Great conversation! The Grateful Dead drummers talk about drumming in the same way. As a concert participant, it is an incredibly unifying and ecstatic experience.
i am not a meditator by any means but lately i have been listening to the familiar and i think ancient sounds of birdcall from my childhood and now againrepeating itself in my old age...aside from the elements themselves, the watter and wind and storms, etc, this birdcall and familiarity throughout my lifetime IS the most spiritual aspect of my being alive...and it requires of me nothing more than having the ears and mind to be aware of this recurring moment
