Too many years. I like TK but they will regret making this deal I fear.
We always have cap issues, yet the team has zero superstars.
I think the amount is not bad, I just don't think the contract works long term for the Flyers. By the time the team is supposedly going to be competitive, he will be past his prime and become a salary anchor.
BONUS!
Should have traded him while he still had value. This team will forever be a joke.
Well, it could be worse?
Will we lose Michove after he makes his case after 3 years because we are bound to this guy?
TO LONG THESE CONTRACTS.
HE CAN LOSE HIS COOL AT TIMES
AND THATS CONCERNING.
So Travis Konecny will make $750K less per year than Nikita Kucherov. Another long term deal with a no movement clause for most of that time. Why are we here friends? Because we give elite contracts to mediocre talent.
Unfortunately you're probably exactly right. I oove the guy but he needs to score more than 30 goals a year for that money
@CJ-mb2ip money isn't even the issue. It's the terrible long term. They keep locking up mediocre guys like tippet, tk, samheim to disastrous long term untradable contracts.
@@Skkj0802Unfortunately not all Flyers fans see it as we do. I’ve listened to plenty of podcasts on the TK signing. It’s amazing how they try to spin this as a positive signing. He’s here for 9 years folks. 8 years starts in the 2025-26 season. He won’t age like whine. So in 5 years they won’t be able to move him or wave him because of the terms of his contract. And he’ll still have 4 years left at that point. So it will be another buy out. Dead money in cap Hell. Round and round we go.
too high too long. Agree that he is gonna lose speed....and thats about all he has. Trolling people on the ice and being smarmy isn't really a +
Ugh... over paid... too much money... the term is also too long. He'll be here until he is 35?...
Now they can try to trade him before the deal kicks in… just like they tried to do with Sanheim 😂😂😂😂
