- Candace has tried every conceivable strategy to bust Phineas and Ferb and show their contraptions to her mom, and much to your surprise, she managed quite a few times!
So today we'll take a closer look at the most significant times Candace busted her brothers.
This video is a new and improved version of an older video I made a couple years ago, which you guys really liked, but due to copyright issues I had to delete it. So I decided to remake the whole thing now with a better script, audio and video quality, as well as a much more decent pronunciation. I know, I'm THAT good 😎
Who knows, someday I might even do a revisited version of my 'Top 10 Best Phineas and Ferb Episodes' video too.

If I had kids and they were building dangerous high tech things 2 things would happen first yes I will probably yell at them because they could’ve gotten hurt but I would also realize they are extremely intelligent and then watch over their projects to make sure they are safe

For some reason I always supported Candace on busting Phineas and Ferb. Probably because I felt bad for her after Linda comes home and plays dumb dumb with her kids.

According to what IMDb said in regards to why Candace what's to bust her brothers is and I quote: *"Candace believes that if she did the same thing, she'd get in trouble so her brothers should, too."*
That's definitely one of the reasons, but I believe there's much more to it than that, I even made a video explaining in detail why exactly Candace wants to bust her brothers, and I think there's multiple reasons for it

She did get in trouble after forming a gettogether which unintentionally turned into a party. As for the Doofenshmirtz and Perry counter plot always erases Phineas and Ferb's inventions, it completely does the opposite for Candace's accidental party, resulting in her getting busted
@@Jegcopo 0:00 though 0:06 um I've actually watched the entirety of Phineas, and Ferb on Disney+ both the entire show, and its 2 movies, So I do know the five episodes where Candice actually busted Phineas, and Ferb, but there's a clever with at the end where it's a fake out, Or something. 😂😂

I was honestly relieved with the Boot Camp ending, I didn't want them to be busted like that at all. I love watching and rewatching Phineas and Ferb build and play with their inventions with their freinds and I never wish to see the end of that. We all need to be reminded that this show was filmed to remind us that we all have an inner young child who is constantly telling us that while growing old is necessary; growing up never has to be.
Yeah, honestly, Candace was CRAZY to think that busting her bros would lead to them getting their whole human self being forced out.

@@arrantcobra1790 lets say they get bad luck, ferb gets hit by a car driven by irving as an act of revenge for leaving them out or something. ferb dies, phineas goes into a depression and eventually does the deed himself. irving faces no consequences for killing ferb and flees to mexico and eventually gets karma and is thrown in jail.
@@peterjohnisback That's an excellent theory. However, I doubt Disney would allow that level of a dark theme for a G-rated show. I don't remember who Irving is, possibly because I haven't seen the series all the way through yet. (I didn't have cable growing up, but I have Disney+ to watch the series on.) When did Irving debut?

If she finally busts her brothers, I no longer support her as I feel betrayed by her...
I agree on that, but really, she once literally had to decide on either saving evidence of their builds or saving Phineas.
Sure, she did help him at the end, but it's horrifying she even had to think about it in the first place.
And Mr. Fletcher never helped her to tell her mother about what phineas and ferb did because even he participates with them

I might have asked this before, but did the series ever give an explanation as to why Candace was so obsessed with busting Phineas and Ferb? I know she's a teenage older sister and antagonist to their adventures/fun, but I don't remember the exact reason as to why she wanted to bust them so badly other then maybe the gratification of doing so.
It's kinda complicated, there were a few moments in the series where Candace admitted that she's secretly proud of the things that Phineas and Ferb have done. but she claims that the main reason why she's always trying to bust them is because she's trying to protect them from the things they do which kinda makes sense because just about everything that the boys is dangerous in one way or another and they do things that kids their age should never be doing. so yeah that's pretty much it.
If you’ve watched Candace against the universe, she talks about how she feels a bit jealous of her brothers. She feels like she doesn’t compare to them
i once heard a theory somewhere that the biological dad of phineas and candace died in some sort of workplace accident, and she doesn’t want a repeat of that, unsure if this has any basis or something, just sharing it
My theory is that at first, she wanted to show their Mom just cause she thought it was cool, but got frustrated when the projects would always disappear. So she eventually thought that Phineas and Ferb were hiding the machines on purpose, and set out to bust them

So many times Linda saw the boys but the times were often undone by Dr. Doofensmirtz, or being a dream or deemed as cute.
I feel like Linda always gaslights the hell out of Candace, and that's a large part of the reason why I want Candace to be successful
More like humoring Candace. Parents do that all the time. Since Linda has been TOTALLY obvious to Phineas and Ferb's shenanigans and she literally never SAW anything (thanks to Doof), give her a break, will ya?
Actually there are moments where not only Linda Flynn saw Phineas and Ferb what they’re doing but she and Candace was so proud of them
1: Linda’s birthday Phoneas and Ferb pull out a giant modal runway of her favorites dresses and to finish it Candance sang her birthday song with the help of the boys
2. The love handle episode. They pull out a giant stadium for love handle for their parent’s anniversary and Ferb was in the lighting saying to his own dad “WELL DONT JUST STAND THERE! KISS HER!”

