- In this video, I am taking you on a full tour of one of the affordable local area to live in Bangkok, Thailand. Udom Suk is a district located in Bangna District. It’s known for being a relatively quiet and residential area compared to the bustling central parts of the city. It’s a good spot if you're looking for a more laid-back experience of Bangkok, with easy access to the more vibrant parts of the city via the BTS.

Great video Ying!
Thank you Jim 🙏😊😇
Enjoyed this walk through Udom Suk, thank you 🙏🏾🤩
8:10 I mean, a gas station is important if you LIVE there ^_^
I have lived on udomsuk for 6 years. I live close to 58 udomsuk. Condos are from 6-8,000 for 1 bedroom and 10,000-15,000 for 2 bedrooms. Totally love the area. Plenty of shopping in malls or street markets. Also plenty of places to get alcoholic drinks. I love the people of udomsuk so friendly. I don’t have many expat friends but there are some, but the locals I have many friends. We can’t hold conversations without my Thai wife being with me but I love them and they love me.
I was in udomsuk last year I have a girlfriend from there. Udomsuk is a very good place
While i can still afford my on nut condo, I’m thinking of moving to a cheaper place just to afford more travel
This is an excellent overview of Udom Suk. Would be great to see inside some of the local apartment offerings in a future video. Let's hope the expats don't move in en masse and increase prices for the locals.
I love udon suk when I visit have to come again
great job ying one of your best would like to have a condo tour of that area and cost next please beautiful as always roger from united states
Hi Ying, Thank you for another helpful video. I'm in the process of building my location independent business and making a possible move to Bangkok to take advantage of the quality of life there in Thailand. I've got a holiday booked to come to Bangkok in September. I can't wait to visit! Will check this area out as well as Onnut and some other areas you've shown in other videos.
Hey Ying, that's a very nice presentation of the local areas,i hope you can show more, take care.
There are not a lot of farangs in Udom Suk area, at least I have not seen. Really like Udom Suk, recommend to speak a little Thai if thinking staying in the area.
I never been to Thailand what do you recommend to go the first time?
Hmm maybe around Sukhumvit area
❤😊🙏🇺🇸😇
Ying is a Beaut ❤
Sukhumvit Road is really long. I’m waiting for BTS to show up in Chonburi, the next budget neighborhood. 55
Good information video. And good ideas for apartments and prices
Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you soo much .. very insightful .
i lived udom suk for 6 months ,if u around 30 years old or 20s , its boring asf , true digital park is there but thats it , for young ppl , i wouldn't suggest it , its more for older families to me , your not going to hop on that 30-45 minute super crowed BTS to Nana or asok and back , live more towards the center , i paid 10,000 baht , food everywhere but no fun , i was at Elio , which she showed 7:56 min in the video , central bangna is a big mall thats 15 min ride from there , i think its ok to live in a relax area like that , but relaxed soon turn to boring after awhile and it comes back to bite u
Thank you so much now I know which district is more quiet in Bangkok and where price are cheap
Awesome video Ying, thanks for showing one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Bangkok! I did a video review of the Khun Yim Udom Suk market on my channel a few months ago. Such amazing value for money 😊
Hello, great video! Wanted to go to visit Thailand this year but did not get to because of family problems. Hopefully I can come visit this area because I plan to retire in Thailand in the future. Currently looking at the DTV Destination Thai Visa for expats and maybe I can arrive in BKK sooner. Appreciate you showing future expats on where they can live.
Very good information! Thank you!$
Hi ying. How much are one to one or group Muay Thai classes in Bangkok. Any recommendations??👍

Haha thank you 😊 🙌
But don’t flirt too much. I think she has a bf. 😜
Very informative ❤
I lived in udom suk a few years ago. its ok but quite boring. A plus is the skywalk down to bang na. good for exercise at night.
where do you recommend?
@@R-sn1ty depends what you want
@@vikingvic walkability, convenience
@@R-sn1ty most places really. including udom suk
Ying, great job as usual, Always love watching your videos, GREAT CONTENT
Thank you 😊
Excellent walk Ying! Thanks for sharing. I need to check out this neighborhood.
Thanks for watching 🙌🙏😊
Ying forever young!
🤗
Hi Ying
I am enjoying your videos very much! I am an American in USA looking forward to retirement in Thailand next year. I was hoping you could write the prices in USD that helps us to understand the cost in our dollars.. that being said I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work! Also I am 58 and widowed and I am very interested in meeting a Thai woman over 40. If you could do a video on how us old USA guys go about meeting a future Thai wife or girl friend I would really appreciate it… I’m sure it would get a lot of views! Thanks again Tom !
