For optimal adhesion please follow these instructions. This is a 4 step process when applying the Stone Coat Platinum.
Step 1: Use 1 ounce per square foot of Stone Coat Platinum as a wash coat aka undercoat. (Avoid using our epoxy undercoat with the Stone Coat Platinum, the water off-gassing may cause poor adhesion.) The wash coat will replace the undercoat when using our Platinum system. A wash coat is applied by tinting the Platinum with our dye then using a large popsicle stick or squeegee to spread a thin coat that's tinted to hide the color of the substrate. When coating over existing non-porous materials such as laminate, be sure to create visible scratches in the surface using mechanical sanding to promote adhesion. Bonding primer can also be applied but be sure the water has fully escaped prior to installing the Stone Coat Platinum. The purpose of a wash coat is to promote adhesion by pushing the coating into the substrate as well as adding an undertone color to hide the original color of the substrate.
Step 2: As soon as the wash coat is applied you can add the color coat. The color coat is the decorative process of applying our color additives including Dye, Metallic Powder, and Spray Paint. Mix 3 ounces per square foot of Platinum for this coat.
Step 3: The clear coat is applied the next day. Sand with 120 grit sanding discs using a random orbital sander. Wipe with xylene, then apply the clear coat. We mix 3 ounces per square foot of the Stone Coat Platinum for this coat. As we have continued testing adhesion in all climates and temperatures we advise this method of application. (As soon as the xylene is flashed or dry, pour the clear coat because the xylene is going to make the color coat sticky which will promote optimal adhesion)
Step 4: Apply the Ultimate top coat for extreme scratch resistance, a natural sheen, and ultimate durability. Follow the instructions for the Ultimate Top Coat.
This Stone Coat Platinum system differs from our other products because it's been designed for the professional installer who has a need for a fast turnaround time and the ultimate non yellowing hybrid coating technology. The materials set up and cure fast, requiring experience. Please practice on a small project first and get ready to take your epoxy business to the next level! YOU GOT THIS!

You’re exactly who you are supposed to be. Don’t change. Mr Rogers and Bob Ross were great men, but they are already taken. You are here to be you and you are doing an excellent job of it. 😊
Chose to do my floor in the kitchen first. I wanted to place tile but lacked the experience to match the marble floor.
Friend told me just use the epoxy instead. Ordering 5 of your flooring mix. Totally excited about it.
Love your training vids! You guys are awesome!!
Please share video
Can this be used over concrete countertops
@@cindyweigand723 good question. Mitch??
I don't know.... I kind of like the big tough guy take on Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross...
I have been watching everyone’s painting/technique so I can do my countertops and I honestly have to say you guys are by far greatest!! Thank you
Hi guy's....I love this!!! My countertops are 45 years old.....I NEED new ones!!! I am 63 and very artistic, so I would love to try this !!!!
You Got This Renae! What colors are you thinking for your counters? Please give our project support a call if you have any questions🙌
I'm a painter/drywall finisher for 40 yr and you have inspired me to do floors and counter tops.
We did our first pour. Now I am evaluating EVERYTHING that needs refacing. LOVE this product and the team. Y'all GOT THIS. Now we do, too. Thanks for being you.
Where are your pictures? I'd love to see how yours turned out, im nervous to start mine, but im going to do it anyway.

I watched a large kitchen counter top project with stove top and and custom back splash with medallion. It turned out Awesome!
When you cut in the plugs on the back splash you cemented on how time consuming. I found the easiest way to install is EASY.
Don't put them in. I cut a strip of wood and cut on a 45% angle and mounted tight on back edge of cabinets .
A 6' metal outlet strip has about 12 plugs all ready wired. When installed you can not see unless you bend down and look under cabinets. This will give you a plug any where you set any appliance. I followed it up buy adding a thin strip of LED lighting with a wireless remote that can change colors, It makes an big impact
Absolutely love this! Do you guys ever come back to your projects from the past (preferably this one😍) to show us how it has held up and looks today?! Would love to see it! Very impressive!
Thanks
Enjoy your commitment to your faith, family and our country. Made in our USA, by US, remains the best.
I watch and listen only to learn, and yes … you do talk to much.
But…
It’s worth listening to.
Thanks
Still at home, hopefully only for a couple more weeks 🙏 You guys have helped keep me sane and fired up my imagination. You make it all look so easy and combine colours I'd never have thought of and it always looks AMAZING 👏 😍 Thanks to all of you ❤ Hope you're all safe and well x
Well that didn’t age well. December 2021 and still it goes on. Merry Christmas from Scotland. 🏴
We have an older home....can't wait to try this in my kitchen
I’m gearing up to do my first pour...still a bit nervous! Love these trainings!
