"Khorn hates spell casters! "
Tzeench hero: "This" *casts blue fire of Tzeench* "is called the Kamehameha. It is a martial arts technique, and not a spell."
Followers of Khorn:"Seems legit."
And that is why Tzeench casters cause no penalty to Khorn authority.
Hilariously, this is the argument that Khornate Librarians make in 40k.
It's not magic, it's the sheer force of my will.
@@mewmeister8650 I mean, there's only one named Khorne Sorcerer in 40k as far as I know, and he's a bigger failure than Abbadon.
There’s letting yourself be a conduit of the winds of magic (Khorne thinks you’re a bitch)
Then there’s the Settra method, *WRESTLING THE FUCK OUT OF MAGIC UNTIL IT LISTENS LIKE THE LITTLE BITCH IT IS.*
@@raindrain1that’s saying something I’ve never heard of him what’s his name ?
@@forsakenparadise6828 Pretty sure it's the Blood Ravens' Chapter Master Azariah Kyras, but I might be misremembering.
My first Valkia campaign I just rushed south then got stomped 50 turns in because I didn’t have any dark fortresses. Lesson learned.
That's kind of the problem with all WoC lords, you want to take the entire north first really for enough dark fortresses to make good money before you go anywhere else
@@Barnesofthenorth Well it feels kinda in-lore, in the end the Cringe Times came exactly when the whole North got united under Archaon
If TWW was Lore-friendly each Chaos Lord would have THIRTY Upkeep-free DOOMSTACKS on TURN ONE!!!
I did the same I wanted to rush malekith and grombindal but I got huge problems against high elfs and sister of twilights by maintaining 2 armies. I had only one forteress and then sigvald declared war on me so I have stopped
I made it work on a longer timeline. I gave my norscan vassals all the minor settlements I took in Naggaroth (and had them still nearly wiped at least once. I only went as far east as Sigvald and got a treaty with him.
It was a slog for sure, but once I ended up with Valkia and primce with chosen doomstacks, I could smash the dark and high elf armies to the south pretty well for about 20 turns until Lothern got the rest of the Asur confederated enough to put up a fight.
A tough but fun campaign.
valkia's campaign is probably my favorite out of the champions of chaos. get hella dark elves vassals and then conquer ulthuan together. malekith as a vassal is so good too.
surprised you didn't mention the extra movement after armies retreat. with how much enemy armies like to retreat as well, that extra movement after retreats feels so damn good and is a pretty important part of her kit. no army can escape from you
A very fun campaign. Simple, straightforward but the all melee army is pretty satisfying.
Bloodthirsters are my favorite of all the god's Greater Daemon units.
Really enjoying these now. I thought the first few were way too short and light on info but these new ones are just the right ammount of time.
currently playing as her on VH difficulty and having a blast because I vassalized everything from north down to including ulthuan and everytime someone is declaring war on me there will be like 20-30 armies going for them and it is hilarious
really like valkia, generally khorne is the most fun to me. If you are alright with mods you can use: Allegiance of the Damned: Chaos Confederation, wich is kinda like greenskin confederation ( you need to beat the faction Leader in battle). Doing this as Skarbrand gives Valkia a ton of buffs with no downsides and a second legendary Lord for Skarbrand. Just establish a khorne cult at valkias starting location, will take a couple of turns but is worth it.
Forced confederation makes sence for WoC, they would never give away their power willingly
Holy god I play as Skarbrand all the time I’m gonna try that!!!!
Aye, having a way of getting playing both the mortal and demon side of the chaos gods (Kugath + Festus for example) just makes both the monogods so much more fun but also the "mono" WoC lords.
I'm enjoying the fact that the length of these videos is creeping up :)
Valkia was my first campaign in IE when the DLC released and I had a ton of fun with her and having a melee army. She's really a beast in combat. I just find it annoying that in the north you need to walk alot between settlements. I was ending up losing my bloodletting sometimes because of that
Valkia may not be the most powerful WoC but she probably has the coolest combat animations of them.
Nurgling gang tho
Valkia and Azazel for sure are up there
Loving this series really helps me try new campaigns I've struggled with for a long time or weren't interested in 🍻
I think this and the X first turns of this campaign series you used to do are my favorites. Thanks.
