- We're back at the UK Scale Nationals with my overland FMS FCX18 Toyota LC80 to take on Trail 1 of the mini crawler course. That crawler course is perfectly built for a 1/18 and it looked like a lot of fun.
Yeah it was great fun, quite challenging as well tbh. It's a great event in general for all size rigs, as there are bigger sections for larger rigs too. 👍

my favourite colour lc80 and it looks awesome with all the scale accessories up top and it too that course in its stride no probs. great footage mate, really enjoyed that with my morning coffee.

No doubt it's the best mini crawler money can buy now. Blue was my favorite but now I started liking the yellow more!
Yeah I really like the blue, but yeah the yellow is growing on me too. Looks even better in person.
I think the blue looks more scale, but the yellow looks nicer. 👍
Definitely the best scale mini crawler on the market, wipes the floor with the trx4m. I just bought the trx4m high trail...not impressed tbh! 😬

@@DoURC I've gone to to order it and appliance electronics have but the bloody price up since last night. It was for sale with discount code at £512. Now it's up to £539. Yet ever other traxxas product still has the discount 🤬

Helluva of job driving this course and amazing video footage. If you don't mind me asking, what are you using to records and do you have it mounted somewhere? Im looking to do some of my own videos but i find it very challenging drive and record.

This one was just for fun, so no rules. Comps have different rules, but I don't do them so couldn't tell you sorry. 👍

Just the foams that came with the Injora Comp Pin tyres. 👍 I quite like the Injora foams that come with their tyres.
I'm new to the hobby, was not expecting that dip in the water at 4.5 minutes, is this rig waterproof out the box or is urs modded? Thanks, great driving

No it's not waterproof, but I've found it's just the power switch which is an issue, delete that and problem solved. 👍
@@DoURC good to know cheers, when I used to fly racing drones we would cover our electrics in conformal coating, brushless motors are naturally waterproof, but I don't know if brushed is any different

@billiwhizz221 Yeah it was definitely harder. I think in some ways some sections were better suited to a 24th scale, as some were a bit tight with a fully loaded 18th scale! 😬🤣
Hi there, my fcx18 would not hold itself and roll down at the steep ground when in 2nd gear even at 100% drag brake. Is this normal for the rc? (1st gear works fine)
Yeah that's normal, second gear is designed for faster trailing. If you're crawling where you need the drag brake, pop it back into first. 👍