Same! Doing my coffee tabletop, got it primed just scared to do the next step, hopefully this weekend! Good luck to you
@@beatlebaileynichols good luck! Wish we could see your results.
Take pics please!
I am watching this vid 1st time today. Thinking yours is done? Please let me know how it went cause I'm itching to jump in here as a business - recently retired. Does the finish hold up or do rings stay from coffee cups, vases, etc... Please indulge me...
How did it turn out? I have 85 ft² of kitchen counter for tops butler pantry and island. No way can I afford new countertops. But I am super crafty and quite confident I can do this!
How you guys come across is just right. Be yourselves. Anything else just wouldnt be authentic. Watching from Sydney Australia.
I could watch these videos all day! Thank you Mike for all of the inspiration with so many different designs and color combinations!
Do yo uh ever get requests for something "less natural" , but rather more along the lines of more modern art?
If I don't get a free "give away", are you selling the table tilt doohickey?
I have been watching all day pretty much 😬🥴
That diamond dust looks fantastic. I love diamonds hahaha. I can't wait to try this. Amazing one of a kind. No one will have the same pattern. I thought I'd be afraid until I'm watching your video tonight
I haven't looked to see if you have a video on the the difference between using spray paint vs dye vs powder to color the epoxy and when would you use the different coloring products. If there isn't a video, I think it would be a good quick video to do.
OMG!!! Awesome video. I'm a disabled vet who is wanting to use your system to produce kitchen and bathroom designs that will be usable in my case. It is cool, if not cold here. Today it is in the 50's and I would like to build, but am not at that point right now. As I said, I'm a disabled vet and would like to meet with one of your reps from NH to move on.
I have been watching for months!! Scared to try to pick the right colors and what will look great!! Building my own double vanity top. Need more color mixing tutorials for us slow people! Working every other week btw!
I'm watching for the same reason! i have an old table I'm making into a make up station for my twin girls and I in our new dressing room
I'm doing a bunch of samples to get up my confidence, did a set of coasters and soon doing a shelf to dial in the recipe that we'll use for our kitchen
Wassup? Im a seventy year old...still working..woodworker living in the western Carolina Mountain foothills. Im very good at my craft and pretty well known for it! What I am ? however? Is hard to impress! Just a fact. I do not criticise..but I merely observe and wonder how people come up with their belief systems. My Mantra is COMMON SENSE. Anyway guys Thank You!! Because you have Impressed the heck out of me!! Im definately a Fan! And I will b e ordering some of your products!....Dale
I'm off to bed, it's 1:40 am here in Tassie. I'll be back for more tomorrow, nite guys and thanks for the outstanding live tips....
awesome... will be trying myself as DIY!!
Its my first time ordering from u.. Im so excited.. Im newly divorced so this epoxy is my first project by myself... Can't wait
I’ve watch your video about doing epoxy over an old tile countertop. I love that idea and save me a lot of $$$. Awesome idea. Thanks

I've been a Plastics Engineer since 1980 & I found the best way to eliminate bubbles in any resin, whether it epoxy, vinyl ester, or polyester resin, is to place your resin bucket into a vacuum chamber (5 gal, pail) & hook up your vacuum hose to your vacuum pump. This will eliminate every bubble in the resin in a couple of minutes. The pump, pail & hose with vacuum gauge cost less the $500.00.
This is an old comment now and you’re correct for strength of laminates but actually for visual effects the bubbles are useful and the rustoleum paint used adds another “boiler” that gets pearls and glitters to churn up the different colors in the epoxy. But yes the vacuum chamber is the best to offgass for strength. On a different note. Graphine (I probably spelled it wrong) is the latest world’s most strongest substance and in powder form it LITERALLY will strengthen the raw resin 20 times its normal strength. A 1 inch round solid rod with graphine powder added is ridiculously stronger. Graphine is a carbon atomic structure shaped like an octagonal single layer (flat the thickness of the atom but the atomic bond is the strongest known to man) and they found that is electrical conductive properties make it perfect for the future of batteries. The technology is probably about six years old now but if you can figure out who is going to be able to make this product viable enough by all the stock you can. The company that can produce this product effectively and cheaply will be the next Apple/ Microsoft/Amazon
Really really miss the old videos that actually showed the whole process instead of only obsessing on certain details.
M.