Are wizards in a Khorne faction strange?
Yes
However, Khorne has so many new Non-wizard spellcasters now that having a fire bender or two running around makes sense... Plus after a Burning Head melts an entire army even Khorne smiles a little
I like how these steadily increase in lenght :D
first one was just 2-3 mins and now ure going way more in depth
Appreciate the work you put in
Really fun lord, am playing through her campaign atm ^^
Fun fact: Not only can you make peace with Ghrond after taking your first dark fortress but you can vassalize them (and get a nice bit of cash) if you join their war with the nearby greenskin faction
I think the spell casters are there to be used in undivided armies or on the campaign map
Also they probably didn't want to lock you out of magic completely just because "khorne hates it", it is after all a strong tool and player fun and options are more important than lore
Especially since the actual khorne faction has cultists with summons and heralds with auras, neither of which warriors of chaos have access to
So to not make valkia a straight downgrade she gets some mages
To bounce off that, I think the playerbase hyperfocuses too much on the "Khorne hates magic" narrative. The very presence of demons requires magic to some degree, never mind all the whacky effects that can be done by the pure-Khornate characters. I think Game Workshop (and by extension CA) is well within their lore parameters when they give a few mage options to characters aligned with Khorne, so long as we have pure Khornate factions with 0 mages.
Then again, I've never read literature, so maybe Valkia is actually a huge lore crime, I dunno lol.
@@Kinperor well, warriors of chaos always have followers that simply follow them because they want to raid but aren't strong enough to do it on their own
So a few undivided mages supporting the undivided armies is perfectly fine, just be aware that they shouldn't mix with the actual khornates
It won't be a lore crime until you have a mage with the mark of khorne XD
Deamons are made of magic, by that logic Khorne should hate itself
@@portela132
Khorne hates people that use magic to fight their battles
Teleportation, Mental communication, Daemon summoning and putting Daemons into weapons is allowed
The only thing Khorne hates more than magic is Slaanesh
@@portela132 he hates mages and spells because a single guy obliterating entire armies with lightning, flames, death and all the other lores of magic isn't "fair"
Khorne likes melee
Also demons aren't made from magic they are made from warp/chaos
I definitely love having casters in the armies. Amazing.
This was the first IE campaign I did, and also the first time in TW history that I took my first campaign all the way to total victory. Tons of fun turning the world into bloody ashes.
Notification Squad were missing yesterday, good to see them on the ball today :D
Might be some value to utilize the mod that removes fog of war to talk about future plans for that lord and potential enemies!
valkia is one of my favorite campaigns, i do hope they add a slaughter priest type hero for khorne factions one day.
Kinda forgot about the -20% upkeep to Khorne daemon units from her item. Maybe not super strong with bloodletters, but it’s hella good in Be’lakor’s faction for bloodthirsters
I know these are about IE but I feel Valkia's RoC campaign is also worth mentioning. To me at least it was quite enjoyable
Maybe not the best, but I love playing as Valkia. Hope to see a Queen Khalida review too. I always have issues in the beginning. I end up chasing vampires for the first 20 turns.
Does Skarbrand's additional Growth from bloodletting not only counts once (highest) and isn't stackable?
Just finished my Skarsbrand campaign as my first finnish. Was really fun once I figured out how he works. Valkia was one of my toughest opponents. To the point where I started to have to auto battle her as I just couldn't take her down. Never did figure out how to confederate. Next campa8ign will be as her and we will see how she plays :D
I like these fine but haven't seen any gameplay for a while. I know you don't stream anymore, but is there a chance of getting content again that showcases campaign gameplay and cheese, and strategy. Thank you!
Thanks for the video
where did part 2 of the vod go?
video not available
was in the middle of watching the vod cause i was behind on the livestream
deleted?
THANKS LEGEND!
My favorite chaos warrior lord.
Could you do a Belakor unit roster? He has so many units it's hard to deceide.
Why did my campaign started somewhere else? Has it something to do with diff?
Hey guys so i was planning to play malus darkblade mortal empires after i finish my thorek campaign, should i leave his starting position and go to hag graef or stay?
