@@shaungooch1766 Your point that women who bring up money only come from bar zones isn't 100% true! Many dating sites are full of women only looking for money. Many so called regular or so called normal Thai women the only reason they would date a western guy is for money. Probably over 60 % of Thai women who date foreigner is for money or a free holiday in the west The term เมียฝรั่ง / wife of a foreigner comes with a lot of stigma in Thailand. Also they get a lot of pressure from family or people in the village when it's known they have a foreign boy friend such as when is he going to build a house buy a car or truck! If the foreigner doesn't do it, the family or the people in the village then say WHY ARE YOU WITH HIM! I've talked with many Thai people and most Thai people have told me the main reason Thai women date foreigners is for money. I have had this conversation in Thai with farmers to educated Thai people who have lived in the west as well.
My wife is Thai, she is amazing. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her. You right on about the communication piece, though (9 min in). That was a problem we had early in our relationship. Almost ended ours. She couldn't tell me as an American what was bothering her and expected me to know. The reserved nature. Can't speak worldwide, but in my dating experience.

I am happily married 15 years. The big problem is the foreign men look in the wrong places. I know dozens of Thai women and every one is honest. A tip for foreign men dont expect massage girls or freelancers to be good partners.
I agree as a foreigner. I visited many countries and always go the tourist way. I guess as a 1st time to your country traveler that's what you do. The cultures are often so different that it takes more time to understand each other when a relationship evolves
You only need to learn a few verbs, nouns, and pronouns. Also numbers, days of the week. Having the basics you can fill it in with nodding, pointing, It always helps when you say hello, thank-you, etc in the host language. I got through France, a snooty country with essentially four words Bon Jour, Merci, Avez-vous, and ou est. Avez-vouz means have you, so i would walk into a shop and say: Bon Jour, avez-vous milk. As long as the first word is french you are good. No one likes to be talked by a stranger in their own country in a foriegn langauage. Ou est means where is, so I would say Ou est le bathroom.
The advice given is a one-way street (it's all about you); however, in reality, a good relationship is a two-way street. It's about mutual service and support. If I continually give and give while you only take and take, eventually, the giver will feel unappreciated and depleted. This imbalance can lead to frustration and resentment, ultimately causing the giver to withdraw from the relationship. Healthy relationships require effort and contribution from both sides to thrive and sustain mutual respect and satisfaction.
I agree completely. A good relationship should involve both people supporting each other. It's important to understand that each person may contribute in different ways. Recognizing and appreciating these differences helps maintain balance and respect. When both partners feel valued for their efforts, the relationship can thrive with mutual satisfaction. Thank you for watching 😊🫶🏻
Reciprocal is the word. A relationship dies without effort and love. Ask youself, do I continually show love in my words and attitude and service (I'm not talking about sex here, but that's good too. Manly to show you care). Do you value your partner? Do you do positive reinforcement...show appreciation and thanks.
Nice video, your advice is good even if you're already committed to a long relationship. I started dating a Thai lady 21 years ago and we've now been married 19 years. Trust, kindness and consideration are very important parts of our marriage. We now live most of the year in Hawaii but spends about 3 months the year in Thailand. I hope you two find your prince Charming, best of luck.
"Life is hard enough, the person that you're with should be your comfort..." Thoughtfulness and perspectives like that is why I'm planning on coming to Thailand! Thanks for sharing 😊
Ying, from my understanding you are (or were) also in a relationship with a foreigner so it would also be interesting to hear your insight on the matter.
It is not uncommon for a relationship to run its course and you realize you would like more in a relationship. It doesn't have to end bad, you just realize you need more.
I'd be more than honored and delighted to meet charming Su to convince her that cultural.obstacles can be overcome and that a foreigner can respect her sensitivity...😊