Would love a kit, living on small budget this would be a Good sent blessing. Love watching you creations...you feed my need to grow in my own creativity. Bless you all so much for sharing.
I like the platform you run, you really seem to be a fun person who is passionate about your product and it gets a person excited to try what your doing
I JUST SAID THIS ON ANOTHER VIDEO TODAY.... LOL HE'S REALLY GOOD AND PERSONABLE
I have been watching these videos since 4 months ago. I intend to use this system in my kitchen very soon. My kitchen is almost ready. I will be calling you guys
That is awesome Antonio! We cant wait! -Nathan
This was so good! But I'll be honest, I can't keep my eyes off of the one behind you (in between the orange and blue pieces) 😩 - it's sooo good!. Is there a video for that one?
Great Works, From Trinidad in the Caribbean.....Just LOOOOOOOVE it
I’ve watched many of your videos, and like how you and your team are very informative about what is going on in each process. I plan on using the product for a floating desk, kitchen counter tops plus island, and also in the garage on my custom built in work station. Keep up the great work and instructional videos!!
It's a great Projekt and than a lot you share all the Details. The Extra bukket gave a eye catcher and coined an added value to the Board. Love you watching. Greetings from Germany. Go on.
Watched last night and again tonight and I have to redo my counter in next two weeks. You guys are great, Aloha From Hawaii
Disabled with arthritis in knees n back n pelvis. And I am enjoying watching all these training videos. I would love to see the results of some projects like yourself n hear your experiences with completion of your projects. How hard etc. I use electric wheel chair for long distance but inside home I can use crutches or Rollator. Do you believe this would be too difficult for me to do by myself? Thanks
Could you share pics of your projects you have completed. I would love to see other's completed home Reno’s with Epoxy projects. This is so gorgeous. I am wondering g if I could do this n if my low income budget can afford to do my Counter tops myself.?
Thank you for the videos! Several years ago I did my kitchen countertops and now I’m about to do shower walls!
I love this design the MOST! I am wanting to do mine own countertops but it's just me to do it. Smiles ~ Deb
Deb I am so excited watching these videos n not sure if being disabled and widowed if I can go this by myself? Have you completed any projects to date? I would love to hear your experiences remodeling your Countertops. Was it too hard by yourself? I lost my husband in 2000. And have nobody to help me. Being disabled I would really love hearing from customers out there who have used the Epoxy n can share info n photos! Maybe my entire kitchen that needs a total remodel could be achievable on my low income if I do one thing at a time huh? So. Maybe 66 yrs old with Arthritis in knees n back but my hands work great. I can’t lift anything heavy. Think I could learn this too?
@@bsmith8361 As s builder, I think if you can afford to make test projects for practice, there is no reason to think you can't succeed.
I love the way u explained how the notify buttons works. Made me want to press it.
Excited recovering from hurricane Laura
Fixing to start on countertops
Hi Missie did you use the Epoxy here on your countertops? Would you share your experience with using this n share some pics? I am disabled n truly interested in hearing from customers their experiences with doing Epoxy remodel jobs in their homes! I am not certain if this will be too hard for me to do alone.
Can’t believe I’m watching this one so late this top looks great I Love this stuff because you can make whatever you want if you wanna certain look you don’t have to go buy towels or get granite and get what they have you can. Make it the way you wanted to look I’ve been painting for a long time this is something I am deathly about to get into and I notice a lot of people are painting the cabinets now in 2022 a lot of money to be made on people getting their kitchens done and then will have to pay nowhere near of a fraction what they used to pay to get cabinets and granite countertops contractors in store put up real nice chunk in his pocket and you can work with people that are on a budget I’ve always done that and then gotten referrals and made a lot more but helping a customer out
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. I finally have my own space so I can use your techniques! I’ll be making an order soon. I have subscribed and hope you get to your million soon!
Thanks for your support! We hope you can utilize these videos and create your dream projects! -Nathan

Awesome! Thank you Sigel! We would love to see your work have you joined our Facebook group Stone Coat Countertops Insiders? -Nathan
@@StoneCoatCountertops I have the regular laminate countertops and want to put this on my 15 foot countertop. I don't like the way the countertop front is, and I am thinking of taking the countertop OFF and using Plywood......I want the front of the countertop to be flat(?) instead of the way it is now.
Any suggestions?
Please don’t ever stop!
We never stop learning but even beside that we just love watching every video!
I don’t even do that much resin, I just love watching! Then I get so inspired
My resin products are puny but love watching anyway!
Thank you so much

I love this you literally can’t fuck it up. I mean hell yeah. I’ll be doing this to my kitchen very soon.

Those of us that missed out during live feed really missed out.
I have been watching your videos for a year now. And I have just found an outlet that supplies your goods, I am
In the UK. So I hope to try it out. Thanks to your tutorials.
I’m doing this on my brother countertops. Hopefully it’ll look this beautiful. Can I get the kit? If not I’m still doing it. 😊
Will you share your end result of your Counter Top Project? I am so excited an would love to see others designs actually I. Home kitchens remodel Completions!
I think you are a great mix of Mr. Rogers, Bob Ross, and Billy Mays! My husband and I were just talking about people we would like to have over for dinner, you and your whole group were at the top of the list. Thank you for being so encouraging.
Pro tip : i could use a tilt table to elevate my skills
I followed your instructions in my second project and I’m very satisfied with the results. I still have two more countertops to work and I hope to do them better.
Love this counter top. My husband and I will be doing this but adding a turquois color to it. Can't wait to see it done.
I work concrete everyday and use those that exact paddle mixer all the time and love it it keeps your product in your bucket and super fast!
I watch yall everyday, I'm wanting to start a business doing countertops and furniture. I'm going to do my own countertop as soon as I can get the funds to get my materials. I'll make a video & send it to you. Thank you for showing us how to do these countertops. I've already done tv trays & end tables.
I'm an artist and beginner epoxy entrepreneur. I have been wanting to do my own thing for awhile now and I really enjoy getting tips from stone coat....
So excited.....scared but excited! What's the worst thing that could happen...just redo it! Fun times ahead!
Yep! Working from home and when work is quiet I spend way too much time watching stone coat videos!
we have our own small business and we are just watching all of your videos so we can hopefully start doing epoxy projects for our customers.....thanks guys your videos are amazing
From Texas. Getting ready to redo my bathroom counter. I'm excited.
I KEEP WATCHING HIM ADD MORE AND MORE IM LIKE ENOUGH MAN!!!
I'm new to stone cold but I've learned so much in the last couple days lots more to learn
Not only do yous fellas have great and thorough walk throughs, but your product is by far better than the crap I got stuck using last week. I tried to use the stone coat process and ended up scraping and sanding two gallons of hot stiff marshmallow creme off a very expensive commercial bar. The bright side is, I get the work from here forward on the up coming projects. I WILL be using stone coat exclusively. That other brand is never going to get my business. High altitude and low temperature was their reason for product failure. 8100 ft and 72f shouldn't be the problem.
Great work guys.
Where was the failed brand from?
You guys and gals are awesome. I am a very spiritual person and I'm very selective on what I embrace and what I don't in the beings of people. One of your videos came across my feed and I have been watching, even fell asleep to them, for about 18 hours. To see your gentleness, care, honesty and joy in sharing is a refreshing light in a smog filled existence. Blessings, love and may you be rewarded for what you may not even be fully aware of that you give to this existence being so open and genuine.
Love your show. I am an experienced tile installer and painter ,this will be the most exciting of the three trades
Be yourself, you have a happy go lucky spirit, with a splash of cool lingo!
I have been power watching your videos...im mesmerized! You make it look so easy!!!
I have been watching you for a couple of years, this is what I want. Thank you so much. God bless
My wife and I are remodeling a living space in Sandy Oregon, because we are moving to my parent's property. They are at a point that they need some help. Anyway, we have been watching as many of your videos as we can, and we will be deciding on recipe, and ordering in the next couple of weeks. This will be our first time doing anything with epoxy, and we are excited to see the finished product!!!

you guys are the BEST! Watching from Melbourne, Australia. Always inspiring stuff!
I just received my set for my large kitchen with an island and I’m nervous but excited. I watch most of your videos to learn but I still have lots of nerves about it. Wish me luck.
We're stone coating our bathroom counter. The process is so easy. Even for us over 60+.
After a couple of sample pieces we've decided on the design, today is the day.
Next we will do our kitchen counter. We've not decided on color or design yet but I'm loving this piece. Thank you for all the effort you put into this product and the videos, pro tips and behind the scene content
That is awesome! Linda thank you for sharing we hope to see some project pictures. You Got This!
Haven’t tried my own projects yet. Planning to remodel kitchen cabinets & Stonecoat the counters& back splash. I want to match the color & design on the outdoor BBQ kitchen. Can’t wait to have fun with this. Thanks
Love how much you talk. I pick up a lot from it and it’s not boring.
