- The time has finally come to see if Real Deal runs and drives!!
Cavills Performance has done an Amazing job getting this sorted!
Massive thanks goes out to Matt and the crew at Cavill's Performance and the team at Haltech for what they have achieved getting the Ferrari v12 up and running. Авто/Мото
Ferrari about to send a cease and desist letter for making their V12 sound like an ecotec 😂 hope to see some nice pipes on it soon
I was thinking that it definitely sounds like two 6 cykinder commodores drag racing. Definitely cool though.
Sounds shit house
@@DontBeDraft85I mean a v12 is 2 inline 6s put in a v just like a v8 is 2 inline 4s put in a v a cross plane v8 is 2 cross plane inline 4s and a flat plane v8 is 2 flat plane inline 4s
@sebdupree1 You mean with equal length headers 12 into 2 it would sound like a V12 not two 6 cylinder commodores? Thanks for heads up.
nah there toooo busy keeping an eye on DDE lol
Got to be honest, I was expecting a screaming V12 and it wasn't.
And more power...thats like ls1 power 🥺
I know these guys can do as they please and whatever, me personally i liked the 8 that was in it.
that trans is sucking a lot of power out of it
This is the 5.7 litre v12 not the 6 or 6.5 litre. It was never going to sound how people thought it would.
needs a 12 to 1 exhaust then it would scream
Congratulations on the intense build.. Definitely not what I was expecting to hear from the usual sound of a Ferrari but that's what makes it unique. Enjoy the fruits of your labour, patience and passion Bud
Maybe a new/better exhaust system to get the Ferrari sound?
Titanium back half
Nice build boys definitely need to work on that exhaust note with that pipe set up
Anyone else feel the powerglide kinda lets it down? Would have been way cooler with the ferrari transmission or a dct or sequential box
Yes and No I feel like the rev limiter and engine choice let It down what happened to the 12 thousand RPM screaming monster was supposed to be?
Xtrac or similar would be epic.
would hae been way cooler with an 8hp90 8 speed. could have used a stock trans, and the turbo lamik tcu for about $3500 and it runs with any ecu and drives like factory bmw/hellcat with the 8 speed.
Build one then!
Fuk yeah...! When you doing that....?
Well done. Been watching and never thought that it would run let alone turn the wheels
Congrats on the immense effort, energy.expertise and money poured into this very very unique engine swap .... I hope you enjoy mate for years to come and I'm sure you'll change things along the way. What most counts is your very very happy with the result and that what counts ....👍
Sweet!! From the US here and Cleetus fan.
Love this build and awesome to see the Warbird again!
What an amazing combination !!! damn that Torrie looks tough and the rear tubs needed to fit that rubber in was totally worth it ... Big Respect Man !! There is a shitload of work going into that rare beast ... absolutely well done .. next time im passing through Castlemaine i hope to see it enjoying some time outside.
Lucky my brother's LC two door had a 138, if we had that V12, God would be writing this. So bloody fantastic. Well done to your vision, persistence and collaborators.
Nice work. I learn a lot from you. Much appreciation.
Well done back on the road 👏& full circle. Sounds like a Holden 6 again.
So good to see that you've finally got the Real Deal Torana moving under its own power finally. . Well done to all involved.
Its not about a million hp its the point of doing sumthing different and the engineering behind it all its a first its legendary see it for wat it is. Great feat guys well done.
Great to see it finally up running, a dream combination 🤙
what a beast to "go down to the local shops". Absolutely amazing. I had one back in the 1980s with a 186 and you have put me to shame!
When you fit a Ferrari V12 but a 202 with triples sounds better!! Maybe a different exhaust config. Even Harry's garage Jag V12 sounds more V12-y than this currently.
A 202 with triples never makes power past 4000rpm, they just make noise and hiss. The 186 was a better revving motor, and boring them to 202 whilst keeping the 186 head for higher compression was the better way to go. The factory 202 was never as good as a big bore 186. Even then, they didn't make power after a certain rev range, the dyno printouts always showed either a drop off or a flatline.
@@TorquilBletchleySmythe Maybe in the old days. How about an 8000rpm 202 with 300+ HP at the wheels? ruclips.net/video/B5HKKKktlzA/видео.htmlsi=lj9L-eVmf7lkraD-
@@TorquilBletchleySmythethanks info guy
@@Mac-zl4po my work is done here.
Amazing build lads, congratulations
Y'all certainly do things different in the Land Down Under! I amire your crazy ideas and execution of said crazy ideas!
so good to see it up and running,i often wondered if it would end in tears but you pulled it off congrats now to make it sound like v12.
I'm stunned. It sounds like a well tuned Holden 6. (Even the belt screams)
Don't know how you've done it but MINT!
Glad to see you getting to drive it and it's not as much power as a big block Chevy but the Cool factor is there
Such a great car. Thanx for the video.
Love the idle of that thing, sounds beast as!!
so happy for you, done well and sounds good :) euro v12s have a unique noise
Mate what a rippa !!!! Luv every bit of it. You built a toad runna just the way YOU wanted it.
I've got to say, that's probably right on the edge of the right amount of crazy, what a creation!
Excellent project. So very well done!
Awesome work Matty
Straight pipes to the diff in titanium will give it the scream .
Congrats awesome build ❤
Yeah, that's what it's missing. Doesn't sound like a Ferrari without the scream.
Straight piping isn't allowed here.
@@carisi2k11 You can run whatever you want as long as you retain cats as long as it doesn't exceed the dB limit and the exit location complies with whatever arbitrary nonsense they've come up with.
@@dyIanVIIit’s pretty unlikely that straight pipe would pass those rules
@@pieflies Realistically you could run cats + resonators to get it *just* below the dB limit not under load and it'd sound very similar.
