I also had a bad experience with a platinum 3776 from Amazon and found out that those may be just fake! I also returned mine! I love the one from an authorized dealer and never have issues! That KWZ green gold is sooooo gorgeous! 🤩🖋🌼

You can clean that area of the pen. I found a couple videos where you can twist it off and clean inside the grip section. I did that with one of my sailor pens with no issues. I followed the Pen Venture youtube channel (Disassemble Guide). I was willing to take the risk and I was careful, and I'm so glad I did.