What I love to do with Valkia, first thing, equip all Warriors with double weapons, then after taking the first dark fortress, go south and capture all the dark elves that are directly below you, then go east and capture the dark fortresses. It´s a snowball at this point, you easily get 5-9 vassals very fast
Day dlc was released I went to work next day without sleeping.
And I came back to continue playing
This was my second campaign, played on hard/hard and just stomped everything and everyone. Outrageously easy but outrageously fun.
Ah yes. Valkia.
Khornes GF who was described as very beatiful.
But then again, 15 years every single female character was, canonicly, described as beatiful
Beautiful (for a Norscan)
It's warhammer beautiful means they have both their eyes a nose and atleast 5 teeth.
@@loowick4074 Warhammer is in Alabama?!
@@stumpy1146 Damn, you got me.
She probably locked a bit different without the Khorne corruption.
"One woman doomstack". Legend is such a good ally
I'm not an expert but isn't "Rush in with no tactics" Khorns main tactic?
Ironic that valkia who is still fully endorsed by her patron god gets less bonuses than skarrbrand who has been cast out and forsaken by khorne for doing the same exact thing
I thought Valkia had another trait that increased her movement range when enemy armies retreated (which kinda makes sense since she basically punishes cowardly enemies for running from her)? Or is that just in the Realms of Chaos-Campaign?
yeah the extra movement after armies retreat is actually pretty huge. don't know why legend didn't mention that considering how passive the ai can be when your army is stronger than theirs. legit no army can escape you and it feels amazing
Having that is one of her main selling points IMO and it works well in Immortal Empires!
She does, it's her faction trait and Legend did mention it.
Please start streaming again or maybe do quicker videos on what type of army I should be creating with each race. I was finally having fun with N'Kari for a bit, then I basically destroyed my campaign trying to experiment with higher tier army compositions and I'm just not having fun with any other race.
Valkia's okay (and I might get hate for this) but I think Arbaal is a more fitting character to represent Khorne. He's the one I have anxiously hoped they would add since game one and I really hope they do. IMO, he is the perfect mortal Khorne representative.
Only problems I have with warriors of chaos is the limit amount of dark fortresses. Especially late late game when you go rampage south, there are no places you can capture their so you get slowed a bit
Agreed there should defo be more of them across the map
The problem is that skarbrand can always just return to the chaos waste
Due to cults arising from khorne corruption, you can purchase the building that destroys thr cult and sends your faction leader to that location, allowing you to swap whenever you want. Deff gorge, skarbrands start position, is oddly not attractive to the AI to attack. They just don't care enough for it.
Granted, the thunderdome down south is FAR MORE FUN and I guess he doesn't need dark fortresses to the north
The noob friendly option exists
Skarbrand is a lot easier to play up north, because his original starting position is ASS. You're surrounded by LL's that hate you (Khalida, Thorek, Settra, Repanse), your only potential allies suck ASS at long term expansion (Queek, Malaghor, maybe you can get Skarsnik or Wurzag? never managed to not piss off the greenies yet), there's huge distances between everything so your bloodletting keeps dropping and you can't chain sack anything so you're permanently starved for money, and if you manage to get over all that you're at ground zero for 2 out of 4 Crises (Dwarftide and Vermintide).
I went and took out nagarond first because Malekith snowballs and becomes pretty op fast. With him out of the way I focused east.
Rakarth next maybe?
CROWFATHER!
Valkia is a very fun campaign.
Interesting. New player here, will try them out if I get the DLC. I do have a question, I quite enjoyed your unit tier lists for the Warhammer 3 factions, and noticed you also have them for Warhammer 2. Do those WH2 tier lists also apply to WH3?
Foremost welcome to total war warhammer my man. Dont be discouraged, its a lot of game to wrap your mind around.
To answer your question, for the most part yes. There were some minor changes to specific factions to make them more viable against demons (like vampires getting s huge buff to leadership to keep them from crumbling so fast).
As you play and get more experience you'll get a feel for how to match your units enemy units. There are 3 major stats to watch, melee attack, melee defence, and weapon strength. Pick good match ups to pair your units that have better stats against enemy units. Legend is good for macro unit/faction information. Check out Zercovich for micro/unit specific information.
