#ILOVETHEPC12 Two things I love about the PC12. 1. The ability to fly in and out of short and non-standard runways i.e. dirt, grass etc. 2. The range and payload capabilities. Keep the videos coming please!
Yes! I would love to do some more non-standard runway ops in it but that doesn’t really fit our mission. Short sometimes, but no grass yet.
Another successful flight in the "one of 2,000 PC-12's." I flew the series 9 and 10 about 1,500 hours and performed as a PC-12 CFI at SIM-COM Scottsdale, an EMS pilot, a corporate pilot, Part 135 Check Airman and company CFI. Great airplane to fly into all of the Lower 48 States that I have had the privilege of performing a smooth as silk Pilatus landing. If you respect it and learn the necessary limitations, it will always be a great way to travel. Longest flight was 1,484NM westbound and 6:31 aloft with a landing fuel of 590 lbs. Many of these airplanes will be flying 30,000+ hours and still be a viable form of transportation.
Yep I sure do love those silky landings! Do you remember what series that long flight was in? And what altitude and was it endurance power or max cruise? I’ve tried GSH-PHX which is 1339nm and was showing under 400lbs at landing so diverted. Or did you get lucky and have no wind that day?
#ILoveThePC12 Hi Grant. I passed my initial European PC-12 (NGX) checkride yesterday. There is soo much to love about the PC-12. The performance, the avionics but also the build quality and comfort.

#ILoveThePC12 I FREAKING love the PC12! I first fell in love with it when I was working with a aircraft detailing company. I instantly fell in love with the size of the cabin. It's perfect for a family airplane to take it wherever you want. I love how simple you make it when flying it. Probably one of my favorite things is the Honeywell Apex Primus Cockpit. It makes flying so much easier and streamlined lowering pilot workload. Also can't forget the engine start up noise, it brings joy to my heart. :)
The avionics are awesome and the cabin is great for carrying almost anything you want!

Hello!👋 I do a little contracting on the PC12 based at VPZ. 😁
Like it to, although not so local..Norwegian! Got my CPL Helicopters in Ontario Canada in 1988 and CPL Airplanes 1990 in Durango, Colorado and then went on being a pilot out of Myrtle Beach SC for 4 years before returning to Norway just when the change happened in aviation where there was to many pilots and to few jobs. Then went on to work as a ROV pilot on the floating oil rigs in the North Sea. Better pay and time off (2 weeks on and 4 weeks off with full pay) so I never returned to aviation :)Now at 60 and early retired I might buy a PC12 if I win the lotto :) and fly for fun.
Thanks for another amazing video. The PC-12 is a unique aircraft offering efficiency, comfort and safety. And the fact that there is a toilet on board is an unbeatable advantage, especially when traveling with kids on a long flight. Moms are certainly grateful for that. #ILoveThePC12

Another great video highlighting the mighty PC12. I think its wonderful that your company lets you take your family on trips. As far as the PC12 love, I love the roominess of the PC12 cockpit, at least it looks roomy based on the people you put in the front seat. Also, you make it look like its an easy FMS to operate with nice big screens. Thanks for the great footage!
It can be a bit of a maneuver to get into the cockpit, but once you’re in it’s very roomy!

Yeah just a bit out of range of what I could afford to own also!😂 But for it’s capabilities it’s incredibly efficient.
I was just speaking with a broker who recommended the PC12 last week. My favorite thing about it is how versatile it is as well as how it has a large cabin for passengers. All around it’s probably be the best turboprop built today in my opinion. #ILoveThePC12

Absolutely! I haven’t landed it on grass yet, but I took off from the ~2,300’ grass runway at GSH once. I was by myself and not terribly heavy and used about half the runway.

Yep and I learned there’s a bit of a limbo area. You may have noticed during the Timelapse that one of the controllers said “I thought you wanted 24.” Apparently nobody was controlling FL240 (for cruise altitude) in that area. He needed me lower, but the guy he handed me off to still needed me at an odd altitude and I didn’t want to go up to FL250 that day so he shipped me right back. 😂

Your sons question about descent and climb was my question as well but, when I am approaching an island when I am sailing I always have the sensation that I am descending even being on sea level and the opposite happens when I am leaving the place the sensation is to be going uphill, but its sailboat no harm at all, with a plane you dont have a second change to think about it if a mistake is made. Your videos are awesome. I am starting my PPL, and your videos show me where I want to be and reach this goal one day.

PS, Our Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) have many PC12's and a few PC24's
RFDS is an organization with an incredible record! I believe only two fatal accidents in its 95 year history!

I Love The PC-12! It is such a capable aircraft! you can cruise at FL280 and in the same flight you can approach to short grass runway with airspeed of 80 KIAS. It's a dream aircraft for someone with airline background, but still loving flying General Aviation❤ #ILoveThePC12

Very nice vlog with split screens, information from pilot and editing. Like the high speed video between takeoff and approach to. @@GrantBaker I have Pilatus flights flying over house full flaps setting up for 44N Sky Acres and KPOU Hudson Valley Airport. We are not far from PAWLING VOR. Just incase you travel in our direction. Meet for coffee or whatever.
Closest we’ve been is probably Danbury, CT but we don’t get up that way too often. I’d enjoy coffee if I do get up there sometime though!

Thanks! We haven’t landed on any unpaved runways, but the landing gear designed to soak up those bumps make every landing a greaser so we still benefit from that feature!