Here's a tip to you Thai girls. The girl on the right in the denim shorts held onto her phone during the entire interview. When you go out with a farang, put your phone away. Turn it off. Don't hold onto it. If you cannot live without playing with your mobile, you will never have a good relationship with farang.
to do decent interview you can't remember everything beforehand so it's like notepad to not forget important topics that Ying prepared I believe. Phones during dates are some different topic
I like to be friends with Thai girls, but they are (in my experience) to shy when it comes to sex, and talking about difficult/sensitive subjects. But I do love the culture and religion in Thailand, and how it makes most people behave nice, polite and friendly - That is something we sorely lack in the West.
@@sstp703 Thank you. I’ve watched lots of videos and the place looks amazing. The people also seem very friendly and kind. You came across as very friendly, loyal and kind. Also very beautiful. Have you been to England before?
One of the big tricks about it is the way people can be different if they change company. Being with a particular person is about compatibility in a bigger sense than just whether they suit you or you find them attractive, they don't necessarily see you the way you do and that can easily bring down a relationship. When we are young, we can easily be told to act in a different way but as we become confident and are happy in the way we behave it is hurtful if the person you are with is not happy about it, and means you have different values and don't necessarily think the same things are good or the same things are bad, which can be a problem. You must have similar moral values, you cannot be in a relationship doing things the other person thinks are wrong, or when you do something good the other person doesn't think so. This becomes the most important thing eventually, if you are to stay together.
First time i watched a utube channel like this, clicked on it out of curiosity. But it was really interesting and you both made me smile with your outlook in thailand for other people. Keep up the great work Ying, first time for me to think...yes this interesting and continually smiled at your comments! Regards, John...
Hi Ying! Nice video like usually!!! Keep the videos coming. I have two comments: 1) about the Thai ladies asking for money scenario. Of course, most foreign men who come to Thailand for short period of time, like holiday etc., will first interact with bar girls ofrfreelance girls...and the moany questions is just how it is. of course they will ask for money...and if foreigners interact only with these kind of ladies, they will have a different experience, and will draw some fast conclusion. 2) when it comes to genuine relationships between Thai lady and forigner man, I think the biggest problem in the culture and tradition. In the West, specially in the cities there is no more culture and tradition, or if it is is very week; on the other hand the Thai culture and tradition is very strong, and in top of that Thailand was never colonized by western countries ( like was the case with Viethnam, Laos, Malayesia, or other countries), which make the Thai culture very closed and strong. So, now image a relationship between a westerner and a Thai lady: the man with almost no traditions and culture, except the freedom of doing how he please and a Thai lady representing centuries of culture and tradition. It is not easy, and I think this is the biggest challenge.
I do agree 💯 🙌 However as a new generation, we kind of like more open to understand foreigners as well, try to change the way of thinking but in a good way. I can say that we are not so conservative like our parents if that makes sense hehe Thank you so much for your comment 🫶😊

Hi Ying, Good job for the video that I enjoyed as usual. As for a point whether a Thai person would like foreigners to speak Thai, I guess Thai person wouldn't like for a foreigner speak Thai only if such Thai person have some kind of plans to manipulate foreigners. Otherwise I agree in general that people in the world would enjoy having any foreigner trying to talk in their local language.
I think a big problem is about foreign men dating thai ladies, which come mostly to thailand for holidays and think with money they can buy everything, included a relationship. I have seen so many stories in these years personally, where foreigners pay for the thai lady holiday back in europe for example, or ask her to quit job to stay with her, propose a salary more than her salary, and these girls accept eventually, buy her a house, and do everything to show off. Foreign men in thailand they work remote, have a free time always and want a girl willing to do same so here come the money offered to them. So when a normal guy comes after, they will expect the same.
It's usually not a good idea to date a woman who already had farang experience. You'll have to live up and exceed expectations that some other dude has set.
I call total bs on the money thing. What’s investing in a relationship? You see how careful she was trying not to say no money no honey. It’s always about the money. Investing in a relationship means buying them nice cloths, taking them to nice restaurants, going on vacations, taking them shopping and sending them to the spas and salons. How’s that not wanting your money 555. It’s always about the money and any woman from any culture who says otherwise is LYING.
When I was there for a month, not one girl asked me for money. Thai women are nice to be with, respectful, with good sense 🙏🏽 I need to book a flight back 🫶

The best advice came right at the end. You have to be a good listener to have a good relationship. You also missed a very important piece of advice.... you have to keep a Thai woman well fed ! I happy Thai lady is one with a full belly ! I am speaking with 15 years of experience 🤪
You and your friend are in Bangkok. You and your friends are likely all well educated and well off by Thai standards. When you say that Thai women aren't after foreigners' money, that may be true for most of the people you know. Away from Bangkok, things are dramatically different.
I have a new Thai girlfriend, and I always try to remember the reasons why my previous relationship with a Thai woman failed. I made many mistakes and this video is a great reminder to me of what I should do. So much is about the difference in culture and language.

Thank you for a very informative video you both speak good English and I want to ask for your advice about best places to meet nice Thai ladies speaking good English
I think the key is you need to take it slow at the beginning to get to know them first. Try not to jump in to a relationship too quickly. And i think you can find them anywhere especially in BKK. Lots of people speak English. Hope you find one soon and thank you for watching 😊
I'm married to two Thai women. One is very western and one is very Thai with no western experiences. Although I am biculturally Thai and am fluent in Thai, I would recommend that being with someone at least familiar with your own western culture, or at least the western way of looking at life is easier. You will be surprised how different Thai and Western perceptions are....omg
If you're silent because you're mad. Of course a foreigner will need you to say why. Communication is key in a relationship. It's not necessarily a cultural difference, that happens in all relationships that lack communication.
I have always been amazed at the fact that a young beautiful woman can so easily start a relationship with sometimes a retired man. Actually not really surprised, because when a foreigner comes to Thailand, his standard of living is higher than the average Thai. Which can mean a future perspective for many young women. For the man who went there alone, it means a simple bond with a beautiful young woman, without much effort. Because in fact it has nothing to do with love. Often they hardly understand each other and an emotional bond, which you would expect in a relationship, is not present. After all, if the woman does not meet the expectation, the man will look for another who is easier. I follow many bloggers, purely out of psychological interest. the blogger with the camera who often points the camera at the women, while his wife walks past him. From which my observation concludes that despite his youthful beautiful wife, he is still searching. Many men go to Thailand because of the search for a beautiful young woman. Not to explore the country. And because they are men from Western countries, pensioners for example, they can live from their pension. Which is many times higher than the income of women in Thailand. So they are rich in their eyes, but in the West they would be normal men with a low or average income. Of course there are exceptions. If a Thai woman comes with her to the country of origin of the man, she will see that wealth does not correspond to the expectation when they met each other in Thailand. Another comment about cultures. I am from the Netherlands, but I do not find the Thai woman more jealous than a Western woman. Men who cheat in a relationship often lose their partner because of this. Talking to your ex is not a mortal sin or reason for jealous looks, if there are children involved. After all, the children belong to both of you and need contact now and then. It is nice if the new girlfriend is involved. Because she also gets to know his children. For me, 'love' would always be the most important relationship requirement. No good 'click' is no guarantee for a successful relationship, or it would be purely financial or intimate satisfaction.
Ying you are such a queen standing next to her. For me being yourself, opening up, is the greatest sign of trust. This may take a long time but I am willing to spend this time to find a good relationship ^_^
I was in a long-distance relationship with a Thai woman for three years. Although she never asked me for money, I did feel resentment from her that I wasn't sending her monthly support. She had a great job as an HR manager with the Thai government and owned her own house so I didn't think she needed the monetary support. Occasionally, my ex-girlfriend would tell me about her friends who were getting money from their foreign boyfriends but never directly complained that I was not doing the same. I eventually broke off the relationship when her resentment turned into frequent petty arguments unrelated to money. I chose not to send her money because we were in a long-distance relationship and at any time she could break up with me for another man, and I would be out all of the money that was sent to her! If we lived together in Thailand, I would contribute money to help her better her life.
@@mancello Yes, I went to see her in Thailand twice, each time for one month. I met her shortly after Covid started so I could not travel as much to Thailand from the USA. I could not quarantine at a hotel for 2 weeks in Thailand. We spoke everyday on video chat on the LINE app. We met in person on the second and third year after we met.
@@kevinp8108 Even if a Thai woman has a college degree and a good job, she still generally is not being paid very much since wages in Thailand are quite low, especially compared to the West. If you get involved with the Thai woman, you're going to be expected to help her out and perhaps even help out her family financially. It's just the way it is in Asian countries and especially in Thailand.
It’s understandable that you felt uncertain about sending money. Trust and clear communication are so crucial in these kinds of situations and sorry it didn’t work out 🥲 Thank you for watching and sharing your experience.
I have never met a Thai girl who wanted my money. Quite the opposite, in fact. All of the Thai girls I have spent time with were quite generous, and never asked for a single thing from me. I think that some men are just chasing the wrong types of girls (bar girls) & looking for love in the wrong places (Pattaya). This is just my opinion, so please feel free to disagree, ignore what I say, and move on! :) Thanks, again, Ying, for the interesting content!

