Just tested this, it actually works. The positioning actually matters, because if you hug the left side, the trigger activates, but if you're slightly to the right like in the video, you can actually go forward
it already happened that in splat 1 and splat 2 story modes the tutorial is its own level there, i wouldnt be surprised if they reuse this tutorial in the new story mode
Aren’t bugs like this usually the reason for demos? As in, the testfire is certainly to create hype, but also to catch last minutes glitches, I would think, especially with it being a mainly multiplayer experience. I’m assuming it’s as close to early access releases that Nintendo will get. EDIT: Just occurred to me, maybe they knew it was there but figured it wasn’t game breaking or anything crazy, so they left it.

Kinda reminds of how your can easily get outside of the map in Temperantia in Xenoblade 2 and how nearly the whole damn thing has collision. Monolithsoft apparently helped with Splatoon 3's development so that's probably why there's collision outside the map here as well.

it has not, there is a sweet spot on the left side, dont go all the way to the left, you wanna go EXACTLY where my dude went and swim perfectly straight forward

yes, all you have to do is restrart the demo, and if you accidentally trigger the cutscene, quit out and go back in
