hey friend, like i'm brazilian and i don't understand much in english, because the game is english of course. Well, I would like to ask a few questions, what difference does it make what tires you buy, like "medium" "hard" tires, what is the difference between them? is the duration? Better on curves? on acceleration? the wear? which is the best to use mainly in racing events with super fast rails, since I tried to go to an "endurance" event and had to enter the pit stop twice as often as the others, can you help me? thank you for here ^-^
Softs give the most grip but wear out fast.
Hards have the least grip but last the longest.
Mediums are an even balance between softs and hards.

Im having problems with this championship.. currently stuck on Hong Kong with a CLK GTR with 1061 bhp that no matter how well I race I cant reach the Minolta.. it just races lightspeed ahead of me on the first laps and gets absurdly away from the pack in all situations.. any tips? EDIT: correcting my bhp
The CLK GTR isn't fast enough to keep up with the Minolta or Mercedes Sauber C9, even if you increase the power to 1000BHP, it's not fast enough. Circuits with lots of straights can keep up with cars like them, but circuits like HongKong or circuits with lots of turns, the CLK GTR can't turn fast so, no matter how fast your car is, they have a faster turn speed than you.

I scored 5th with my Toyota GT-One in this race. Still won the championship anyway.
But I came back later with the Polyphony F1 car and wrecked this f- Minolta :D
I dont speak inglish at all but il try to do my best to help you. The CLK GTR is a great car but the minolta is the OP car in the game (without counting the Sauber c9). If you want to win w/ de CLK you need:
No turbo (because the tire wear is excesive)
Racing medium or soft tires and a better race strategi. You need to reach the first place with the soft tires and get gap from the second car (much gap as you can), make a pit stop and put the medium tires and run the fast as you can. With enough lucky you can beat the minolta

I've never seen anyone mess with the "ballast weight" car adjustment. Does it make the front of the car heavier, so to speak? Is that why your front tires expire sooner? If that is it I'm not sure what the advantage of that would be but I'm not much of a car kinda guy and for the most part I used to just B-Spec it out in Gran Turismo 4 lol, so my understanding is probably off in general. Maybe it helps with acceleration?

are you using manual or auto? and what is the function of adjusting the ballast weight?
Manual. Putting on more ballist increases the amount of A-Spec points you get for winning.

@@LiamG-95 they basically serve no purpose, just points that go towards a “high score”
@@LiamG-95the other reason it exists is to see how your well your cars go against your opponents. If you have the lowest points, you pretty much have an overpowered car for the race. If it’s high, then you have an underpowered car meaning you’ll struggle a bit trying to compete.