From what I've noticed, if foreigners are using dating sites, there are lots of "freelancers" on them which might contribute to the "they just want our money" view.
I had a six month long distance relationship with Thai lady, mid 30s, met twice. She had good government job. Six months, then she asked for monthly allowance ! So even though supposed normal thai lady (not from entertainment sector), still became money issue. I ended that relationship. She was originally from Issan region, which seems to be money focused in Thai / Falang relationship. Maybe other parts of Thailand not so money focused in relationship ?
Very good video and a wonderful environment - I love Lumphini Park. With two failed marriages with thai-women behind me I agree fully with what you say: You have to invest in the relation. Regarding that, we fell behind in both cases and got unfair consequences. But life is about learning, now I know what I want, have set a high standard and I am ready to invest . but NOT on a dating site.

9:11 As a foreigner I think we can understand our girlfriend is mad when she's too quite. It's just that we are used to enjoy that moment and not questioning to not start the fire and have not to deal with the usual standard answer "nothing" (pretty intercultural one imo)
When I visited Thailand I realised that the women their that I met where very nice and I wouldn't say the only want your money but I do under that some will ask for money but generally those are women who work in industries that benifit from foreign men on holiday. In my case I went to regular bars and clubs and met some really good women and they never asked me for anything, I even had some good experiences with them and I have a woman that I still have contact with on daily basis. We had a great time together with her friend and I never felt like I needed to buy or pay for them. I will say some will take advantage of you if your the type to simp over them but generally it's your fault for being so overly generous and not setting boundaries.
Su seems to be quite a catch. I'm interested in the future possibility of a teaching job. I am a retired nurse and looking forward to settling over there. I have a few medical conditions that restricted my ability to continue Nursing. Any advice or contact info would be greatly appreciated.
Right now, people are only hearing things on youtube about Thailand bar girls that they only want your money. I haven't seen anything about Thai girls until now. That wasn't about bar girls. I'd like to see more interviews that you're doing.Keep it up I like what you're doing.
From experiencing ten years of relationshio thai/farang i would say there are no worse gaps but the silent treatment. Just not acceptable so i broke up. Connected again and happened again so i broke up again.
It sounds like you've had some rough experiences especially dealing with the silent treatment. When someone goes silent, it could indicate they might not want to continue the relationship or find it hard to talk about things. But anyway it’s important to talk openly about these issues to make sure both people feel heard and respected. Sorry it didn’t work out. 😢 Also thank you for watching.
Reciprocal is the word. A relationship dies without effort and love. Ask youself, do I continually show love in my words and attitude and service (I'm not talking about sex here, but that's good too. Why is this confusing to her? Those dudes writing those comments are only dealing with the S#x tourism scene, and so that's all they can comment on - the girls connected to that scene. But these 2 ladies obviously realize that probably 90% of foreigners come to Thailand for that scene, right? So there is no confusion about why they got the idea about "Thai women and money". Anyway, I appreciate how smart and sophisticated these ladies are, and that they made this video,. I live in Japan, and these facts are global. Culture differences are real, and you have to really commit to expanding your mind and patience to date internationally, especially in terms of marriage.
Now that I live here, I find that Thai women who speak English ( have tattoos, post sexy pics on IG, etc. ) are a minority and are not traditional Thai women. The majority of Thai women who are traditional and what most Western men are looking for do not speak English ( and that's why I'm learning Thai )
thank you, two very lovely sweet thai girls. About the comment on money, thought the commenter was unkind and maybe even bitter about some bad experiences he might have had. The fact that he thinks all thai are unworthy of friendship tells me he hasn't experienced thai people from all over thailand, except maybe as you say bargirl types. But I do agree with him on the money point. I have had serious relationships with two Isaan women, one of which I know is a know is a good quality person, kind, respectful, loyal, strong morals. Both of them definitely expected to be financially supported, even when first dating. There are many women in Isaan who feel that farang should be giving them a salary like, 10,000-25,000 BHT. My current gf says it is thai culture for the man to take care of the woman. Maybe in BKK or Chiang Mai, places with better economic opportunities, it is different, but my honest experience with two normal thai women is that they expect to be financially supported.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with Thai women from Isaan and their expectations about financial support in relationships. I think in any relationship, it's crucial for both people to contribute. However, everyone has their own values and expectations, so that needs a discussion for mutual understanding. And not all Thai men can support their partners financially in that way either and that’s understandable. Every relationship is different. Thank you for watching and thanks again for sharing your perspective. I hope your current relationship works out well for you😊🫶🏻

Love Thailand and Ying is Stunning
hi Ying, It's a very good sharing that help me learn about thai girl's thoughts ... actually I'm planning a trip to thailand for next year ...
I agree with what your friend is saying from my own experiences, but of course we are all different. Thanks for a well presented video.🙏

