Always a treat thanks you much for all your hard work and advice, simply the best bang for bucks on youtube proving that you don't need all the bells and whistles to get out there and explore..better than all the other 4wd channels out there with all their sponsors and fancy rigs just saying cheers from Sydney
Nice! I just finished binge watching your Vic HC series again. I think I may head up to Barrington over Christmas and head down to the Vic HC, and do the route you did 👍🏻
I finally got a chance to get up there, only a day trip, to check out some of the places you went to. I hadn’t been since your last trip. I also found the “cock rock”. That area of the park is quite different to the rest so was a bit of a giveaway, just kept an eye out for it as we went. It’s huge!! So many tracks to explore too. Thanks again for the motivation and the great videos.
Mate, another fantastic trip, can’t wait for the second instalment!! Your clips keep getting better. Thanks for talking about the trail details and track conditions too. I’ve done the usual national park trails solo but never bothered to look at the state forest. Your posts are good motivation to get out and tackle some trails.👍
Just wanted to say thanks for your videos, i made this trip up last year with the Gf in my awd rav4....made it down to junction pools on the barrington trail ...the place is amazing....hope to one day upgrade to a 4x4 and check out some other tracks....but i must say your video was so helpful before i got there...keep it up.
Hey Tyler - the watergauge campsite looks great. What track does the water gauge run off? on map it looks like walking only? ps - these are great vids, my son and I watch all of them!
Cool, I'm heading up there on the 30th for 2 nights. Looking at staying at Dilgry Campsite 1 night them Gummi Falls 2nd night. ANy advice on tracks to take or not to take for an unlocked no winch 4by travelling solo?
He was using a HEMA Barrington Tops/Wollemi map (3.24 minutes into the video), but when I could not find it on the website (shop.hemamaps.com/collections/new-south-wales/products/4wd-treks-close-to-sydney?variant=13360298885238), only the $45 4WD Treks Close to Sydney book, or the $70 4WD Adventures book. I guess they weren't selling enough and may have discontinued it in that form. Found a site called Mud Maps (www.mud-maps.com/map-store/mud-map-barrington-tops-national-park-ed1/map-226507/) that have them for $10. Hope you do not mind my post Tyler.
Thank you! And thanks for finding the map. I got mine off an online store but can't remember what one, think it might have been called 'map world'. Some of the HEMA maps are not made anymore so they can be hard to find
@@allwheelinoz4707 Apologies Michelle (and others), as I did not notice that the Mud Map site is for digital ipad/iphone only - NOT hardcopy paper. ~:>(
@@TylerThompson90 Better to take children out than letting them get addicted to electronic games. I took my son to Mintbush Trail along with two other 4wds. One had father and son and the other grandpa just like your trip. Awesome!!
Thanks mate! I got it from an online shop but can't remember what one. I know some of their maps are hard to find as they've stopped making some which sucks because they are good maps. Someone commented above with a link to the map so maybe check that out
What a shame about the "closed" trails Drive around tracks are inventible, been happening ever since the first gate went across a track 40+ years ago. They go to great lengths to close tracks in my area, concrete blocks, 25mm wire cable. Now they use Cameras also.... Won't be long and it with be roads and fire trails only.
Yeah mate its a hard one, I see them go to great lengths to keep tracks closed but 4wders always seem to find a way around them. I see the reasons behind why they shut some trails because of a few select people being idiots but it sucks that everyone else suffers, they need a better solution then just closing them
Thanks mate! Yeah its a hard one for everyone to win, it sucks when they close good tracks but people smashing their way through probably isn't the best solution

Pity about the Scotch Broom growing out of control. Possibly in part spread by feral horses tramping through it. Both shouldn't be there
Yeah its certainly taken over, its everywhere up there
"house rock" - out of the mouths of babes
Great video, those idiots who drive around a closed track is not good for the 4whelling community,
Thanks mate! Yeah its a hard one for everyone to win, it sucks when they close good tracks but people smashing their way through probably isn't the best solution
