Andre Roberson has been out over 900 days in what has to be one of the most confusing and long injury absences in NBA history. Will he actually make it back on the court for the Oklahoma City Thunder at the NBA bubble or will it be another let down and set back? In this video we'll take a look at Andre Roberson's knee injury history, reviewing what happened initially and the roadblocks and set backs that have limited his return to the NBA when the season resumes at the Disney Bubble.

I feel like if he was in both of the playoffs against Utah and Portland, OKC would have won... No one can stop Dame and Mitchell in that series but with extra good defender like Roberson guarding them, atleast they could slow them down... Donovan wouldn't drop 20+ in the 3rd in game 6 and could atleast slow him down on offense if Roberson was there... Dame wouldn't lit up for 50 in game 5 either... Dame would probably still drop 30+ but not 50 with Roberson's helped on defense

I’ve been wondering about this ever since I saw him get hurt , believe it or not this same thing happened to me about 3 years ago , my patellar tendon ripped a piece of my tibia bone up and it tore my meniscus and part of my acl , and there was damage to my growth plate , and I played my Freshmen and sophomore season but throughout my sophomore , I was experiencing so much pain and discomfort , so I went to the doctors they took fluid out but I kept feeling pain, I couldn’t walk down stairs right , I couldn’t walk normal , so I ended up stopping playing and I’m going into my senior year and I’m not gonna be able to play cause even when I walk I feel pain , only when I walk for long periods of time , and all of this is so unfortunate for me because I am only 17

I tried to play through it in practice but the pain was too much, I couldn't do sprints or anything. The doctor shut me down from all sports and even now I'm having pains walking and going up and down stairs, bending my knee, etc. The pain from before is still there but the severity of that pain is not as bad. Stay strong man.

It is honestly the only pain I have felt in my life that I can consciously remember and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Now being 26 it still limits me. What kind of contract does he have? I mean, most players, even decent players who got injured gets cut or not extended after season ending injuries. Proven all stars may have some considerations as they wait a year or 2 (KD, Rose, Wall, PG, Klay, etc.) to get back to their form. It really is a bizzare case for him. Or, it could be that OKC is just really that good of a team considering how they kept him for so long.

Are there any exercises/stretches that can be done to decrease/prevent a pattelar tendon from rupturing?

Ive had this same injury in september 2019 . Its almost been a year and the strength and balance is far from it used to be. One way i test myself is standing in front of big ocean waves. Before the injury i could take the waves all day. But now the waves blow me away. Its takes a lot of time to get to what it used to be or maybe it never really is.

One of few channels I don’t mind if they plug some stuff. I saw you did a video on Brandon Roy, I’d enjoy a series on players whose career was severely limited after injuries our other ailments: Ralph Sampson, Yao Ming, Grant Hill, Sean Elliott, Alonzo Mourning, Greg Oden, etc.

I’ve had patellar tendinitis on my right knee for nearly 2 years, thanks to quarantine I wasn’t able to do much activities since out government didn’t allow basketball because it’s too much of a contact sport, I’m all well now but it took me 4 months of absolutely no activity on my right knee. It really takes a significant time to rest and heal and now I’m starting to improvise my therapy on my right knee.

Be careful though dude total rest is really bad for tendons. You're pain has likely just gone away because you're not playing ball. Best of luck with the rehab though this is a good time to get strong again 💪

I like his game a lot even though he didn't have a 3-pointer or the best 2-pointer he found his way on the court and that's pretty impressive. In 2K you could put him on their best player and he would slow their production down alot.
