Dude.... thank you for this video. I took my front tire to 3 different shops here in Portland and they all told me they couldn't do it. Some dish soap, bike levers, and some elbow grease and I was able to switch my tire with ease in about 20 minutes.

I love that ariel rider had the common sense to have a quick disconnect on the motor cable..i hope one day ride 1 up would do the same on the revv 1..good video by the way 👍🏽

I've watched several how to videos that didn't help and I called BS because they jump ahead an miss key steps. I kept looking and found yours. I had a front flat a couple hundred miles ago and got that fixed. But I got a dreaded rear flat and decided I would buy tires and liners. Ironically the same that you have. I'm an old man newbie with bikes. I don't mind getting dirty and I like the do it yourself stuff. This isn't the skinny tire mountain bike I'm used to changing tires on. The X-Class is the big kids toy I never bought before. But I had gotten so frustrated with breaking the tire levers trying to get the tire bead off just to get to the tube that I didn't dare try and take the whole tire off. Dejected and given up I patched the tube but couldn't get the tire back on the rim. Hours later, I used a metal spoon lever and scratched up my rim and still haven't gotten that on. I was about to resign myself to finding a repair shop and admitting that I can't change a tire. The bike that gave me so much joy, I parked and am missing days or good weather use. I am so glad I kept looking and found your channel. I'll get a set or levers like you have...and the MILK CRATE....OMG game changer. I can do this. Thank you. I can understand your videos and it isn't BS. You didn't jump way ahead and every step is clear and easy to follow. This is a way longer response than needed. I have subscribed to your channel. I'll share with others and I look forward to exploring your content.

@@RustyRoads I made my attempt yesterday and 30 minutes after starting, the rear wheel was off and changed out with tire/liner/tube and back on the bike. I felt so good that I did the same on the front tire as well. I used the touch up paint on some of the earlier scratches I left and cleaned the brake pads and disks while I was at it. The original tires were, like you said, a tight fit compared to the new Kendra tires. But with the milk crate, I had enough leverage to make it work. The hard plastic tire levels worked great and I found I only needed two of them to complete the task with extra dish soap. The time on partially inflating the tube before mounting was an obvious help as well. I am expecting with those liners to not need to change out the tires for at least another 1,000 miles or double what I got without them. Thank you. Cheers.

Hey don! The tires in this video are Kenda crusades, you can get them on Amazon when they're in stock which is a rarity nowadays. Checking daily helps. These are great tires, super light and great on all surfaces. Only downside is they are very thin since they are light and designed for e-bikes so make sure you get a patch kit and or liners. I'm thinking that I don't even need to carry a spare tube or a patch kit with this in the tires; just to bring my portable air compressor to air up the tires in the event of any leakage before the Flat Out stops the leak...I found out about Flat Out after I had already Slimed my tubes, so now I am going to replace both tubes & add Flat Out to the new tubes...Flat Out, if you are not familiar with it (#8 on Amazons Tire Repair Kits top 100) is formulated with Kevlar & seems to be Much more effective than Slime. Some very impressive reviews of Flat Out on RUclips, pounding huge spikes into tires, with the holes being immediately repaired ...What are your thoughts on this? @@AdamiIAm flat out sounds pretty awesome! I may look into it if I ever have to replace my tubes. My only concern with those additives is if you ever get a slash that flat out can't seal, but can possibly be patched, you might end up stranded or having to push your bike with one flat tire for miles. I've been on rides where slime wasn't working and since the slime was everywhere, it was impossible to add a patch. Think of it like trying to put a Band-Aid on a wound that won't stop bleeding. After that experience I just carry a patch kit a spare tube my tools and my portable pump. That way I can handle anything guaranteed. I do like the convenience but I've gotten patching a tube down to less than 10 minutes LOL 🐾

@@RustyRoads They seemed pretty good however I did end up getting a rear flat this past Sunday. Thin ass wire shot right through the tire, liner, and tube..... Nothing is 100% and I can see why such a thin wire could make it all the way through versus something a bit more blunt.
@@KILOALXE it would take a lot of slime. Might want take a look inside to make sure the liner is centered, and to see if it's bunched up where it overlaps

I just received mine today - but after the first ride realized the back tire became flat - and the whole bike wont fit in my car. So I went through the adventure of trying to get these bolts off, and let me tell you - they are HARD to get off. the 21 fits the size, but doesnt truly give you enough leverage to get it off. We tried many tools and different people - It was so tight I was wondering if we were going the wrong direction. but with enough effort, and the right sized bit for the socket wrench it finally worked

Hi and thanks for watching! It's either a 19 or 21 mm. You can use the wrenches that came with the bike, if it's too tight you can link 2 wrenches for more leverage

Front is 14mm, I believe the rear is 21 (maybe 19mm)
The bike comes with a small tool kit that has wrenches that will work
