I remember always hearing the announcers say: "He's more of a scoring guard than a point guard". Bro, he lead the league in assists. He was the prototype point guard.
Andre Miller was like a Poor Mans Jason Kidd almost the same build and height when I think of Forgotten Point Guards I think of Rod Strickland, Sam Cassell and Andre Miller, amazing that Strickland and Andre Miller never made a All Star Team
@@Magicstocktoncalm down with the aggression homie, watch it! but I see a Poor Man's Jason Kidd and I could see a less flashy Mark Jackson, but calm down G!
Andre Miller set the Sixers back a decade. I remember when we finally traded AI, it sucked, but atleast we would have a chance at Kevin Durant in the draft as we had the worse record in the league when we traded him because AI was sitting out. And than we get Andre Miller and decide to go on a crazy winning streak that put us at the bottom of the lottery and for what? Thaddeus Young instead of Kevin Durant that is what.
the 02 world championships slightly dented miller's rep, as they finished 7th, i remember people blaming him for shooting a 3 vs serbia when reggie miller was on the floor. from then on he was regarded as a steady reliable point guard. you know what you are getting every game but also the opponent don't expect him to take over games like stars do. this resulted in no all star selection, and also playing for small market teams before portland and philly.
Andre was the man! Saw him playing for Rick Majerus and then as a Nugget - if somehow he could have stayed without giving him up for Iverson, the Nuggets could have been a title contender.
Hey man! I have a list for you: Kwame Brown Vince Carter Kevin Willis DeSagana Diop Eddy Curry Manute Bol Darius Miles Eddie Robinson Muggsy Bogues Ben Gordon Cliff Robinson
Great player to feature!!! Please do one on Randall Cunningham Lisa Leslie Vernon Maxwell Robert Horry Horace Grant Manu Ginobli Ne Ne Hilario Wally Szerbiak(sp) Charles Oakley
Cavs and nuggets and Sixers benefited well from Miller’s consistent passing and offense I believe Iggy once said that Miller was the smartest player he played with
The art of the pass first point guard is disappearing. I remember a lot of players that would be perfect for today's NBA that struggled in their time. Miller was an old time point guard. Even those that are called great in the past would put up similar numbers. His defense was highly underrated. An old time point guard in a time of change.
Always described as a boring point guard, but to me, he was old the day he entered the league. A high IQ floor general that played that position the way it should be. He had the makings to lead a team all the way, but unfortunately, the front office of teams never fully gave him the keys to go all out and show that they believed in him.

I loved this dude's game. A classic floor general that did his job everywhere he played.
Dude could hoop and was a great guy as well. Ran into him downtown here in Denver and was super nice and friendly. Definitely a true professional.

Andre Miller aka Mr Crafty
You know how underrated he was? He led the league in assists, yet he was not selected to the All Star Game.

This guy is my favorite player. I wished he retired as a nugget
To answer the question he was better than cp3
Not in any facet of the game was he close to Chris Paul, at any stage of their careers.
Miller always lost to teams who always made it far In the playoffs that year so he always up against very very strong team's
