@@vinteachesmath hi , can i just ask how did I know you had to use the quadratic equation on 8:29 and not just do +7 on both sides and do (b/2)^2 and find all the values of x that way ?

Please i took the August 2022 Algebra 1 regent as a practice test mock today and after seeing this i failed 😢😢
Hey in question 36 for y + 3x< 5, you kept the circles closed instead of open. Regarding the linear inequality, you said in question 36 on the June regents video you mentioned to us that the dots should be open not closed since the inequality sign is just less than not less than and equal to just like here.
If you connect the points with a dotted line, you will be fine by the regents rubrics.
Either way for the regents will get full credit.
I'm not sure if you're still replying to comments, but for question 27, I got an irrational number.
The sq root of 8 is 2.82 and the sq root of 98 is 9.89 (I think). So, I then multiply these 2 numbers and I get 27.88. What did I do wrong if it really is rational?
Technically, 27.88 is rational because you can express it as 2788/100, the quotient of two integers.
I wouldn't round until the last step, use the calculator to find (sqrt(8))*(sqrt(98)), it will simplify to 28.
***This is a big idea for all 3 math regents, as well as AP exams, do not round at every step of a question, make sure to round at the last step only.***

Some schools will provide a TI-84 CE. It is a fairly common calculator