Hi 😊 thank you for watching 🫶 I’ll do that next time ✌️
dont tell everyone about udom suk....keep it a secret.
❤ nice presentation
Hi Ying! Last November, I stayed at the Ideo Mobi Sukhumvit Eastgate condominium in Bang Na. Udom Suk was only one BTS stop away but I never got the opportunity to walk around that area. I will be back in Bangkok this October but I will be staying in the Nonthaburi area. Thank you for the vlog!
Bangna is also nice 😊 Welcome back to 🇹🇭 🫶
After watching your videos of the various areas of Bangkok, I've got no desire to visit or live there. If this is one of the quieter and laid back areas, I'd hate to see the busier ones. The noise and hustle and bustle would drive me crazy. I've yet to see any parklands.
I've been to New York, and absolutely loved it. It's not nearly as manic as Bangkok appears to be.
Bangkok is no different than New York City. There are quiet areas and busy areas.
Do foreigners need a visa to live there? Is there a time limit to stay on passport? If allowed to live in that country can foreigners able to own and drive motorcycles or cars? Is it easy to do money transfer/transactions from USA banks to banks there? I have lived abroad USA mostly South America and having thoughts of maybe moving to Thailand 🇹🇭 Philippines 🇵🇭.
Definitely you need a visa for living in Bangkok 🙌 and yeah can drive a bike and car here also 🙂
Walking and highlighting the amenities around shows you are ahead of the curve cause most vloggers only show the condo facilities which is standard and lazy. Nearby food is really important. Great lighting and audio. Cameraman may consider having the mic hung round the neck to free up the hand. Rode mics are high end and will still give you great audio round the neck. Just do some research. Ultimately its your decision.
Thanks for the tips 😊🫶
Thank you for making & sharing this vlog!
Bangkok is a huge city, but most vloggers focus only on a very small part of it. I hope that you will continue to explore other areas, away from central and the tourist/expat areas.
If you are open to suggestions/requests for other areas to feature on future vlogs, I am hoping that you can show neighborhoods located along the Chao Phraya, which are accessible by the Chao Phraya Express Boat (one of my favorite ways of getting around Bangkok - cheaper than BTS & no traffic jams).
Perhaps you can also discuss the diffferences between renting houses, condos or apartments, in Bangkok. Personally, I would prefer to rent an apartment - not a condo nor a house. But, everyone has different housing requirements & priorities, so it is good to know about all of the possible options.
Thank you for watching and your comments 🫶 I’m going to make more with local places 🥳 thanks for your great advice 🙏
Great video. I like getting a Thai perspective on good neighborhoods. Congratulations on the new channel name. I suggested Ying Fling during the livestream. 😔 😂🙏
Thank you for watching 😊
Ohh Ying Fling 😀 thanks thanks
Like, like, like, you know, like, like, like.
Trying to improve 🙏
Nice response@@yinginthailand
Your exaggeration is not accurate
Nice compilation
Sawadee Kra! Great content and information. I also enjoyed your last Live Stream.
Ka Pun Ka
Thank you 😊
That was cute
thanks, Ying i love seeing and exploring different parts of Bangkok maybe next time try and add some prices of the condos apart from that it was amazing you looked suay mak mak too 😊
Thank you for watching 🫶😊
Very good video. It’s nice that you show something I have not seen anyone else show 🙂
Thank you 😊
Problem of udom suk is that until now there isnt a lotus or big c and shopping malls, that s why not sure to live there
Yeah I agree but not sure if they consider it as like lotus and big c are already available in Onnut which is very close. But really not sure maybe they will have in the future 🙌
Very nice and informative video! Lovely
Thank you so much 😊
You looking very old
That fresh market next to the BTS station really makes the area desirable. If you live close to the BTS station then you are never far from central Bangkok.
lol i lived there at elio at 7:56 min , you are definitely far from downtown area , your not going to want to hop on that crowded BTS everyday for 30-45 min , trust me
@@brooklyn6264 I lived in Phra Khanong for 6 years. I know the BTS and travel times. If I wanted someplace a little cheaper and a little more Thai then Udom Suk comes to mind.
@@martypoll yea in Elio i payed 10,000 for studio condo , just seen u got a girlfriend, having fun , nightlight might not be for u anyway , so then i would suggest udom suk too
Thanks Ying! I learn about Bangkok every time you post. Your live stream was fun !!!
Good video!!
Hello, it would be nice if you organized to give food to the homeless in your community. Try to collect donations for your community and if you accept this challenge I would like to help you.
It would be a good deed.
good luck to you!!
Hi 🤗 thank you so much for watching and your comment.
I’ll consider about that. Great advice 🥳
