The base M4 with 16 gb RAM for $2300 aud Or The base M4 with 32gb RAM for $2900 aud Or The M4 Pro with 24gb of Ram for $3000?
With education pricing, M4 Pro Mac Mini cooks M4 Pro iMac for value with more cores. M4 Pro MBPs are basically $485 (14”) or $865 (16”) more than M4 Pro Mac Mini to add screen and battery and portability. MBP with nano texture is compelling.

Both are great options though, so you can't go wrong with either one.
Mac week definitely got me excited for Apple. I especially got caught in my feels by the commercial they played at the end of the MacBook Pro showcase event. It started with that inspirational tone that reminded me of Steve Jobs 1997 here’s to the crazy ones and it ended with showing the true power of Mac with the pinky promise. Beautiful stuff. Super impressive. Apple is knocking it out of the park. But the ram increases, at least in the 16” aren’t free, they increased the price. The M3 16” MB Pro base model with 16gb ram used to cost $2899 Canadian dollars on the education store. Now the base model 16” can only be bought with 24gb of ram and they increased the price to $3,049. So Apple will always be greedy. They would rather take a bullet before dropping their prices. They make u think “hey! Our laptops come with more ram now! :) “ But you’re paying extra for it. These prices are ridiculous I’m surprised more ppl aren’t talking about this. The reason they made a base 14” mb pro was only to boost sales bc the other mb pro’s were not seeing high sales. See how greedy they are? It’s also based off of previous sales. They know creators are looking to buy minimum 32gb of ram to 64+. Pro sales were high in that range. So basically the demographic for a pro now have to fork out the cash for the new 48gb or a max chip which is almost double ? Wtf apple.
I don’t know what’s scarier, MacBook Air customers being crap out of luck with their 8 gigs of memory, or Apple being able to just hand you 8 more gigs if you already bought it..

Yeah, seems like it would be a pretty decent machine. For light-intermediate usage. When I got my M3 Air earlier this year I went to the 16 inch with 16 GB of RAM, I believe I got the 512 GB SSD though. Just upgraded from 2016 13 inch Pro with 8GB RAM and and 256GB SSD. If that could handle macOS pretty well, I have no doubt for the M Series chips. Now if someone is a videographer, photographer, etc., they’d be kidding themselves for something that low in spec. Would like to say that while macOS can handle the lower spec pretty fairly, I can’t say the same for the competition, that one definitely needs 16 GB. Widows will still run kind of well with 8GB though. Linux would probably be like butter with 8GB.
Now when it comes to ThunderBolt 5 on the MacBook Pro M4 Pro/M4 Max models. About time Apple stepped up to put the latest Thunderbolt 5 port introduced September 12, 2023 by Intel in it's latest product. Should be in all of the next versions of Mac's. "Think different" after all.

I just bought a refurbished iMac from apple a couple of weeks ago. I went with close to the base model because the other options weren't affordable. It's really annoying how apple wants to upgrade memory with the m4 when they could have done this with the m3. These really small chip updates hurt the users because there is no reason why all of the changes they just made could have been made to m3 instead of m4. It's like you don't know which chip to wait till purchase. I understand if you are gonna spec it out it doesn't matter but for the people who can't afford to or don't think its worth its unfortunate.

@@latinreuben go for the M4. m4 is 4P+6E while binned m3 pro is 5P+6E, but single core on m4 is way better than m3, and m4 is more power efficient to last 6 hours long (18 vs 24 hours) when watching videos, according to apple specs page
The only reasonable change i wanted them to make that they didn't is wifi7
Spoiler Alert: It doesn't change much. It's not really a noticeable upgrade from the M3. There. Saved you 12 minutes.
If I choose to upgrade, I'd go with an M3 MacBook Pro, base memory and up to 1TB storage. This will be sufficient for everything I want to do with it, and have enough space to last me a little bit longer.
Can you make a video on how to factory reset a MacBook Pro sequoia
Thanks Boris.
You're velcome
Great video. And great DB statues in the back!
Most powerful mac from the current year is still weaker than the M2 Ultra from 3 years ago. Womp womp
In what way exactly? ...Do keep in mind that's a completely different kind of computer altogether
Does anyone know if base M4 Macbook pros get pro motion?
Now when it comes to ThunderBolt 5 on the MacBook Pro M4 Pro/M4 Max models. About time Apple stepped up to put the latest Thunderbolt 5 port introduced September 12, 2023 by Intel in it's latest product. Should be in all of the next versions of Mac's. "Think different" after all.
So M4 MacBook Pro or M4 Mac Mini? I'm not wealthy, and influencer, business owner or an power-user (purchasing both is absolutely out of the question) so which one of the two should I purchase? I'm genuinely asking lmk 💯🗣️
There is no M4 Mac Studio, not yet anyways
Macbook air m3 and M2 with 16 ram? Finally!!
I thought I was in the wrong video when I heard the intro.
Are we still waiting for Face ID on the Mac or did I miss it?
Still waiting
$200 price cut across the board thats about it.
This will hurt used prices so your best bet is a used mac providing it has at least 16Gb.
Speed difference not that much
Find it annoying that we can't get the max in silver.
You can get it in silver
I wanted to get it but the base is 1600😔
Not interesting. Same thing for many years in a row. :( Until they remove the "bangs" from the screen, I have no desire to buy.
Me waiting for Nvidia to announce RTX 5000 series
M4 Macbook Pro!!
When do you guys think Mac Studios are coming out?
I believed you for a moment. No FOOLED today? Cmooon Greg!
In Russia apple products available?
Usually smuggled in by neighboring nation mafias. Armenia is one.
just give us 4 ports like the intel mac bro. cmon'. i bet the m5 is going to drop in a year and their going to sell it as " we added an extra port " lol
I think im getting that m4 not the pro 16 512 is a good buy im just using it for audio playback 😅
Max should start with 64gb and got to 256gb !!
Please - enough of this clichéd title; stop using "this changes everything!" / "game changer!". Rise above this, Greg.
Yes I bought the MBP max 128 8tb 16
Still rockin' the M1 air editing 4k 60fps footage. No need for me to upgrade yet haha
I went from M1 to M3 pro for desing and video... and let me tell you: it saves a lot of time.
Pre-ordered the 14" 14/32 M4 Max, gonna replace my base M1 model. Can't wait to see the render times in Blender.
What screen did you choose?
@@Konstantinos_A just the standard screen, don't want to compromise on clarity/colours.
FFS, can we PLEASE get Face ID already?!?!
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING? Language to 2x Espanyol dubbing? So confused right now!!!
Love the Intro
That was a good accident 🤣
lol ty
