    I've watched every episode of this build by Jeff, and all his previous builds. What sets Jeff apart is what you see is the cold hard truth of building modified cars. There is no sugar coating, no bullshit - '"me and my buddies got the whole thing done in a weekend'', and he is never too proud to show his mistakes. If you want to see what it really takes, then home built by Jeff is where you need to look. The weekly episode drops on Sunday are like a campfire.

      I think we can let him off for that one, given that he spent a whole day turning perfectly good window tint into bin fodder!!! It was painful to watch but you can only commend his persistence. Its a horrible job to do at the best of times. @@jimhimesjr

      The rear diff and the engine our the only two things i can think of that Jeff hasn't worked on.
      Window tinting is notoriously difficult to master..

  • @rekleif
    @rekleif 9 месяцев назад +20

    I have followed this guy since he built his Datsun 240Z. There are few people that has mastered so many different skills. Most farm out half the work in builds like this, not Jeff, if he doesn't have a skill he does his research and learns how to do it. He does body, paint, interiors and the only thing he did not do himself on the Alfararri was the tint on the back window, that's it... How many do you know can do all that? They are far between for sure.
    God bless you Jeff and lots of love from Norway.

    I would love to see this build lined up next to Sarah-n-Tuned’s ‘72 Celica build. Theres so much similarity yet completely different cars. Similar vintage, similar size 2-door, both getting V8’s that people don’t usually think of for a swap, both getting very nice upgrades yet staying original looking outside, both yellow cars, both staying true to their car’s country of origin, both very detailed builds.

      @@alwaysinverted1224 diesel powered Right Hand Drive TJ Wrangler with an automatic transmission. Yes diesel swaps have been done in Jeep for years, but the Right Hand Drive has become a packing challenge. Also didn't help that I had it running with a Kubota V2403 and then decided to swap to a BEW TDI because the county I was living in at the time was debating an emission change that would have made it impossible for me to pass emissions. Oddly enough that is no longer relevant because I moved to another State here in the US.
      I've also been helping prototype new adapter designs for transmission missions. I went from an AW4 to a Ford 6r80 and now I'm running an AW4 again but with the valvebody out of a Toyota Tacoma A340F so I don't need the TV cable and the TCU can controller line pressure based on the load and boost of the TDI engine.
      If I've learned one thing with this project, if you want a diesel swapped Jeep, use a TDI or Cummins R2.8 and use a manual transmission, that is the easiest and fastest way to get the swap done.
