:45 dude has to be talking about Charlie Zelenoff I swear
exactly what I was thinking ahahahaha
okay... we HEAR what they’re saying. you know, about having ethics and helping people not get shitty/bad decision tattoos.
but how many of them actually stick to that shit in reality & when there’s money on the line?
at least two of them obviously didn't since they were on 'just tattoo of us' hahaha
The digimon one actually sounded kinda interesting from concept, a tiny bit confusing too
Dude should've just shown her Yugioh stone tablets.
the lion king tattoo sounds awesome ngl
ok but the hakuna matatta with your own pets idea is super cute actually??
