I think Helaena is the best autistic character I've ever seen. By far. I'm autistic myself, and she means so much to me. She has a lot of the signs, but many expressed subtly, and I just adore that she has a special interest in bugs. Most importantly, though, I love that she's happy. Most autistic characters aren't. She does the things she enjoys, her family are all either actively supportive or leave her alone, and while she reacts badly to touch sometimes, she isn't driven to meltdown. She is calmly joyful. And knowing that she will face the horror of the plot just the same is, in a way, nice as well. She's a person. Her autism is a part of her, but it isn't all of her. I love her so, so much.
Honestly i think harwins short time on screen was effective in some ways because every scene with him is a strong moment and a great scene, The wedding, the baby and of course the best scene in the entire show Watching cole get his shit ABSOULUTELY rocked So when he died, it translated a feeling of "Hes gone to soon" which is literally what rhynera and her kids would be thinking. Its a decent way of translating some of that feeling of attachment but distance to the character before suddenly cutting him out.

Another thing that I notice, is that when Daemon decapitated Vaemond, Helaena didn't cover her eyes, she covered her ears after everyone in the throne room screamed, I think she can be very sensitive to loud sounds, but when Melys roared at them in the coronation she didn't cover her ears, it can be an inconsistency or just the shock of having a dragon that can kill you in front of your face so I don't know
As someone with sensory issues: not every sound is the same. I work with milling maschines and that's fine, but planes and helicopters drive me nuts even though they are much quieter. She does have a dragon herself, so it might simply be a: dragon sounds are fine, people screaming in shock are not.

It's only on Driftmark, when Aemond gets his freaking eye stabbed out and Viserys's biggest concern is still the mean things he said about Luke and Jace, that I think both Aemond and Aegon realize Alicent mighta had a point after all - which is also why they both choose to cover for her when questioned. ALSO, there's no reason why someone couldn't simp all three Viseryses (Visereese?) as far as I'm concerned.
The moment Rhaenyra asks for Aemond to be "questioned sharply" aka tortured is the moment her sons know that Alicent has a point. It's also the moment Alicent thinks her father was right the entire time, before this despite everything Rhaenyra could have always claimed she wouldn't hurt her half-siblings, but after this they wouldn't believe her anymore.

I find it funny that everyone is making such a big deal about Alicent asking to see Rhaenyra's baby after its birth and portraying her as a monster for making weak Rhaenyra walk all the way (even though she did not ask for Rhaenyra to come herself), when in episode 10 Rhaenyra literally hops on a dragon after an incredibly difficult premature labour lmao
And in the book Rhaenyra was weak she couldn’t ride Syrax for a while lol