Dang I wish I would have seen you sooner, love watching this stuff, so do it myself. Being a woman, construction men take such advantage of that. I have so learned a lot from you guys.
Gorgeous, the diamond dust is beautiful.
I'm a retired newbie! love to refinish furniture looking for something different.
The greatest!!!!!! A true artist. You make it look sooooooo easy.
I'm a newbie at this but I love the results. If I become good at this you'll have me for life.
This is my first video and I'm hooked. Shared this with a countertop guy. Can see this taking off in our little town...laughlin/bullhead city
Thank you Carolee! We hope we have inspired you to create amazing projects with our epoxy!
Kingman, Arizona here, Carolee. Been watching approx. 2 months and I can totally see our area doing this. 😉
My realtor said that I need to redo my countertops definitely gonna give this a try and when we move this will be the 1st thing I do to my new kitchen!
my father has done countertops for the last 35+yrs, personally I love solid surface for countertops and would hate to epoxy over that. also i have been working with epoxy and solid surface to make flags etc. and love epoxy. I think enlaying epoxy and solid surface allows you to be super creative.
This is my first time watching your videos! Amazing! I will be doing my kitchen and two bathrooms!
Oh man, I found this channel today. You are AWESOME! Best in epoxy!!!! I'm in NY but would CERTAINLY fly in for classes if you offered 'em. I think you should consider that in the future, PLEASE.
Sweet that finish over wood is awesome!
Can't wait to get started! Step one phoning your offices on Monday from SCOTLAND to work out how to get products here to work with.
You Got This Kim! What look are you going for?
Doc is right! Thanks for adding the details so that I know what to do! I have watched some of these videos 3-4 times, but now, I'm pouring tonight.
Okay, so cool. You just mentioned your from Grants Pass. We live in Utah and my husband grew up there. I watch you all the time. Gonna do my first pour here soon..
I’m gonna do this on my vanities, in our master bath. I’ve done the other two bathrooms and I’m almost 70. I love this. I loved the last bath too. I did it using Mitch’s Carmel video. Kinda made it mine, though. You guys are great and I got this! Thanks
Love your comments. Do you have photos you can share of your projects you have completed I bet you completed bathroom vanities turned out gorgeous! Can you charge some pics?
I'm remodeling my kitchen and bathroom, and going to do the counters with live edge slabs. Want to make it look like there is a river running down them, with the sinks look like a deep pool in the river. Really appreciate you guys helping me learn before I get started. The work that you do is beautiful. Thanks guys.
You can do it James! Thanks for watching our videos! If there is anything you need just Google Stone Coat Countertops and ask away. -Dennis
Wow this sounds amazing. I wish you could share your pics n experiences with the process thru completion of your remodel projects. Sounds beautiful. Thank you so much.
B & G Hardware in Brooklyn loves your products. Appreciate your business model.
Believe this will look fabulous with modern farmhouse design!

I remember when you bought your first 2 inch router bit when you worked out side.....Ohhh the good ole days.....GOTTA LOVE EPOXY
Rockie amazed at your art work like I do when watching bob rose and in a mr roger mood. Can’t wait to try I’m sure w your help I will succeed. Have a great one guys. I’m happy we crossed RUclips paths LOL.
I bought my stone coat epoxy a couple years ago and had to deal with a brain tumor thus the pause , my energy is back up and I'm ready to do my kitchen counter tops. Counters are very long so anything new would be major out of pocket. I am so psyched about this it has been a long time coming!
white, black with a hint of deep red pearl veins 🙌🏼
From the Northern Oregon Coast. Just ordered some to play/ practice with on an old coffee table before attempting to do a bigger project. I'm very uneasy about doing this still. If any of y'all are in my area and want to make some extra cash or record a new video, I'd love for you to come do our smaller kitchen and maybe small bathroom vanity too...😁 Excited to replace what is there so we can get this house sold! Keep having fun and making the videos! ( by the way I've been watching for a few years now and always knew I'd do my counter tops with Stone Coat and I'm finally ready to pull the trigger and very excited to do my first project and then save a ton of money on the remodel projects so Thank you.)
I enjoy watching and learning from you guys.
I'm a rookie and never tried it yet I'm going to try tomorrow thanks to you guys
When my and my family's home burned down i had given up its cause of u guys that i found something worth gettiing back into
Madagascar grey... that’s what jumped out at me. Great job Mike.
Oh awesome! Thank you for watching Terry🙌
My first time of watching from London, I really love your teaching and what you do.
Welcome friend! Thank you for taking the time, do you have any projects coming up?