To be fair both of those weren't super over-the-top like the others and could possibly be done by kids with the amount of help they had and the second one she thought her husband did
I think realistically Linda would get worried at first for Phineas and Ferb's safety but quickly realize that they're geniuses and be proud of them. Like, the ability to build things so fast and efficiently at such a young age is enough for them to be sent to a prestigious college.
Actually no she would still overreact because the future candace went back In time and found Linda which was technically real Linda and she ruined there lives it's still the same Linda just in a different timeline
Also, the stuff they build was extremely expensive.

I like the show the way it was. There wouldn’t have been a series without it. There were times when Candace didn’t think of busting her brothers and helped them. It was a good cartoon. I loved it.😊

Nothing’s wrong with a mom being protective over her sons, she’s just afraid that something might go wrong that’s going to end up hurting them or worse death. And another thing, candace might just feel the same way, she’s just afraid that her brothers might get hurt.
Not to mention the stuff they build is expensive.
I still think candace should chill and enjoy her life. It would be way more awesome as it has been shown several times. Tho ngl I like the joke she never really manages to bust them. It definitely gives the series a certain character

Question: Why Doof's father hate him so much? And does he even love Roger as well?
Heinz comes from a veeery long line of wicked and devious evil-doers, so his parents might have inherited that kind of villany, where they're evil just for the sake of being evil.
And I like to think they act in such a supportive and caring way with Roger not because, deep down, they actually love him, but only because they know that showing that kind of affection to their younger child would hurt Heinz more than anything. It's a bit messed up, but I think those two would be 100% capable of doing such a thing x)

Does anyone agree that “Phineas and Ferb Get Busted! (Aka At Last in several regions and countries, including Asia, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand) might be one of the weirdest episodes of the show?

Honestly, it’s actually nice that the creators of the show added that in, plus a dream inside of a dream, after Candice wakes up after her dream that’s in Perry’s dream, she explains everything to her parents and then the god damn FBI burst into the house after the family find out that Perry’s an agent inside the dream and take the family away and then Perry wakes up

Not even close. The weirdest episode and one I will rarely watch is the episode where Phenias/Ferb turns into a lizards
The "Forget-about-it-Inator" would be permanent, I mean we know his past memory erasing inator was permanent, so something that wipes out short term memories would be the same. It also kinda overrides the "She knew all the time" given she _repeatedly_ displays shock at the invention, she'd reasonably break character at some point.
5:00 - I knew there was too bustings in that one. The other one was the future mom busting them but couldn't really do anything as Phineas and Ferb was grown up.
6:10 - Wait, confidence. Obviously Candice never managed to bust the boy if Linda from 20 years later didn't know until past Candice showed her.
It would be kind of cool if they had a movie focused entirely on that concept, even if it was just something undone by the end. It'd be cool seeing a more realistic scenario played out.

All of the times Phineas and Ferb did build or do something that was seen by Linda that weren't erased or regarded as some sort of dream were relatively harmless in nature.
I think that Candace should bust Phineas and Ferb without time shenanigans happening. It could open up so many plots that were only touched on like who Candace is without busting her brothers and more intricate and safer designs of projects that Phineas and Ferb have to build, as well as Linda dealing with her boys creativity, intelligence, laws, and bills
I’ve always supported Candace even though she’s not special or the chosen one, I’ll still keep supporting her especially when season 5 comes out because I like Candace Flynn so much!
10:05 Funny thing, I had always believed that the series would end that she would finally see what the boys have been up too all summer, and no mystical universe preventing it from happening interferes either. And when she sees, she gives out a pretty mad and disappointment appearance then on that last moment, she let's out a joyfulness and claims how proud she is of them.
And I guess everything that happens where we actually see her get mad at and busted them is probably some sort of audience misleading or making a joke out of Candace's long-waited desire or something like that.

