As an English person, living in England, married to a Mauritian but with family from South Africa, I can see the appeal. I've visited Mauritius over 20 times and SA a few and there are certainly some similarities - both beautiful countries! I think one of the biggest reasons my SA mates leave SA is purely because of safety and security. Most have gone to Canada. My wife and I talk about moving to Mauritius all the time. Such a small island but with a surprisingly huge amount of things to do. Wish you well in your adventure!
Considering this move very seriously over the next coming years. Was in Mauritius for a few weeks on vacation in May 2022, and oh my, what an amazing place it is. It stole a piece of my heart. So much so that I want to return in a few months to open a bank account for myself and start sending money that side so as to be able to invest in property soon enough. Have been following your channel for a while now (the quality has definitely improved over the course of that time, well done team👌) and would be very thankful if you would help make this move a reality. It is real privilege to be able to live,work and play, in a place like Mauritius! It does provide the opportunity to anyone, who wishes to live life to the full...the way life should be lived. Quite,the interaction between South Africa and Mauritius should be enhanced at all level.
We moved to NZ almost 3 years ago. It cost us considerably less than what you quoted for a move to Mauritius. Someone is taking a chance here again by preying in poor souls who want to flee SA. Another tip, drop the ‘ja’ it does not show professionalism.
Thanks anton for clarifying that,we feel for those white Boers moving away from southafrica. But we’ve got thousands of those Boers in Mauritius. The government should stop those economic migrants coming from South Africa. But super rich most welcome.
