Hey Will, Arm here! I watched the entire video and found myself nodding at almost every point you were making about yourself, as I can relate as well. I suffer from depression and don’t like working all that much as I would much rather direct something I’m passionate about. I’ve tried about 4 or 5 times to become a content creator so I can make money from that but no matter what I’ve tried to put my time and energy to, it didn’t satisfy me the way directing or writing does. Like you find yourself in your element with acting, I find my true self in directing. I’m typing this lump of text to tell you you’re not alone in how you feel, this video is quite relatable to me. Hell, this even was a wake up call in a way for me to make more projects and not wallow in my self pity haha. From what I’ve seen of you, I know you’re going to be a successful and well known actor one day, and I’m rooting for you every step of the way! We definitely need to work together at some point in the future :) PS: Ted Lasso!!
Hey arm! Really appreciate that. And thanks for sharing too, sending my love. We’re all in this together and fingers crossed we cross each others paths in the future in the industry 💙💙
Ted Lasso: It really is good that you are actively searching for who you really are. You’re still so young that you might actually have a few more years of experiences to experience and judge before you develop into your true self. Many of us “fake it til you make it,” but the smartest thing to do is to keep checking in with yourself to make sure you have ended up where you really want to be in your life and course correct as necessary. Keep it up and I’m sure you will be successful in life.
I'm at the 21 minute mark btw, and I love this Will. I'm an Theatre Graduate (acting sequence) and a lot of what you shared in this video resonates with me. I quit before I ever got rolling so I have no cool industry stories or name drops for you, but what I can tell you is that you're right. There's nothing like the bond between fellow actors. Hold onto that. Create a space outside the classroom where you can continue the bond. Create a theater company or workshop with classmates where you can work on material so that when you finally get home it doesn't feel like such a drop off. Secondly, yeah real world job interviews become a breeze after the experience. Being in a room with two people asking you work interview questions for 20 minutes becomes nothing compared to having to perform Shakespeare in front of five hundred people for two hours seven days a week. So I feel that. Anyhow my apologies for being so verbose with this comment. Keep cracking on you rock star and btw I love your American character in Nottingham series and I love that show. Shout out to the Soundwav Cinema crew from your American Acting brother from across the pond 🏴🇺🇲💪
bit of a different video..
Popular guy. Keep fighting the good fight. Youre gonna be a star kid 😉🌠