Have fun, enjoy the game.
@@DBHEcho Thanks! Do you have any particular recommendations, either videos to watch, or other resources? I have yet to move past the 1 line of inf followed by 1 line of archers. Also trying to understand why Legend ranked certain units the way he did would be valuable, so I can perform that analysis myself.
Last 2 things I have questions about that Legend has mentioned in previous videos: Cav cycling and confederations. The second is something I really want to do, grabbing more legendary lords seems really good, but so far, I have only been able to confederate with minor factions.
@@1001airstrikes cav is generally trash if not constantly cycle charging. For confederations you need to check for good opportunities when your allies are weak (usually after a big battle where they lose most of their army). Keep in mind that some races have easier confederation than others.
@@1001airstrikes can second Zerkovich, he makes good strategy videos for battles. worth watching if you want a few tips
@@1001airstrikes Absolutely.
Because this is a 3 game series with a ton of DLC and FLC content, there is no single resource I can point you to. You're in the right place for macro/strategic information. Legend is great for campaign map strategy. If you want to see more unit level/tactical information, check out Zercovich. Particularly check out his army guides, tactics guides, and noob mistake series.
If you get interested in the world and its lore, check out Book of Choyer and Loremaster of Sotek. They make for great bedtime or idle time stories to get you immersed into the universe.
If you like multiplayer, Heir of Carthage, Milk and Cookies TW, and Turin are all great resources to look at the tactics and unit vs unit match ups. Some of those guys, like Legend, have 20 years experience in Total Wars titles.
On confederation, that's remarkably complex and slightly different for each faction. In general, mouse over your relationship and read the tooltips - what does that faction like (mutual war, agent actions against certain factions, gifts given, etc.) what does that faction not like (war against their allies, gifts given to their enemies, etc.) Do things they like, avoid things they don't. Try giving gifts of money, or land; help them in wars against their enemies. Maybe gift them war on their enemies, or make alliances to increase your relationship. Some factions can force confederation by defeating their lord in battle (Norscans and Greenskins have this mechanic).
Modding can also really help with the elements of the game you want to focus on, but I would really recommend playing a few vanilla campaigns so you understand the base mechanics before you start changing them. Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords is a good one for confederation or at least recruitment of faction leaders who get destroyed before you can get to them.

3:15 . Valkia One men doomstack...Fair enough xD
Fucking loved this campaign. Ended up being my second favourite WoC campaign, second only to Sigvald.
How about a Legendary Lord Powerranking for the Warriors of Chaos?
If Festus isnt in the top 3, I’d be very dissapointed
@@Zucca2011 I need to know where they all are.^^
Khorne does not care where, why or from whom the blood flows but as soon as a sorcerer can access the warp SUDDENLY he cares... FeelsBadMan.
Also i think it was intended that you use tzeentch mages not UD.
Also fedtus has a way better couldron than kugath, the missiles resistance is so impactful.
Got a challenge for you Legend, try beating gentlemen jenkins on turn 1 as tyrion.
I didn't realize that Be'lakor could confederate Valkia. Is that new, or been like that since day 1?
only Archaon and Belakor can confederate RN
Be'lakor and Archaon got the ability to confederate other Warrior of Chaos lords in a patch sometime after the initial Champions of Chaos release.
do Gor-Rok next
Boris?
Is Valkia a stronger faction than Daniel? Without a doubt. That in mind, it feels absurdly wrong that Daniel gets way better bloodletting than she does.
very easy very fun campaign...i just went both directions and gave every city i not needed for money to one vassal and made a behemoth:D
I find Valkia's issue is the same one I have with all the mono god WoC factions. Why would I play them when I could play Bel'akor or Archeaon and get all the advantages without any of the limitations.
I'm 300 turns in and haven't generated money since turn 15
Azhag, please!
I wish they'd make allies fight against other factions the same as your enemies fight against you with all they've got, the instant brain damage when you're allies with any faction is so annoying.
That will never happen though.