Thank you for sharing your story and kind words. Wishing you continued happiness in Hawaii and Thailand!😊🫶🏻

Ying, from my understanding you are (or were) also in a relationship with a foreigner so it would also be interesting to hear your insight on the matter.
I heard she got married to one but it didn't work out. :(
I have just joined your channel, and I can only say thank you very much for being open and genuine

I love my Thai wife she treats me like a king but I agree communication is huge very different cultures must be very patent with each other in the learning process
Wow Ying, your friend is very cute and she speaks English very well.
Interesting facts, even for me who is already happily married with a wonderful thai lady for 9 years now; I can only confirm anything you mention and still had some moments where I maybe didn't learn new things, but got at least remembered of some little things (mistakes?) I do in daily life, treating each other. Thanks for the very lovely and charming way of presentation! I will follow you on your channel for seeing more of your interesting content! Great job, Ying, and you and your friend are absolutely wonderful, too!
Thanks you so much for the beautiful video Ying i hope you to meet in BKK we can talk about many things

Yes of course little bit secret
Nice to watch and hear you girls, you are both very nice and intelligent wona's. Really good video :) warm regards from UK
I like to be friends with Thai girls, but they are (in my experience) to shy when it comes to sex, and talking about difficult/sensitive subjects. But I do love the culture and religion in Thailand, and how it makes most people behave nice, polite and friendly - That is something we sorely lack in the West.

Thanks for Your honesty 🙏
First time i watched a utube channel like this, clicked on it out of curiosity. But it was really interesting and you both made me smile with your outlook in thailand for other people.
I can say that we are not so conservative like our parents if that makes sense hehe
Thank you so much for your comment 🫶😊

Hi Ying, Good job for the video that I enjoyed as usual. As for a point whether a Thai person would like foreigners to speak Thai, I guess Thai person wouldn't like for a foreigner speak Thai only if such Thai person have some kind of plans to manipulate foreigners. Otherwise I agree in general that people in the world would enjoy having any foreigner trying to talk in their local language.
2 beautiful girls with very good hearts!
Thank you for sharing
I call total bs on the money thing. What’s investing in a relationship? You see how careful she was trying not to say no money no honey. It’s always about the money. Investing in a relationship means buying them nice cloths, taking them to nice restaurants, going on vacations, taking them shopping and sending them to the spas and salons. How’s that not wanting your money 555. It’s always about the money and any woman from any culture who says otherwise is LYING.
I gotta get back to bkk....walked around lumpini every day for 3 weeks. What a great area 🌺

Two cute Thai women talking about dating farang!
I'll marry Sue and Ying❤️
Thanks girls
Where is the link?
Ying you are such a queen standing next to her. For me being yourself, opening up, is the greatest sign of trust. This may take a long time but I am willing to spend this time to find a good relationship ^_^
Thank you for watching 🫶😊🙌
You never met her in person?
Trust and clear communication are so crucial in these kinds of situations and sorry it didn’t work out 🥲
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience.
Thanks, again, Ying, for the interesting content!

Good looking gals! I would date either one. 🥰

From experiencing ten years of relationshio thai/farang i would say there are no worse gaps but the silent treatment. Just not acceptable so i broke up. Connected again and happened again so i broke up again.
what did you expect? Silent treatment is part of SE Asian culture.
Also thank you for watching.

Hi Su
Why is this confusing to her? Those dudes writing those comments are only dealing with the S#x tourism scene, and so that's all they can comment on - the girls connected to that scene. But these 2 ladies obviously realize that probably 90% of foreigners come to Thailand for that scene, right? So there is no confusion about why they got the idea about "Thai women and money". Anyway, I appreciate how smart and sophisticated these ladies are, and that they made this video,. I live in Japan, and these facts are global. Culture differences are real, and you have to really commit to expanding your mind and patience to date internationally, especially in terms of marriage.
taking care = give money + others
Now that I live here, I find that Thai women who speak English ( have tattoos, post sexy pics on IG, etc. ) are a minority and are not traditional Thai women. The majority of Thai women who are traditional and what most Western men are looking for do not speak English ( and that's why I'm learning Thai )
Thai ladies are so slim and petite. 👍👍👍👍
You could try helping some Thai girls meet foreign men.
They never ask for money right away because many are smart now and play the long game
thank you, two very lovely sweet thai girls.