I’ve always been on both sides, on one end i love seeing phineas and ferb make these cool inventions and such but i loved seeing how close candace got so close to busting them and it always kept me interested even now that i’ve left it playing on my tv on disney plus for months now 😭 (for noise mainly)

Usually you always root for the poor guy that never wins and is always beaten by the "victim" of the show.
Here you start despising Candace for trying to make their brothers suffer.
It comes to a point tho where you have to side with her after witnessing enough of the crazy that is the world they live in.
She's like Milo, all things bad happen to her, but she doesn't realize it.

I also feel like the reason why she wants to ‘bust’ her brothers is because she herself is probably being told she is ‘too young’ to be doing certain things and gets annoyed at how her brothers are able to get away with ‘grown up’ things and she isn’t allowed to them. I also feel like by ‘busting’ them, she gets the validation from her mother of being the responsible sibling & she sees her as more grown up. She’s also not popular at school, so she might feel like she doesn’t really have many people to talk to outside her family causing her to fixate on them. I think a lot of people brush over her character as an annoying, bratty teenage girl, when really she’s just trying to navigate adolescence, puberty, friendships & relationships and her crazy family at the same time (i mean, they literally have a PLATYPUS, it can’t just be P&F who are a bit weird!)

Yep, and in one episode, undoing that canon event caused a dystopian world and her pet platypus getting injured by a huge tinfoil bag.
Me: Sargent! You can't take away every kids' imaginations. Our imaginations are what make us human. If you can't see that, then you're just like a robot with no brain at all. So stay away from Phineas and Ferb if you know what's good for you!

To be honest Adult Candace busting her brothers using time travel. Backfired on her rather it being a success!
I mean, technically they get busted in the episode "Dude, We're Getting Back Together.", where they are getting Love Handle back together.
But the ultimate goal of that episode was to put on a concert for their parents, sooo... and Candace was working for with the boys.
Also the stage was built by Isabela and her friends. Further, If you saw a huge stage your first thought would be "Ohh, My kids and husband hired a event management company, I wonder how much it costs" or "My kids must be genius and they built a stage so they must be capable of building an elevator to the moon"

(I know its a cartoon, but I have so many headcanons of the bad future.)
After, Candace busts Phineas and Ferb, Isabella tries to defend them. Only for Linda to get mad at her also. Linda sends Phineas and Ferb, along with their friends to summer school for misbehaved children the next day (much to the overjoy of Candace).
Eventually, Linda informed this to the mayor and like any adults, they overeact and exaggerate the situation, The Tri-State Area banned creativity for all children, out of fear of repeat of Phineas and Ferb's dangerous activities. Candace was happy that busting her brothers, inspired the childrens parents in Danville.
But, when she went to talk with Stacy, Jenny, and Jeremy they weren't happy about Danville's rule change at all.
Candace says it was for the best, but Stacy argued if it met ruining the fun for the rest of the kids in Danville.
This catches Candace in thought, Jenny shows Candace a newspaper. It shows the government wants to childproof the children if they plan to build something dangerous like Phineas and Ferb did, all they need is the adults approval and signature to make it official.
Candace claims she didn't want this to happen, or ruining the fun for all the children in Danville. Stacy, Jeremy, and Jenny didn't want to hear it as they blame her for their sisters getting taken away and making their fun boring, they denounce Candace as their friend and walk away, and Candace breaks down in tears.
Thinking the same thing, if Candace actually busted Phineas and Ferb, it would cause catastrophic proportions in the timelines between the now and the future, even the past too for the creativity of the kids and ruin many summers for them... Candance need to give her brother's a break and GET OVER IT..... Since Season 1, Episode 16, it became a reality for a moment without realizing what happened when Doofenschmirtz took over the tri-state area and the world, she saw how that turned out and her past self was erased in the blink of an eye. And her mother already knew about them in the future episode.....

