There are many Tri-state Area's in the United State, however it's never told to us which one Phineas and Ferb takes place in... #phineasandferb #shorts
One of my favorite things about Doofenshmirtz was how he didn't want to take over the whole entire world, but rather specifically the Tri-State area. I thought him having a more reasonable specific goal was hilarious.
Remember how he once thought about taking over the world but was suggested to start small with the Tri-State Area. It was actually Linda, phineas and Candace’s mom, who gave him the idea during a drive through movie date.
@@jordanbutler8530Well, he never really planned to try to take over the world. That was just a sarcastic comment he made in response to Linda saying she wanted to be a pop star. It was her then saying that he should maybe start small with the tri-state area that seemed to inspire him. Of course, Linda wasn’t ACTUALLY telling him to take over the tri-state area. In context, she was essentially saying you can achieve seemingly unattainable goals by taking it one step at a time as a response to Doof’s sass.
I think it is because the Simsons made that joke and internet people wouldn't have forgiven such outrageous sin against god, earth and humanity of hearing the same joke in two shows. So they decided to imply, instead of showing, which is equally funny.
@@RHCP_AKIRASTAND In that sentences context "sin against god" is just used as a way to sarcastically say "incredibly evil/heinous" in the most exaggerated fashion.
Firstly, depends what your definition of driving range is. One tank of fuel, one hour, one day, literally accessible by road? If that’s the case, they could be in Patagonia for all we know.
Not true. They could not be in South America because of the Darien Gap, a small stretch in the deep rainforests of Panama and Columbia where there are no roads, effectively cutting the roadways of the Americas in half.
Here in the US, driving distance is as far as you're willing to drive. A motivated group could drive from the southern tip of Florida to Mount Rushmore.
Also interesting to note, in the follow-up series Milo Murphy's Law and Candace Against the Universe, it's implied, if not outright confirmed, that the tri-state area doesn't necessarily refer to an area consisting of three states. Instead the area was named after founder John P. Trystate. However Milo mentions a QUAD-state area once or twice which opens up a whole new can of worms.
That was actually confirmed in the Phineas and Ferb series when Buford mentioned his great uncle, Otto H. Adjacent founder of the Adjacent area which was later merged with the bi-state area to form the tri-state area by his nemesis John P. Trystate.
@@alphacacticreaturescreatur9122 ehh, not necessarily, but it would make sense. i don't think dan and swampy would've put that much thought into a callback bit.
It's worth noting that deserts are always shown as being far away from the tri state area, i.e. doof teleporting himself and perry to one and taking all day to get back, and other episodes only visiting them via road trips or other forms of travel.
Another commenter also pointed out that "driving distance" can mean anything from being a few hours away, to literally _anything connected to a road._ Meaning that, if one uses the latter definition, the Tri-State Area could theoretically be in "Patagonia for all we know" (For context: Patagonia is a historical region in Southern Argentina, almost on the coast of Cape Horn). So, if the Tri-State area is far away from a desert, near the Atlantic Ocean, _and_ within "driving distance" of Mount Rushmore, then it being somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard (or at least _close_ to the Eastern Seaboard) is the most likely guess. That being said, like EliTried mentioned, Dan Povenmire himself has stated that the exact location of the Tri-State area is irrelevant, unless it's needed for a joke, or for the plot of a specific episode.
Well it's near a Desert so at least 4 hours driving. Near Rushmore so South or middle. Near the pacific. Near a great lake. So wich state is in the middle of Rushmore to it's left. Great lake North and desert to the South? Also the don't have southern drawl. Soooo Illinois,Indiana , Kentucky
Really, the Tristate Area isn't a state or group of states. It's just an area, founded by John P Tristate. It was a municipal merger between the Bistate Area and Adjacent Area.
Well actually, the desert wasn't stated to be in or close to dansville, but rather a place that Perry and Doofenshmirtz were transported to by the inator, and connected by a bus route. They were able to get back to Danville on jetpack, so it isn't necessarily something that can be measured by normal metrics
In the Mount Rushmore episode, Perry travels all the way to his OWCA-sanctioned base in Danville only to have to travel all the way back to Mount Rushmore, so they can’t be _that_ close to each other…
Honestly I think Danville is on the Washington-Oregon-Idaho border for this reason. Driving distance to Seattle, Mt Rushmore, a large desert, and the Pacific Ocean.
