  • In this video I take the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate off and then tare into the engine to see what the cause of the failure was.

    That’s some serious carnage!
    I wonder if someone tried to pull start it with too much enthusiasm to free up the engine.

    Good day Nash As I was watching wondering if Prince was around at 18 min there he is sitting there.
    Interesting video, I guess anything is possible, looks like engine had it kinda rough at end. Thanks

    Nash, Do you suppose there was water in cylinders two and /or three and they tried pulling it to start it? That would have put a bow in the crane causing the cast iron main caps to brake. I know that a couple old farmers who belted an A John Deere with the cylinders full of gas from the carb which pushed the head off of the bolts. Tom

      Tom it’s very possible didn’t think of that but I do agree with your thought. I figured someone tried to pull start also, but didn’t think of the cylinder being full of something else. Makes complete sense. Thanks for posting.