4:38 I get what you are saying there, it would make sense that her memory loss would be temporary, but if you think about it, she has been blasted by that ray several times. Perhaps that could have cause some permanent damage. Kind of similar to what happened with Old Man McGucket in Gravity Fall without the permanent insanity. Not to mention that Doof was close to the Inator when it exploded, so maybe that kind of exposure triggered his memories?
I have so many questions of the bad future where Doof is a dictator! Was he actually okay with Vanessa being taken away? Were Candace, Linda, and Lawrence actually fine with government banning activity for children and eventually locking them up? How did Candace of that timeline react to that happening? What happened to Phineas, Ferb, and their friends who lived through that timeline? Did, Stacy and Jeremy cut ties with Candace after their little sisters got locked up too?!
I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities as a super fan of the show x) (This might get quite long lol)
I believe the whole "locking up children until they're adults" thing didn't start happening right after the boys get busted. I guess it must have taken Doof some time to rise to power and change the laws to enclose children in protective suits and all, so by then Vanessa was probably already 18 and wasn't required to be locked up. But, in any case, since Doof is now the supreme lord of the world/Tri-State Area, I think he could make an exception for Vanessa, leaving her unharmed and free. After all, it's HIS dictatorship xD
Linda and Lawrence might actually have been fine with Doof making the Tri-State Area safer and all, but I'm pretty sure they would have realized how messed up it was to lock children away. After some time, and with Doof making some intensive propaganda, they might have convinced themselves that this was the best choice and the safest option for their children
As for Candace, I believe she instead would quickly realize that what she wanted (busting the boys) was not actually what she needed, and she would probably start regretting busting them quite soon. She would probably try her best to keep her brothers with her and rebel against this law, but she wouldn't quite manage to do anything about it.
Even though they're usually pretty responsible and do whatever they're told - especially if laws are concerned, - I like to imagine Phineas and Ferb would find a way to escape Doof and would use some invention to free themselves and meet up with Candace and all together, the 3 of them, would go ahead and rescue their friends. Along with Isabella and the rest of the gang they would probably form "The Resistance", just like they did in the second dimension movie (only this time including the boys from the start) and would do their best to fight Doof. However... this time, they wouldn't succeed like in the second dimension as, 20 years later (with a 35-year-old Candace and 28-year-old Phineas and Ferb), it seems like Doof is still in charge and no one managed to overthrow him.
Then I'm pretty sure Stacy and Jeremy would indeed be mad at Candace for causing Suzy and Ginger to be locked up, but I suppose they would eventually realize that it wasn't entirely her fault, and that she wasn't actually responsible for their sisters being locked up, so they would forgive her. ONLY after their sisters are rescued, of course. And here I could see Candace even putting her safety on the line to rescue Ginger and Suzie. I can see Candace rescuing Suzy herself, thereby making the little demon see Candace in a brand new light and hate her slightly less. x)
Unfortunatelly, even though this is an incredibly intriguing scenario, it doesn't look like our heroes would have a happy ending after all. Or if they do, they'd at least after 20 years of living in a dystopia x)
@@Jegcopo it could’ve happened in another timeline^^ (I like how Stacy and Jeremy are understandably mad at Candace for the government changing the laws for the children, but eventually realized that it wasn’t entirely her fault and that she’s willing to fix her wrong doings to avoid a bad future for their sisters)^^

You missed the one where Doof built the cool inator run on espresso. The parents saw it, they were just subsequently hit by the cool/uncaring ray
I like to think Candace may have some sort of OCD I think of at least two times where Candace could’ve busted the boys if she had changed one thing, Phineas and Ferb busters, and sci fi pie in the first Candace could’ve just brought her mom to the backyard when don’t even point out all the noise in the backyard but she still doesn’t do anything and the second one the only thing that kept Linda come see the UFO they built was that the pizza she brought Candace exploded covering the back window for UFOs still there in the middle of the night, so yeah I think if something like that happened and you still don’t want to change anything you might have some sort of OCD

This show is basically a Disney adaptation of Warner Bros. cartoon The Road Runner. They both follow similar rules that limit what kinds of things can happen in each episode, the most important being "The coyote must never catch or eat the Road Runner" and "Candace must never truly bust Phineas and Ferb". There's also certain similarities to a classic Chuck Jones film "One Froggy Evening", where a man finds a singing and dancing frog, but no one else seems to believe him, which ultimately drives him insane.🤔

I wish that “Phineas and Ferb get busted“ was actually the penultimate episode, where the Perry/Doofenshmirtz stuff was the actual final episode. Come to think of it, we never actually got that side of the story.
I do wonder... Why did Candace and Jeremy break up in the future.
I mean we know this happens since much like her mother, she had a STEP son. I.e Fred.
Did he die, did he become a deadbeat.. Like became a traveling musician or something.
I do believe though, what would be funny... She lost Jeremy as a husband, but gained a friend in Susie.
Like maybe it was SUSIE who revealed the secrets Jeremy kept from her, thus making Candace actually forgive Susie.
While Buford swoops in to comfort her at this time.
There's no official confirmation that Jeremy isn't Fred's biological father, fans just started speculating because of how Fred doesn't seem to resemble Jeremy.
Although a scenario like this one you mentioned would be quite intriguing and kinda fun, there's no reason to believe Fred isn't Jeremy's son - and is Buford's instead.
As far as we know, Fred could have inherited his brown hair from Candace's biological father (who we know nothing about) or maybe from Candace's grandpa Clyde (since we don't know what his hair looked like when he was young).
But again, a scenario where Candace and Buford end up together (and where Suzy and Candace become friends) would be hilarious xD

One of the times was a dream and others where time travel shenanigans when it came to Candice busting her brothers if I worded that right.

