i came to watch this video a year later after my comment. i see 10 likes on it. i did a mirra bmx tribute video wearing my full face. i am a 44 year old bmxer and i got tons of bmx videos on my youtube of me doing old school flatland and riding some fun parks over the last decade. if anyone wants to check it out. or search bmx time traveler or bmx of the illuminati for some videos doing old flat. bmx has been on my brain lately.
@@MOUNTAINOUS its been one year since your last post, are you still riding?? Im seriously curious, im 45 and try to skate when I can. It's hard when you get older!!
@@randyrodgers1265 of course i am riding still. i been making tons of videos over the last year. my flatland video i did last summer was tons of sick combos. soon i will do more bmx videos. etc. my video i did last summer at 48 was my best edit ever
I still can't believe Dave is gone. I feel for his family and I hope they are doing well. My son and I just bought a Mirraco Black Pearl and we are restoring it together. It's a sweet bike and we will think of Dave when we ride it.
BMX is always becoming more fast paced and technical, but something about old school style and flow will never get old. The biking world loses another great one, RIP Dave.
It's a shame that we can't truly appreciate someone's worth until they die. Dave kept riding even when the sport was considered dead. He brought bmx back to life and pushed it back to the forefront. It's an even bigger shame that there are kids riding bmx right now that don't know who he is! Come on man Dave Mirra is the reason any of them can ride for a living!
The first pro level bike I ever got was a mirra co. and now just knowing that the owner of my dream bike and the man who got me into bmx is just horrible...Rip mirra, you will be missed you f**king crazy legend man..
@2020fo He is very popular because he owns a very popular bmx company, has won many vert competitions and is an awesome park rider as well. He does not ride much street, if any.
Im 25 I remember being 12 Mirra, Hoffman, and Miron were the kings. Plus to me, anyone who can boost 7+ ft out of a quarter is pretty legit!! Vids dont do justice!!
@2020fo Dave Mirra is like Tony Hawk but for bmx. He is the only pro that I know who has made a million or more from the sport. Plus he had his own video game back in the day.
@hiphopfiend65 i agree, but there's also a kinda thrill you don't get in a park when you are riding something that wasn't even slightly built for riding on lol :)
@cowed77 My fav 5 In no particular order. Modern Riders... Tom Dugan Nathan Williams Aaron Ross Chase Hawk Drew Bezanson My top 5 favorite Oldschool Riders Matt Hoffman Dave Mirra (who still rides) Jay Miron Nyquist Mike Aitken (he's been in the game a long time) And if you dont like tonnes of tricks and just pure crazy watch some Sean Burns
@2020fo because he was doing half the stuff guys are doing now 10 years ago. yes the new school kids are better but guys like this and hoffman shaped the sport into what it is today.
So very sad to hear of his suicide! I've seen him when I worked The Dew Tour in PDX yrs ago . I didn't realize he had a daughter & his own line of bikes. It's even sadder after seeing this video & realizing that.
that machine is probubly a engine cleaner, it uses chemicals to clean engine parts, and the sometimes are used to take the paint off of the egine parts, basically, its a box with giant gloves attached to the inside of the box so whatever is in the box can't hurt you
@HumpinGrannys nice man, thanks for the headsup! been out of the 20inch thing for awhile now, i play ball these days. are there any good bmx websites to visit?