Ive been waiting for this upload for so long 👌
The Ferrari identifies as an ecotec 😂
I've heard much better sounding barras
Yep what a let down
Well done , sounding pretty smooth . Should be able to rip 10s with that power level .
I love it! What a wild build!
Great content thanks for sharing
Keep up the good work guys.
Absolutely love the body on this. Awesome work, buy the beater a beer any day. Legend Lc.
I liked the firing order. Thanks for sharing. 😁
Awesome to see it complete and running but i think it needs more noise seems to be abit too quiet either way it's very unique and never been done.
So sick! But need that v12 sound!
Great to see it running down the road now. Awesome job folks.
Never been this hyped to see a build done
Nice job! 😊
Pearler of a car, well done. I love those LC/LJ coupes. It sounds throaty for a 12.
Love the channel fellas long time sub .. but to be completely honest not my thing but great job though 💪
Finally ! Been waiting to see this
Wow awesome job mate
I'd like to see it with a couple of smallish compound terbs for the road. it's a nice setup still good job 👍
Bloody awesome Mate
✌😎
I absolutely love this car, but it's a bit of a shock now hearing it sound like my mum's vacuum cleaner. Especially after the last engine it had in it. 😂
The intro music almost had me pour a glass of wine 🤌🤌
Wow what a sound idling sounds like a V8- Diesel - Ferrari 🤙 maybe two and a half inch straight through it's pretty quiet unique sound
Time for some turbos!! @DDE did it with a similar engine possibly even the same engine but seemed to work great for them they are now building a gymkhana style car with the set up
Nah man that thing is wicked. Awesome stuff. 👌🏼
Awesome to finally see this beast on the road. But thought it'd have a few more horses than what its got. Not too worry, it's on the road & it smokes the tyres & that's what matters. Now what do we call it? Is it a Torari or a Ferrana? LOL. Who cares, Great to finally see it on the road.
I’m predicting the power glide will eventually go.
A close ratio 5 or 6 speed manual is what a high revving Ferrari V12 is screaming out for.
Awsome build!
Love it well done
Now you can have red dice on the rear vision mirror, that is some excellent spanner work and auto electrical work as well.
I like the click clack of the gated manual, but this is very cool. It's a unique sound isn't it?
Happy it runs and drives. Wish i could afford to be different. Good job gentleman.
If you don't mind me asking what transmission are you using behind that Ferrari v-12?? Did harvest the V12 out of the 720 Ferrari??
Nice one fellas.
Just need to get that Ferrari exhaust note and she will be mint.
I loved seeing it going down the main street.
Its got a tuff stance mate, and the sound is interesting. Sounds nice outside goin down the road.
Been waiting for this.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
What a cool little cruiser, great build, definitely one of a kind.
Well sounds very different to what I was expecting going to be a cool LC now. You need a Ferrari style rid shop sticker now on the screen the old sticker looks out of place. Love it Heath all the best from xa wagon family in the UK.
That's an awesome, unique build, but man, that sounded pretty average. Thanks for the update though, been a long time coming.
Awesome build though. Lot of time and effort went into that.
Would love to see that potentiometer setup. Been thinking of doing the same to my little project for boost by gear etc
They made that out to be a big deal. It’s as simple as a 0-5v shock type sensor mounted to the lever on the trans. Pretty sure motion Raceworks sell them.
This is wild mate specially for a small town in Victoria blown away she might not be screaming but it's streetable just needs some rear seats let the family times roll
Been waiting on this build for so long checking in from time to time hoping it would get carried all the way thru to the finish line and not shelved need to contact Gintani for an exhaust lol
WOW . Know this is what we have been waiting for what a beast. It is still the real deal .
Now that's ridiculous. Great stuff
Awesome build
Wow can't wait to hear it run on all 12 cylinders? Sounds funny running on 6cyl
Really cool combination, and I'm happy to see it finally running and driving. I'm a bit surprised at the torque numbers being kinda low. I guess I thought the torque would be closer to matching the HP on that v12. Haltech will be beneficial with any future power upgrades in the future...
His thing is mental.
One question tho.
Are those air cleaners going to suck in hot air from the exhaust headers?
Great build 😁👍
Love it, nice and different engine, love it!
The car we have been waiting for
I’m new to the Holden cars. But what year and model is this car? Thanks in advance!
Very cool !
Very nice mate, bhp is not everything if it was you’d have never pulled the 8 I’m guessing. Engineering standpoint alone she’s a 10
Never thought I'd hear those words together: "Powerglide behind a Ferrari!" Wow, unreal, certainly different from an LS!
Blasting! That looks like my dad's Torana, bought new in Melbourne about 1970/71...what year did you buy this as a 14 year-old? Could we check the heritage? Do you know the car's history? The name of the original owner? Love yr work mate!
Fuawk boys it sounds like a automatic ve omega in limp mode 😂😂 where did we go wrong on the exhaust setup
Been waiting for this....💪😎🍺🇳🇿
Oh some valves on the exhaust to open it up for the fans could be fun 🤓🔥
That tuner guy knows wat he's talking bout brother
One sick exhaust system and a tune it'll scream boys..
And this is why iv always enjoyed Aussie car builds, they can do your normal crazy then there's absolute REAL DEAL crazy!
Are you going to rego it if so, you will need cats like I Sayed in the early build up, great stuff cheers.
Castlemaine y'all rock! Love the car it's a beast. Peace
i want to see it on the drag strip for a time
Sounds weird not having that V8 noise but it just goes to show regardless of what power plant you stick under the bonnet of any car, you end up with a beast if it's done right. Great job guys!
Wonderful to see and hear it run. Great build.
The mariachi band for the intro song is absolutely perfect! ❤ WELCOME TO MEXICOO BABY! 🇲🇽