Not really a heavy modding guy but I would say the "Fudging Vassals" mod is almost required for this campaign, or any Warriors of chaos campaign, unless you just don't give a single fuck if one of your vassals takes a dark fortress and there's no way to get it back but to go to war with them and take all their settlements to re-vassalize them.
Haven't encountered that problem yet but couldn't you trade settlement? You could take over several shitty ones to trade for a fortress.
@@millerrepin4452 you can only trade 1 for 1
Maybe they will replace with wizards with priest.
Not relevant for Valkia, but it's funny how Tzeentch and Nurgle sorcerers don't reduce your Khorne authority.
This is simultaneously one of the most fun campaigns in the game, and also one of the easiest, the only "real challenge" you face is taking Naggarond and to a lesser extent Hellebron's capital (the name eludes me atm and i can't be bothered googling it). Hopefully you don't get war declared on you and you can instead surprise attack them and take their capitals before they become ridiculously fortified or they just sit a 20 stack in it and refuse to come out. After that I suppose the only next viable issue would be taking other major capitals like Lothern, Hexoytl and Quintex. I would argue this is the easiest campaign in the game, if its not its handily in the top 2 or 3.
Had great fun with Valk, just make a big armoured bungus army get a fire mage and clap everyone’s cheeks
Khorne thinks magic is cowardly. Still willing to work with magic and sorcerers.
Val boost Val she's self centered and liked the chaos waste. Less need for a PH15 sunscreen.. but poor beaches;3
Valkia got hit hard by the fact that none of the base Khorne mechanics mesh well with the intended reworked WoC playstyle, which is about having a smaller amount of settlements overall that control a large number of vassals. I honestly just confederate her with Archaon or Belakor, because at least that way I can get some healing into her army with a Nurgle Hero and or a gifted Nurgle Warshrine.
mybe use the toggle fog of war mod
Of course the 'Blood Raven' skill increases your income from stealing shit :p
400 weapon strength for a khorne legendary lord feels so weak
on a mission to vassalize every faction in my campaign
Gor Rok
it is funny how much german is in warhammer
Most of the setting is a half assed parody of the world. Albion, Nippon, Cathay, Araby etc etc
@@Seraph1502 the empire is basicly the holy roman empire (austria, german states)
i personally find her campaign very boring, but i think that of most of the chaos factions. or i just can't make use of their special faction traits (like khorne) so makes them blah since i suck at using them.
Valkia felt a bit lazy to me. She has more in common with slaaneshy lords with her debuffs.
All of the Monogod Warriors of Chaos feel like absolutely bad options vs. Archaon or -The Demonic Edgelord- Belakor. They only really seem fun when confederated into one of those two factions and terrible on their own (except *maybe* Azazel).
Someone at CA really hates confederations
tbf, achaon and belakor are so incredibly broken, thier campaigns are easy and no challenge at all. with the other characters, something close to a challenge can appear sometimes.
I find Festus to be pretty enjoyable on his own, but the lack of confederation for folks other than Archaon and Belakor really hurts the overall experience.
Valkia the mommy
yooo
No Festus have better plagues that Kugath. They are different. Festus just pay more and cannot summon those infected guys .
Dont really miss anything from Ku’gath’s cauldron tbh. The increased duration on plagues and soul gain on plague spread is nuts on Festus. He can rush through the gifts of chaos so fast.
This is a great campaign and my preferred lord for unifying the entire North. I don't really do that on any other WoC.
yeah, unfortunatly, valkia is probably the most boring and weakest of the Chaos lords. as a khorne fan, she was really dissapointing (especialy her trailer)
So she's a good confederate, but not great overall.
Valkia, Azazel, Festus and Vilitch should have been in their respective monogod race and this is a hill I'm willing to die. They are cool characters and all of them are powerful in combat but due to being in the WoC race their campaigns are quite dull since they can't get all the benefits of their respective gods nor can have access to the full WoC roster. I've tried them with and without the mod that moves them to their respective god and all of them play WAY better as monogods, since you have way more freedom of movement instead of being forced to conquer the Chaos Wastes to get all the dark fortress.
festus plagues are way weaker than kugath
Just play as belkor and confederate her.

This campaign was so boring for me. Extremely easy.
