    I love that tactic of continually putting the hand in the face as a distraction both in tandem with the continual switching of the blade and as an adjunct to kicking. Seems super functional. Thanks as always for sharing. Your generosity is appreciated. Cheers! S.

    Basili, have you ever seen, karate shotokan kata called Empi, beginning moves, are they same principle here?

    • @DanteBasili
      @DanteBasili  3 года назад +1

      Hi Gray, I saw Empi and the first movement seems more similar to the "sixth way" rather than this one which is the "fourth way". Can you send me some links where Empi is applied?

      This is a teacher in USA called David gimbaline, he applies his karate in some interesting ways abit different than standard karate. In your videos I can see the karate movements, but obviously, karate came much later.

    Thank you Dante for sharing with us again something from this unique and rare style of boxing.
    And also for kindly, and gently emphasizing the great importance of knee, ankle and hip health. As some martial artist grow older they will develop problems with the plantar fascia, or the patellar tendon, the tibialis, and or the hip flexors. The simple Bat exercise is a worthy jewel to obtain and treasure. I will keep you posted on my own progress, or otherwise, with the arthrosis, and tendonosis, and other joint afflictions I have been suffering these last three years. My nutritional and herbal supplementation will take at least a year to honestly assess. You have been doing something right. Your mobility is inspiring. I am currenty experimenting with curcumenoids, and glucosamine, etcetera.
    All the best.

      Hi Sifu Stefan! Joint problems are a common issue for older Martial Artists (I'm 65) glucosamine will help as long as the joint isn't to worn. I've had both a knee and hip replacement (I hope you don't have to go through that) But even if you do it only means it's time to take it a little slower with more caution. Us few Martial Artist that still Teach into are 60's are in for life! As for Master Dante He's a rare gem that seems to have found the famous Fountian of youth. Peace and Happiness' always!

    Very good demonstration! I think that dragon style is definitely an underrated style of Kung Fu. I've just started Bak Mei kung-fu classes and they teach you the first 3 forms of dragon style first before they teach you any bak mei. I've just learned Suk Luk tong and the applications in that are very effective.

    Peoples alway said Kungfus is useless (7:18 RIP My Ball) but they forgot that Tradition Kungfus alway train Barehands Mix weapons and it scary tactic of weapon like knife using in this video even more Scary than Leon S kennedy or Snake in Metal gear in CQC Knife figthing in the game. Modern Knife user cant be Compare to Traditonal Knife user from the Past because It Rare for peoples in modern day to Understand how they fight or they never seen it before. In 1 v 1 Bare hands maybe you can defeat kungfu fighter but when they using weapons Tactic to you like Knife ETC. that can happen in street or thug as you will never seen it coming. (it very Rare to see someone using knife like that even in the game cutscence because Characters dont know kungfu) in game we just seen a flashy moves that dont work in real life (Fictional Characters still had Superhuman Speed)

      Problem is people think if its not so good in the ring its useless. In the ring the things you can do becomes extremely limited. It's not really doing the styles justice especially considering they aren't trying to rip anyone's eyes out or balls off let alone kill people in the ring. It's a completely different world

    Cooperative movement patterns are of limited value. Not abiding by real world distancing and perturbance from encountering force loads makes your practice of little practical value. Definitely not Lung Ying (Ng Mui's hand).

Le ho.fatte personalmente per anni negli anni '80 ma, ho compreso che bisognava cambiare con qualcosa di efficace andando in Cina dove non esistono.