Candice is happy those 5 times she busted the boys because the rest of the episodes when they were building stuff. They always win and never gets in trouble. But I still love this show
Hounestly my pitch fore how the Series should have ended, would have been fore Candese to finaly bust Them, but instead of scoulding Them, Linda tells Them how great and Capeble boys they are, says she was alwas loking fore something she could go to the nevs media with and that they are perfeckt fore it, as fore Candese, she gets happy at first about finaly susseding, but then it quicly turns into a tantrum when she realishes the boys aint gonna get punnisht.
Lucky fore me that can still happen now that we get two more seasons of the show.

Well, at least from the second season. The Boot Camp episode is my favorite episode of the first season, and the “where’s perry“ episode is my favorite episode of the third season. As for the fourth season, that one was just weird.

I think the reason Future Linda is so chill about finding out about Kid Phineas and Ferb is because she knows that, in the end, everything turns out alright with the boys ending up as world famous (and likely super rich) scientist/inventors. Trying to infringe on their creative nature could jeopardize that. She might not know about the Emperor Doof dark future, but it’s hard to imagine a better future for the boys than the one we saw.

We dont usually root for these characters but if you think about it, Candace is in the right here. Not only are the things the boys are doing are illegal but im pretty sure the parents are getting charged cause no way do companies give them the materials they need for free....especially not freebies cause children. They shouldn't be handling building equipment, participate in races, build roller coasters that go over property like a city. They participated in a race, if other racers hated jeff gordan for all his wins as a new guy and young man then they would flip if a child beat them causing alot of issues, the list goes on and on. Yet the show labels these things "having fun" and that it would be wrong, which is something they're taught when in one episode when they were caught and put into a camp that discourages creative thinking and fun which is just stupid. The stuff they do is illegal and dangerous.

I totally agree, I've also made a whole video on why Candace wants to bust her brothers and why I think she's in the right.
People often side with the boys and are mad at Candace for spoiling their fun, when at the end of the day she's simply doing her mom's job. She makes sure the boys don't do anything Linda wouldn't want them to do.
At the same time people can't see how Linda would be mad at Phineas and Ferb for their inventions, they keep saying: "If I were their mother I wouldn't ground them, I would be super proud instead!". But, in reality, that's really not how a responsible parent would react. Linda would totally flip x)
so you guys want phineas and ferb to turn into xavier and fred? do nothing all day? and be on their phones? don't wanna hear complaints about generations and generations
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 I believe Phineas and Ferb can still do whatever they want to do (there's no need to prevent them from doing stuff entirely), but they should be more responsible and attentive, letting their parents know everything they do. After all, if something happened to the boys or their friends, the responsability would be Linda and Lawrence's.
Phineas and Ferb, after all, are doing everything behind their parents' backs. They sometimes inform them of their shenanigans but, of course, they're never taken seriously. And being as smart as they are, Phineas and Ferb should have figured out by now that other children don't do what they do, so how are their parents supposed to know what's going on in their backyard? They're not technically lying to their parents, but they're omitting the truth, which is just as bad.
@@Jegcopo if they told their parents, they would say NO, most of the time prompting to the alternate future of becoming xavier and fred, say no to a point, where they have no passion anymore and sit and do nothing, that dialogue scene is evidence bc it essentially means if phineas and ferb got denied everytime by their parents, the parents wouldn't let them even do small inventions, and if they were, it would be very simple, so they would turn into only xavier and fred, and nothing else, and if thats the characters you guys want them to be, there should be no complaints about how they do nothing outside

If Linda and Lawrence end up preventing them from creating their inventions, then that's their fault for not encouraging their children to make the most of their many talents and not letting them be themselves.
But Linda, and Lawrence especially, seem pretty open-minded. Although at first they might say "no" to them, I can totally see them later warming up to them, and embracing their children's creativity and enthusiasm

Bc time travel are a very confusion thing for kids to understand (speaking only of my self) and bc pherb kinda never say anything it makes it so much more valuable and remarkable.

In "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", it was actually quite an interesting idea of what would happen if Candace had finally busted Phineas and Ferb after all this time in the show.
Especially since Candace had always wanted one successful chance to bust her brothers for their crazy and dangerous inventions they always create.
Not to be that person but the day candace travels to is the Rollercoaster (the musical). You can see them in the background.
Technically in the episode where the boys help Candace parallel park, their dad sees the entire monster truck arena they built.

Honestly, the whole thing with it all being Candace's dream inside of Perry's dream in the episode "Phineas & Ferb Got Busted", I rather like.
