This is the best advice I’ve seen on the internet. I think I’m a successful guy in nyc in banking and as somebody who is over a decade older than you my biggest regret in life is being too wound up when I was young and not having enough fun. Chill out, life is easier than you think, youth is fleeting. Buy the f*king coffee and eat those sardines!

For me it’s always to be grateful for what you have. Not saying don’t strive for better or don’t look for others for inspiration but it’s important not to lose sight of all the good things in your life no matter how big/small because human nature will always want something that they don’t have

I’m 38 years old and my ex fiancé died from cancer. I sat in my depression coma for a really long time and he’d be upset about that but oh well. I’m child free and have no attachments. I’m going back to school for a bs in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship If I can get a routine down so I can finish college and not have my ADHD ruin it, I’m moving to NYC. It was my dream as a 19 year old and is still giving me that itch at 38 so that really means I have to go.
Wow great principles! Already 30 and still in the way learning and adopting these principles, esp. recently I got stuck in something and feel stressful. "Take a step back and ask myself will this matter in 1 year? 5 years? "Then there is the answer. Love U❤

I absolutely agree with these, and you're lucky to have these convictions at such a young age. I wish I'd had this outlook when I was your age. ❤
That's so real. I spend so much money for food and coffee and many people told me to not! They always told me eating home and drinking coffee at home. But once they started go out eating they started to thank me because they woke up and realised that saving tons of money cannot give you fun and new experience. 😮❤
Always amazed at how wise your are for only being 26!. I really wish I had followed Principal 2 more in my youth. I spent my first decade post college absorbed in work and never really enjoying my youth. That's one regret I'll always have.

I just turned 56 on the 7th, so I'm 30 years older than you! You are *NOT* old! Definitely enjoy your youth while you can, cos honey it'll be gone before you know it. I don't know how the hell I got this old. I just graduated high school like 10 years ago ... or that's what it seems like!

Spending less time on social media will make you happier. Spend more in-person time with friends and meet new people. Trying new things, sports, hobbies, small concert venues, and walking in new neighborhoods (especially if you live in the city). Ignore "gurus", it will exhaust you. Spend on what makes you happy now - tomorrow is not guaranteed.

I really love your videos. They are comforting, cheerful and very down-to-earth, even though you are doing great job orchestrating the mood for videos vs usual life, obviously.
Principles mentioned are worthwhile, no doubt. But, unfortunately, there come periods… and suddenly your country is at war, your friends are dying, and there is no fluctuation on this mood, it’s endless black hole sucking you from inside wherever you are and whatever you do. Honestly, I was such in a good place 600 days ago, that now it seems surreal.
The only principle that survived with me these days - adjustability is all you need. Do small steps and don’t think about tomorrow.

i loved this!! can totally relate to all of these - especially when it comes to guilt free spending. At the end of the day, the $3 coffee that I grab most mornings gets me outside and out of my 600 sq ft apartment and it's one of the best parts of my day! i love visiting the people at my local coffee shop and sipping on something warm during a morning walk😊 a little spark of joy that gets you in a great headspace for the day is worth a little spending!

I'm your age Taylor and this video really resonated with me since I'm in a not so good spot right now. Don't have my future figured out, still living with my parents, albeit am earning money for myself. Your principal #1 in my case is 'that fucking PS5 on Black Friday', so I am definitely going to buy it and (try to) not feel bad about it. I swear when Taylor Swift released her 1989 TV album today, I immediately started listening to it because I'm a Swiftie. Then when you released a new video just a couple hours later, I immediately started watching it because I love to be a part of the turtle gang (I was gonna say because I'm a Bell...ly? 😂).
Anyways, by far, I think this is truly the most informative and pretty motivational video (I would say) you posted. All these life principles that you have may just help me change my life too. I guess it all boils down to just making the right decisions, work hard, be patient, trust the process, and at the same time, enjoy life.
