- In this video, I talk about Six Flags Great Adventure's standup roller coaster, Green Lantern! This is a ride I personally enjoy, that has a horrible reputation at the park. I'm here to explain why it's actually a great ride, and is over-hated!

I apologize for the “popping” that can be heard in parts of the video. Still trying to figure out why this is happening, and will hopefully have it fixed by the next video!
I remember Sarajevo Bobsleds, which was on that location before Scream Machine.
This was the most painful ride i’ve ever been on. Both of my calves cramped up on the first loop and every loop after they hurt worse. I couldn’t walk after.
I got on this ride after a few year hiatus due to living in the Midwest. I have a membership so now I got frequently. I remember how painful it was the first time. I visited in August of 2022, and me and my wife got on it. I thought to myself, I’m going to regret this but wth. It starts off decent enough, but it’s not until the ride is half way done where the head-banging starts and then it’s like, a ride of agony. I had on sunglasses and well, it didn’t feel good. At the end, I felt in my legs, crotch, and had a headache afterward. In my opinion, this ride is not gonna last much longer.
Usually the audio is the Green Lantern Oath going up the lift.

I’m just at the high limit so this hurts my head a lot but good ride🎉
In the front two rows as well as the back row,the train doesnt crimp and bend as much,therefore making it easier on the legs and crotch. I too found an appreciation for this ride. Thanks for the love, great review ✊🏽
This coaster has a really good layout, I just don’t like the stand up factor. You can feel the forces, just not always in the best way. Also, I think it’s pretty smooth as well
Most people did not like it because some people it’s based off of the Green Lantern movie from 2011 and a stand up coaster. I really like it because it has more inversions than other stand up coasters. The movie was good in my opinion.
The Layout is great for green lantern, if they made it a floorless, it could be better than bizzaro and would help decrease on the crowds at superman

I don't think so. Bizarro already has a better layout to begin with. Plus it likely wouldn't be as smooth as Bizarro, due to it being relocated once.
Usually if I can complain it's "ow my head I'm gonna throw up" when I get off Which has happened only but I still ride it lol
Is it just me or is this ride like hella fun. Nothing beats driving into the parking lot and seeing this coaster run. The turn around into the drop is great and the drop is also good plus the ejector on the midcourse is great.

Wait, the break run doesn’t trim you? I rode it today and was brought to a blistering speed of 0 miles an hour. I swear that thing was about to valley.
Typically, the mid-course brake run does not slow the train down on Green Lantern
I enjoy this ride, the forces in the beginning section are great and I don’t really get beaten up on this one at all, it’s definitely smooth and a ride I get on every time I go back to my home park
I have ridden this coaster many times when it was in Kentucky. I am happy to hear that it is still around.
Green lantern is literally the worst coaster I have ever ridden. It is absolutely terrible.
They should RMC it
Great video, only issue i ever had was head banging but usually 1st and 2nd row is minimal. Last row usually always head bangs for me. And with riddler revenge, rode it once in 2016 last row and i could not believe has smooth it is, my guess is the consistent climate doesn’t warp the track like the climate from Kentucky and New Jersey does to green lantern. I’d rather people hate this ride shorter line when i want to ride

Riddler was a lot smoother than lantern was when I rode b&m just needs to use to new stand up trains
The vertical loop was originally painted green, but then repainted yellow. So its not like they just didn't paint it from Chang

Honestly it would be a great ride if you could sit down. The standing feature is too painful for me to enjoy it

I kinda agree with you, although I don’t think Great Adventure really needed a relocated Stand-up coaster. Don’t get me wrong, I think Green Lantern is a decent ride, but IMO they should move it to a Six Flags park that either has little-to-no B&M’s, like Darien Lake or St. Louis, maybe even Mexico, and have the stand-up trains replaced with floorless ones.
As for what should replace Green Lantern, it should definitely be a B&M Wing coaster. I feel like a wing could’ve been a replacement for the now defunct Great American Scream Machine instead of a Stand-up.
Again, I find Green Lantern to be a decent Stand-up, but I also feel as though it desperately needs to be turned into a floorless, and since Great Adventure already has Medusa, relocation to another park will make converting Green Lantern a possibility.
This stand-up is overhated despite that there are others like Riddler's Revenge and Georgia Schorcher that get more positive feedback that this one.
I miss scream machine. I only ride green lantern in the front middle seats during holiday in the park when it runs slow

My head was banging left and right the entire time. None of my party enjoyed it.
I rode green lantern for the first time and people are overreacting it didn’t hurt my legs and my head does bang but it’s not bad for me I personally love the coaster but it’s probably only going to stay there another 5 to 10 years because not a lot of people like and ride this coaster I went on it holiday in the park there wasn’t even a line this coaster had hype only for a year or 2 after it opened now it’s a shadow of what was before green lantern
I always thought it was a fun ride, although I've only been on it once. I think this will be the next coaster to get removed out of the major ones.
That’s definitely a possibility, but then again, it can pull a pretty long line on crowded days
Ive only ever ridden this coaster in the front and back row (just like any other coaster) and each time I've literally needed to take ibuprofen after and no other coaster has EVER had me do that.

Went on this a few days ago. I stood in line for 45 mins (the longest line in the park that day) and thought the concept of the “stand up coaster” was cool and gave it a shot. And boy was I wrong!! This is by far the worst roller coaster in the park. This banged my head so bad and every time we hit the loop my legs felt like they were about to break! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 it would def be better if it was a sit down type coaster. I will not ride again.
I agree it’d definitely be better with sit down trains, I’ve just been lucky enough to get some great rides on it!
They removed a coaster that caused headaches for a coaster that causes headaches and bruises on testicles. I really hope the news trains patented by B&M go to Green Lantern because the whole concept needs to be redone. Iron Wolf when it was at Six Flags Great America was painless, and so was Riddlers Revenge.
Green Lantern hurts my ears and I wish this ride was a wing or a 4 Dimension and I wish Green Lantern was higher and faster than the Riddler’s Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain
